Quote Briar_Rose: The point is if you were to say I just don't like black people, period; everyone would have a problem with that. If you were to say that about white people, hispanic- whatever people would be offended.

To say I don't agree with some of their actions is understandable, but to say I just don't like them because they're gay isn't nice at all. That's hurtful to an entire group of people that have done nothing to no one.

I don't care if a gay person comes up with a cure for cancer, if a gay person pulled me out from in front of a speeding train I'd punch his lights out for putting his hands on me. I'm not a hypocrite here people, I equally dislike all gay people. You call it being hurtful I call it being honest, had you rather I lie to your face and talk about you behind your back? How about little credit for being honest forth coming?
Me Thinks Thou doust protest too much!

Obviously you need credit for being ignorant and close-minded too. If you honestly do not have the ability to see that there is a purpose and a place for every person you don't really have the right to voice your opinions...your rights end where someone else's begin...and I for one would be grateful for a cure to cancer regardless of the source.

Keyton how about we also give you credit for being incredibly ignorant and closeminded as well. Your rights begin where mine end. I would gladly take the cure for cancer regardless of the source. I don't know or care why you "hate" gay people but I am sure they arent the only benefactors of your extreme opinion hope you learn to enjoy your life and take pleasure in the world hate doesn't help anything.

In our ever changing world, the majority of people demonstrate tolerance towards each other today more so than in the past. We are a society who wants to move forward in every aspect of our life. While the values set forth for us by societies of the past serve us well, we as the movers and shakers of the present society have to go one step further and exercise what those values really taught us. Treat others as you would want to be treated...or something like that! The Luke and Noah storyline will fizzle out just like the big deal about intra-racial marriages fizzled out. Acceptance and respect for each other's differences has come a long way.

So because we are supporting a fellow poster and promoting peace, love, and understanding we are a vicious click??? You do realize how ridicilous that sounds don't you. Your spewing hate, and your upset with those of us who don't agree? You want your right to your opionion, but you don't want to hear mine, and lower yourselves to school yard behavior...all in the name of hate? Well Bravo! Bravo! (btw...that does make you a hyprocrite) In the words of singer/song writer Elvis Costello..."whats so funny about peace love and understanding"?

It's okay Keyton, I'll give you credit. Some prejudice people will never change, and are extremely hateful, violent, and angry. If they can't be swayed I'd rather know who my enemies are.

So thanks Keyton. I'm sorry you will cut off a vast majority of wonderful people for, well really I don't know what reason, but thank you for giving me the heads up to stay away from you.

And I mean that seriously.

I have never met anyone with so much hate for a fellow human being.
I wouldn't care if some one was green and came from Mars if they could find the cure for cancer . I have lost several members of my family because of cancer.
As for being hit by a train , that remark just blows my mind. I'm thankful that I am not cold and uncaring like some people.
What happened to you to make you hate a specific type of people? Are there others , like handicapped and etc. ?

Honey, believe that their are others. This guy has a SERIOUS hatred for one of the black characters on GL and I was sure I knew the main reason for it.

Someone that feels that way will has those feelings for more then just one specific group.

But again, I'd rather have this anger said to my face then behind my back where I can't keep myself away from it.

You got that right sweetheart , I had rather it hit me in the face instead of my back. I have no compassion for people like that. I would never want to be around such hate.

Quote s0303: i've been reading on the boards all kinds of things regarding the luke/noah storyline, and about how God didn't create a man to be with a man, etc...and had to respond, unfortunately. i am a gay man. one of my first memories is finding a boy attractive in pre-kindergarten...yes, this is true. i didn't even know what being gay meant or even heard the word before, i just knew i thought boys were cute. it was just an instinct. how many people on this board sat down one day and made a conscious decision who they were attracted to, whether they were going to live a gay lifestyle or a straight one? my guess is no one. neither did i. it was just how i was, or how i was born (i'm sure a lot of people don't believe that) i don't know how or why it was me, i wish it hadn't been me. it's not easy to be a minority, someone who got picked on and spit at and beat up in school for who you were, it's just what happened. i didn't choose this. so, next time you feel the need to say that this story is disgusting, or that you think they shouldn't have these characters on the show, maybe you will remember there are real people who are gay and reading your posts and maybe think twice for once. and then go ahead and post if you still feel the need, for that will show how little compassion and lack of understanding you have...thank you for reading this.

Thank you! EVERYONE needed to hear that, and I completely agree w/all you have said!

I agree , very well put. I admire you for posting on this topic. I wish everyone could show more compassion .
I hope I haven't caused you any pain , we all need understanding. It would be a much better world to live in if we could reach out a friendly hand instead of knocking someone down.
