Now I wasn't going to get onto the topic of religion but in MY faith we do believe that God created Adam/Eve. Everybody's faith is different in what they believe so please do not tell me I have no point there!! That is not yr place to say as u don't know me. I wouldn't diss on u b/c u r Jewish. You have a right to believe what u do and I have a right to believe what I do. I am Christian and that is MY choice.

Also the Jewish Bible is different from the Christian Bible so it will most likely not say the same thing about that story. The Christian Bible says incest is WRONG, VERY WRONG!! Do NOT ever tell me to learn something b4 I post. Please don't speak to me that way!! If u r going to refute my post, at least be respectful about it!!!!

There's really no need to take yr bad day out on other posters. They were writing on other topics just fine b4 Nuke came on the show and I am sure they could find even more to write about. If I don't like them, I don't like them!!


I don't really think he is taking out his bad mood on the board. I think he has had it with being offended since he is gay. It helps to remember that when you say things like "god doesn't approve" or "gays have aids" that these comments are directed at real people. Real people have feelings. Would anyone go up to a person that they didn't know but thought was gay and tell them that they were going to hell because they were gay and god hated them? No, probably not. So you probably shouldn't do it here.

And, like I said earlier, the God comment doesn't work with everyone. Even gay people go to church. There are many ways to interpret the bible. Plus, our country gives us the choice to not have a religious affiliation. We are free to believe in evolution if we wish. That does not make any one camp better than the other. If someone doesn't believe in god, then they shouldn't be held by the rules anyone's god imposes.


Why is everybody jumping on me for my opinion? I stated it and now I am just plain wrong.

Further, if god is so perfect, why did he create serial killers, pedophiles, rapists? Their bodies go together too when rapists rape women. It is illogical to bring religion into the debate because not everyone believes the way you do about it. Even in different religions there are differences. Catholics believe in confession, Babtists don't. Who is right? Who gets to go to heaven? Pentacostals believe in speaking in tounges, Nazarene's don't. Who gets to go to heaven? Jehovah Witness believe that you shun family if they drop out of the church, Scientoligists believe in aliens. Who gets to go to heaven? Not to mention the agnostics and the athiests. Granted, I just picked one example from the religions I chose, but the point remains the same.

And besides, doesn't the bible teach not to judge other people? Doesn't the bible tell us to love our fellow man? Didn't god write down his 10 commandments? Is homosexuality in there?


I do live my life by the Bible as much as I can and it is no business of yrs how I live altho I happen to live my life cellibate and alone b/c I choose to. I am disabled so asking a man to share my life would not be fair.

Killers and rapists created themselves b/c God gives everyone a FREE WILL, He does not control that. Stop jumping on my for my beliefs.

I totaly agree with you on this whole subject. In here you have to agree to disagree. Everybody has there own opinions, but everybody don''t like to hear them.

Sweetie you aren't wrong , I respect my Bible , I never lay anything on top of it. To me it is not just a book .
It is the doors that open to my here after .
Don't ever let anyone put you down because of being a Christian . With out faith in God , my life would be empty.
I admire you. God bless you for standing strong.
I respect all religions , I don't judge anyones lifestyle , that is their business how they live and how they believe.
I would expect to be treated with the same respect.
It is not our place to judge.

Meow, I am not slamming on you for being a christian. I don't judge anyone for believing in their god. But who is to say that their god is right? That was the bigger point to my post from earlier that went ignored. In another post you responded to joeyzboy and said basically that your religion is better than his. That is your opinion. You have a right to your opinion, but should law be made based upon a person's opinion? What if that opinion is not yours? See what I am trying to get at? I am glad that you stated your opinion, but in doing so and referencing the bible, you are opening yourself up to challenges against that particular argument. Again, I ask, how would you feel if someone told you that your religion is stupid? You didn't take to kindly to that. All I am advocating is that you treat homosexuals on this board with the same amount of respect. Switzerland and Margo and others are wonderful people who don't deserve to be insulted and judged by a peer. They have not committed a crime. They are just trying to live thier lives, just like we all are. I brought up the lifestyle issue because a homosexual lifestyle really isn't any different than my married lifestyle or your alone lifestyle. We do the same things, just love differently. That is all I meant by that. I don't want you to leave the message board. It is important to have different people to converse with. But if you can't be polite and considerate of the feelings of the other posters that are different from you, then maybe this really isn't the place for you.

Wmm - everyone does have a right to thier opinions. However, opinions can be expressed in a manner that does not insult other posters. Guidelines clearly state that no slurs regarding sexuality are allowed. It is not so much the opinions of people who disagree with me that is the issue, it is the guideline issue for me. That is my job. And really, it goes both ways doesn't it, not everyone wants to hear the opposing viewpoint either.

I agree with you Plot , but I like funky Kool aid , LOL.
I don't put anyone down , we all have feelings , I try to respect that. I'm not here to make anyone feel bad. Let's just remember that and be kind to each other.
Don't judge someone just because you don't like their life style , skin color , religion or if they don't have a religion. Only they have that right to choose , it is their choice , not yours or mine.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! Plot, i love how you can throw in humor to take the edge off..i agree with your post and usually stay out of these topics myself. someone always gets offensive..someone always gets offended. no winning.

but i REMEMBER the crazy cult people that said they were hopping on a comet LMAO!! did you ever see the saturday night live spoof where they showed televisions being intercepted with a signal and all of a sudden it was the crazy cult group on tv saying "hey everybody we made it" - i am laughing thinking of that. i am like you...i may find myself judging something RADICAL such as that but otherwise hey, to each their own.

I will say i consider myself a christian but i question many things. for one, i don't believe in adam in eve. i take a scientific standpoint on that. i think we evolved. do i believe in Christ and God? absolutely. I know i may get slammed, but i think the bible has truths mixed with some fabrications and maybe a few exaggerations. after all who wrote it? do i believe in noah's ark? ummmm no. I do believe in free will as mentioned above. I believe in a higher power but i don't think this higher power created serial killers ,etc. i think there is free will and some are swayed by the darker side but many more are swayed by an innate desire to be good and to respect others. and yes the bible may preach some things but it also mentions to not judge. there are many religions, may forms of God (Buddha, etc) - I think if you are good at heart and intentions are good & respectful toward your fellow man then you are on the right path.

I also do not believe God is as judgmental as some portray God to be. I don't believe God is waiting for you when you pass with a nice large scroll of all of your misdeeds, even the tiny ones and is picking through them. "well you would have made it to heaven if it was not for that time you lied to not get in trouble when you were 10" ...i believe God realizes humans are very imperfect creatures and there is forgiveness to a degree. i also believe God somewhat has a sense of humor. these are my personal beliefs.

and as for aids, any unprotected sex can produce a nice rainbow assortment of lots of diseases. i agree with what another poster about emily and allison. a hooker and a past porn star with a meth addiction. hmmmmm. i find luke and noah to be quite tame and PG to that. this story has been in good taste and even moved unbelievably slow. and as another posted...there is no pleasing everyone.

I never said I was jewish. I was just citing jewish lore. The Ezekiel quote is from the christian bible, as is the story of Lot having sex with his daughters and begetting sons.
Sorry if I offended you, but if you're going to choose to believe some antiquated religion (and, unlike sexual orientation, religion is totally a choice) you have to expect to take a few knocks.

I wasn't going to post anymore but I just couldn't let this go. Where did I EVER say that my religion was better than his? I DID NOT!! I only said that the Jewish/Christian faith have different Bibles and that is true, I know that for a fact. Is it my fault I think the lifestyle is wrong? No it isn't and I have a right to MY OPINION as he has a right to his or everybody else has a right to theirs. I WAS being polite and considerate and he was coming down on me and judging me. OK I'm done now and I'm gone now as well. You r so open to understanding their POV but u can't understand mine. God DOES NOT CONDONE that kind of lifestyle and He never has, that is a FACT. And you are not even trying to understand where I am coming from.

You really think you were being polite and considerate? I didn't even challenge you being a christian and you are flipping out. What do you think it does to a gay man or woman to hear you say that they are disgusting? That your god does not condone their actions (basically saying they are doomed to hell)? You really call that polite?

Joeyzboy challenged your religious beliefs and you went ballistic. What is the difference there? He is saying that there are different viewpoints out there and you are unwilling to look at any of them. You say that everyone is judging you, but perhaps you need to reread some of your statements.

Finally, you ask if it is your fault for having the beliefs that you do....um, yeah, it is. your beliefs are a choice, so ultimately, you have the power to decide what you choose to believe. If you choose to believe you are better than a person who is gay, then yes, you are being judgemental and that is your choice.

Because you obviously do not know the bible! The King James Version, (that would be the christian one) not only does it have Lot having sex with his daughters, but the bible says it is okay for a man to rape a woman as long as he marries her after, and that slavery is fine as long as you treat your slaves well. Maybe you should read the bible instead of having it collect dust and then you would know the laws you are supposed to be following.

Now I wasn't going to get onto the topic of religion but in MY faith we do believe that God created Adam/Eve. Everybody's faith is different in what they believe so please do not tell me I have no point there!! That is not yr place to say as u don't know me. I wouldn't diss on u b/c u r Jewish. You have a right to believe what u do and I have a right to believe what I do. I am Christian and that is MY choice.

Also the Jewish Bible is different from the Christian Bible so it will most likely not say the same thing about that story. The Christian Bible says incest is WRONG, VERY WRONG!!
