This comtaminated land issue has come up so suddenly, is it possible that we have another mystery on our hands? Now the animals are getting sick? I'm wondering with James's impending return, if he could somehow be responsible. OR, maybe it is James that bails Paul out of this mess and then Paul will owe Dad big time.

Didn't Craig poison the water or put something in the water when he was angry at Meg during their marriage? I remember something about that not that long ago.
My husband thinks James S will return to save Paul's A$$ from being killed (of course there will be a price to pay for that).

a) save his unborn child
b) save his marriage
c) save the farm
d) save his reputation


I think James will bail Paul out of the mess with Derek etal. You are correct, I think. BUT............and maybe Derek doesn't even know this yet, but.............in the end James will reveal to Paul (just my theory now) that he was behind EVERYTHING. He was behind...

a) the land contamination
b) Paul having to go to a criminal for $
c) Dusty's disappearance.

And just like the Evil Emperor in Star Wars, James will say to Paul right when he's got him where he wants him........

"Young fool. Only now........at the end.........do you understand."

At least that's the way I would write it. You think the writers have this much imagination? We'll see.

This may be totally offbase but I wonder if the loan shark isn't actually funded by/from James Stenbeck. Right now, he may not know the Paul RYAN is James STENBECK's son. Maybe James comes back to stop his goon from killing Paul AND to make Paul aware he now "owes" him for saving the day, the farm, his marriage, his life...

Also..........five will get you ten that the guy romancing Lucinda is also "in bed" with James.

I've wondered how did the farm get contaminated so FAST? Emma and her late husband lived there for years & years so they would not have anything to pollute their farm. Yet all of a sudden the land is polluted? It doesn't make sense to me.
