I know I should remember but who is Dani Andropolous? Steve's daughter? If so, who is her mother?

Hi Betsy Andropolus was played by Meg Ryan who has really gone on to fame. Betsy was married to Craig Montgomery but Steve Andropulus fathered Dani but I can't remember who Betsy's mother was?????

I loved Betsy and Steve.Meg Ryan is still one of my favorite actor's.She was the best Betsy ever.

OK. So now we've seen Dani. I for one like her look - but can't help but wonder who she's gonna cause trouble for.
Also - Last time Dani was on she was a high school student, but the was 12 years ago. Looks like the writers have once again screwed around with a character's age.
Also - wasn't it weird when Emily said "how's your mother? I haven't seen Betsy in years"? Betsy's her sister for cryin' out loud!

Dani is the daughter of Betsy Stewart Montgomery Andropoulos and Steve Andropolous. She was born in 1983 but was aged up 3 years since then for a teen storyline. She is the niece of Emily, cousin/niece of Allison, great-niece to Susan (and Dee and Annie), thus cousin to Daniel (and the quads). I'm still wishing they'll bring back the quads!!

Dani lived in Oakdale until she was 4 or 5 and then she moved with her mother to Wisconsin. She came back when she was "14" and stayed with her great-grandma Ellen Stewart. She had "daddy-issues" with Steve's being in jail and caused some trouble the last time she was in town. Kim Hughes was her step-grandma when she was a little girl so Kim is very emotionally involved with Dani's life. Dani hasn't slept with anybody in Oakdale (that we know of) so there's lots of good s/l available!

And since Betsy and Emily are half-sisters, I guess everything should be "half"---half-aunt, half-cousin, etc.

Also, Emily was aged-up (for the Allison surrogacy) and is now 42 instead of 37. This makes Emily only 1 year younger than Betsy, Margo, Frannie, and Holden---and only 1 year older than Meg, 2 years older than Lily.

Wonder what problems the writers will come up with for Dani? The poor children on soaps have no chance - first Andy (Kim & Bob's son) was a nice young man and then he had a bad drinking problem, next was Chris and all his problems, Adam(Margo & Hal's son) was a nice young man and after leaving home and coming back he turned into a psycho, then Casey had a gambling problem which led to him going to prison. Oh, I forgot Emily and Allie. The writers still have the lives of Parker, JJ, Faith, Sage and the invisible child (can'think of his name) of Lily and Holdens that stays by himself all the time. Aaron is about the only one that I can think of that doesn't have a lot of problems.
