Ellie was involved with Kurt, but they never married. He later became involved with Samantha and they are presumed dead after an explosion when they were trying to flee Oakdale. I don't think they are dead and they need to come back home!

I know Ellie Snyder was married while in Oakdale, but I'm pretty sure she and the character she married (I'll only reveal if you want me to) divorced before she left town. So, unless they've referred to her getting married offscreen, I believe Ellie is available. That was one nice looking actress too, who played her. A definite hot number.

I want to thank you all , this is so much fun trying to remember the long ago. Gosh ..I've been married forty five years and some of this stuff takes me so far back ,to the years of the sixties and seventies. I'm having a blast reading the post on here. This is just wonderful to recall the past history of ATWT.

I am pretty sure it was kirk. Also the actress who played her was renee props. And she was cute!

Well, Plot, you and I have a different recollection because I recall Kirk being involved with both Iva and Ellie and eventually Ellie and he married. When Ellie had an abortion though without his knowledge, Kirk and she split up and Ellie left town. Also, Ellie had been married before coming to Oakdale, but I don't believe that individual's name was ever mentioned.

I still think the REAL love of Ellie's life was Brock Lombard. They had REAL chemistry together. He was played by Gregory Beecroft who had played one of the Reardon brothers (both the Reardons and Synders were poor families created by the late Douglas Marland) prior to that on Guiding Light.

OK, you are right....they did get married...that was a long time ago for me LOL I loved loved loved Ellie Snyder!!!! I wont say I want her back because they would probably make her a homeless drug addict!!!!

I want to thank you all , this is so much fun trying to remember the long ago. Gosh ..I've been married forty five years and some of this stuff takes me so far back ,to the years of the sixties and seventies. I'm having a blast reading the post on here. This is just wonderful to recall the past history of ATWT.


I'm so happy to hear that. Part of what makes me keep tabs on ATWT even though it can be unwatchable some days is that it is like an old friend. I am 47 years old but even as a toddler can remember Penny, Lisa, etal. I'll probably reveal all of the answers tomorrow and try to do one of these once per month. Thanks again for the feedback.

Kirk (the second one... not the one played by Christian LeBlanc) and Ellie were married. She became pregnant, discovered the baby had a birth defect and had an abortion. He was mad/heartbroken and they got divorced.

She was also involved with Brock Lombard *swoon* but I think that was mostly backstory, because his main story (if I remember correctly) was with Emily (whose father did NOT get it on with his mother )

As a poor repressed Soap watcher...and by that I mean no one i know watches this particular show, I have had more fun "figuring" it all out, and being able to discuss w/ others anything and everything. First time in the last 20 or so years. So in other words Thank you... thank you all for a very good time!
