Was just wondering ( I'am New to this computer lingo ) but what does s/l and TPTB stand for ?? Boy, do I feel dumb !
But, I still would like to know in cause I see it again.

I made sure noone answered you on TPTB before replying. TPTB = The powers that be. Meaning producers, writers etc.

Wow...I hadn't heard about this. I wonder if Jon leaves, if Kelly will follow.

I remember back around December 2007 the rumors of an unlikely duo hitting the sheets...and now we see who it is. I'm beginning to wonder if MB was objecting to it, which could have been one of the reasons they put out a casting call. Pretty far fetched, but I wonder.

Willow...thanks for asking what TPTB means. I just figured it was the initals for some writers.

Check the thread "Computer Anagrams" on this board. Tells what some of the anagrams means.

I'll believe Jon is leaving when I see it. As you say, where would that leave Kelly? Jon has said he enjoys working with Noelle so that's not it. This is his livlihood. It's the same as you & I. We can't afford to quit because something doesn't go our way. (Or maybe he can!)

Aaah Doug Marland. There are no more daytime story tellers like him.

Sorry,but as you can see I'm not a big fan of CG.Scott was fired,and Martha left(I stand corrected).If Jon leaves(some people are saying he was fired)are we going to have a FauxLily and FauxMike?This is not the soap I remember. In Doug Marland's days.......he would never treat the actors the way Chris Goutman is treating them.


This was a great soap in Doug Marland's, but now we are watching what is coming out of the demented mind of Chris Goutman. Pure XXX rated crap! Goutman needs to go!

She didn't want more air time. She wanted the same amount of airdates she had last year, not more. She didn't want more money, either. In fact, during her last contract, she took a big pay cut. It was never about the money.


You know , people would like you better as a poster if you didn't always have to act so damn superior .
We know you are very educated , but do you have to put everyone down by proving it? You attack every post like it is your duty to do so . Get a life, if you don't like posting with us , why do you stick around ? You are not making anyone like you at the rate you are going.


Either way, she was negotiating her contract. Next thing she new, her role was being recasted.

Douglas Marland was a soap genius! He knew how to weave storylines together and build upon them until they came to thunderous conclusion. Now the only writer who I think can compare to him is another former ATWT head writer, Hogan Sheffer. Unfortunately he no longer writes for ATWT either.

I wouldn't want to see him go either, but if he is unhappy it could be because the character of Holden has been so unlikable for so long that he feels there is no rainbow at the end of this s/l...who can say...all of the characters are unrecognizable on this show so they all are probably crying in their mocha...lol

I wanted to get back to you guys on this rumor/spoiler about an actor on ATWT being "fired"or "leaving". Supposingly it was Nelson Branco who let this "leak "saying this is someone big,and they would anounce the actor my Monday.....which was yesterday.So far I have seen nothing posted(or heard anything) .This rumor /spoiler was posted on two other boards where people were upset by this news and originaly thought it might be Katie/Terri,Margo/Ellen,etc.who would be leaving.
It is understandable for the anticipation for the next shoe to drop ,and see who Chris Goutman gives the next "ax"or if the actors are so fedup with the decline and/or ubsurdity of some of the s/l's that after many years on the show they leave.
At any rate ,I will keep you informed of what I hear about this ..........Thank You

I'm dying to know who it is or how many they will knock off. I don't car much for the Luke/Noah storyline. I wouldn't mind if they got rid of them because I usually find myself fstfwding those scenes. Sometimes I get bored with Paul and Meg, but then again there are times that I enjoy watching those 2. We'll just have to wait it out I guess.

I just got word that the actor who has been "fired"/let go is Jon Prescott(Mike Kasnoff).His last air date should be sometime in late August.

Hey Love , we could all use some moca , s/l stands for story line and I have no idea what TPTB stands for , I would like to know myself.
Thanks for the nice comments you made about my post . You are not dumb , we are an educated bunch on the board , some more than others . We all pull together as a team . It's nice to meet you. Remember..you are not dumb.

"TPTB"= The Powers That Be, in case anyone's still wondering. And wow, Holden (Jon H.) leaving?! Will his wife (Emily) follow? Will a domino effect ensue? The cast members are so intertwined in real life, yikes.
