I'm so sick of these story lines that will just END like nothing ever happened! Carly & Holden---He tells Carly he'll leave his wife and in the same day tells Lily he wants to make things work ? After all this him and Carly are done. Alison & Chris what the heck!

I agree. I know that the writers in the past few years have been criticized for dragging out a story line, but they need to find a happy medium between warp speed and slower than dirt.

Yes!!!! Since when can you bury a body and dig it up and have a good reason and the cops let you go. Shouldn't Paul be in trouble for being an accesory after the fact!

Yes, it seems to me maybe they are rushing things to get to the storyline they are planning for sweeps?

LOL i've been thinking about this too. where is the middle ground? oh and i just love the warp scene changes too...1 minute someone is leaving to go somewhere and in the next scene, bam! they are there! like they transported somehow..whatever happened to putting a "different" scene in the middle to allow the character a seemingly realistic timeframe to get there? i don't like the fast storylines either...viewers need a payoff.....they need to understand that most of us like to watch a buildup then watch it unfold into a real story with a real conclusion then on to the next. but not too fast and not crazy slow either. they used to be better than this...i only keep watching b/c when i started watching it was much better than it is now. (the stories)

Amen. The soaps of 40 years ago would be TOO slow for today's world, but the soaps of 20 years ago had a perfect pace. Each story should have at LEAST a 3 month arc. The better ones could go on for 6 to 12 months.

I so agree with all the comments. I remember when I first started watching soaps as a teenager, many years ago, that if you missed a few episodes you could still pick up the story and understand it when you came back to the show. Not any more. I feel like if I miss even part of a show, that I may have missed some crucial twist or explanation.

But then, they don't always provide explanations for many things that happen, either. For example, I still wonder why Elroy suddenly decided to steal manuscripts, why everyone thinks Noah's father is dead when he must have been an excellent swimmer, and so many other things.

And the "transporter effect" really bugs me. It is almost disorienting at times, making it hard to follow any kind of timeline.

But the one thing that bothers me the most is the way they build up a good story line and then just let the resolution fizzle out. They've done that so often lately, and it is really disappointing when that happens.

Oh well, I still love the show and I will keep watching and hope that they will fix these annoying problems.

I also detest the different time zones going on in oakdale. 1 min. Henry is serving up drinks in a "night"club and the next someone is ordering breakfast at Als. Sometimes there's a wardrobe change (to signify a diff. day) Only to have other characters in the same attire? Arrggh ...what's up with that?
