I'm sorry if I sound harsh. She is a very beautiful woman, and I think she's talented, and she seems very sweet, but Martha Byrne has been the only Lily I've ever known, and I just can't stand seeing anyone else play Lily. Noelle's scenes with Van (today and the episode earlier this week)... IDK, something about them doesn't seem natural. Whenever she's in a scene, I don't see Lily. I see Noelle acting as Lily. I can't explain it, and it's not a jab at her acting ability, I think she's been doing great, but she will just never play Lily like Martha. For me anyways.

I have to agree you with she is a good actress and very beautiful but she came in with big shoes to fill and I dont think anyone could be lily like martha

I respectfully disagree with you. I think that Noelle brings some dimension to Lilly's character. She's not quite as whiney. I think that it is time that the character of Lilly grew up. I think that we also need to remember that Martha left the show and I think that we need to give Noelle some time to grow into the character.

I am going to have to disagree..I too have been around long enough to see the old lily back in her teen years..but latley she was getting to be a whinny baby..The new lily doesn't whine like that..and this lily smiles..I think once everyone gets over MB this lily will do fine..and she is very attractive.

I have to disagree with the last 2 comments i have bee watching for awhile and martha was great brought great character to lily but now the new one doesn't have much character just sits there and smiles I think holden telling her hes cheating and her doing something crazy i think they might be preparing to get her off the show

She will never be Lilly to me either. She just doesn't seem right for the part to me. -----.

I agree, I used to watch Noelle on Loving and thought she was great. Unfortunately when one actress has played a character for so long you just can't picture anyone else playing that part. I remember when they tried to recast Lily before and that didn't go over very well either.

If we are voting, New Lily ------ ----- has zero chemestry with Holden. They should have done whatever they could to have keept the old Lily on. Big mistake! Bad recast!

You are harsh. Martha chose to leave the show. Noelle has done a great job and I accepted her as Lily from day one. She sure doesn't just"sit around and smile". She is a good actress and brings new dimension to Lily. I have been watching since early 60's, Martha is great but her last year it didn't seem her heart was in Lily. Maybe she got tired of being Lily. I think Noelle's acceptance far out numbers the fans who won't accept her. I doubt she will be leaving anytime soon.

I've been frustrated with Lily's character since Rose died. She/MB/Lily was never the same, IMO, after that. Writers problem or not. Having said that, MB, DID diplay vulnerability (some may call it whiney) that I don't get or see coming from the new actress. No offense to her, she is lovely and seems to be a fine actress but doesn't do it (for me) as Lily. I know I would be so upset if MB were still Lily with the Holden and Carly affair. I've vented many times how wrong it is, but just can't muster the same level of sympathy for the Lily actress.

I agree with you. Noelle is doing a great job portraying Lily. The other one was too whiney. I must say I didn't care for the other Lily at all, but this one is great!

OMG after reading this message- it was EXACTLY the same way I felt regarding the Holden/Carly affair. If Martha were still Lily- I would be very upset. BUT with the new ---- Lily, I just figure Holden should go for it with Carly. I beats being married to ------ Lily!
I myself have watched ATWT since I was young- it was my Mom's soap and I am carrying on the tradition. And sorry, but I also will never see anyone other than Martha as Lily.
