Barbara's Stomach

Was it not great when Barbara agreed to let Rick Decker consult on solving the murder by saying:

"As my stomach turns, I will accept your offer of help."

First of all, to have "as my stomach turns" uttered on As The World Turns is terrificly funny and for some of us old timers, it resurrected the comedy skits Carol Burnett used to do on her show where they parodied soap operas and the title was:

"As The Stomach Turns"

Every time the writers pull a gem like that, I think there may still be hope.

I thought that was funny too! As a matter of fact, Barbara has a Carol Burnett look to her...especially when she makes her eyes big.

Click and Clack from Car Talk on NPR have an animated show coming on PBS called "As the Wrench Turns". Not sure if it is a series or not.

Guess it's a popular name to poke fun at.

Lastly, my 7 year old asked me the other day...."Is this "As the World Spins"?

Good for your 7 year old! Always great to have another fan for the show. Let's hope it keeps on turning and spinning for a long time.

That line cracks me up, you should had named your thread "As my stomach turns"
