The point is that you can know someone quite well and not know that they are gay because some people don't feel comfortable coming out because they don't feel as though they are going to be accepted.

There are people in the military that have killed fellow soldiers because the were gay and are now in levinworth for murder. I am not saying you or anyone served with a murderer, just saying that it is a closely guarded secret.

On another note, No one really said anything about your family....just that there were probably gays that served with them....not really an insult, so I am not going to edit it.

Quote gibbony: Fox - smallest member of the dog family, which also includes wolves, coyotes, jackals, and dogs. Foxes are characterized by short legs, an elongated narrow muzzle, erect triangular ears, thick fur, and a long bushy tail.

I think this is a very rude and uncalled for comment. It can't be easy being a moderator with the differing of opinions and how heated humans can be at time. Everyone has the right to an opinion and everyone has the right to disagree; just use tact no need for harsh words or slurs!
You rock moderators!!!

As a person who doesn't have a dog in this fight(a metaphor) I think there were some things said in metaphoric terms that were taken literally. I think gibbony, was using fox guarding the chicken coop as a metaphor and Plot twister came back with thanks for saying I'm a fox. Then gibbony gave a defintion of a fox(that he probably cut and pasted from a website) then I think Plot thought he was calling her a name or something. I'm no genuis but even I can see that both sides were wrong in this one and no one person should be blamed, or threatened.

Thanks for another viewpoint. I don't feel threatend. And this should be the end of this particular part of the conversation.

Now, lets get back on topic regarding the kissing scene...

There may never be another kissing scene if they move back into the farm!! Why couldn't they use the cottage again or even Lily's big house?

I think it is because of Noahs need for family. The farm provides him with stability that he never had. I actually think he needs that for awhile.

While I would like to see this couple develop, I do want them to work out their demons and be a terrific couple.

I would like to see them spend some time alone. Ever since they started seeing each other it has been one thing after another. I think they need time to find out who each other is.

Personally, I think they have been thrown so many obstacles because they are a same sex couples. I think TPTB are trying to take this very very very slow to ease viewers in and get them used to the idea. If it were a hetero couple, they would be bedded and shedded at this point. But, I say cool, let Nuke take it slow and work out their issues and be the healthiest couple on the show. Works for me. Of course, they will be 90, but ..... LOL

I don't really agree about the bedded thing though. How long did Casey and Maddie wait? That was a while because she had issues. Noah has a lot of issues so imo it's not really unrealistic that they aren't in bed. Especially since Noah's in his first relationship with a guy.

no, no, no, I wasn't saying that I think they should go to bed together now. Things are way to screwy for both of them right now. I was just comparing the gay storyline to that of a straight couple. You do have a point with Maddie and Casey. But Maddie had HUGE issues too though, being molested and then her sister making her think she went nuts and was killing people.

On second thought, I guess there really isn't much difference with teens. Lucy is the only one I can think of that was having teenage sex on the show with Aaron. Even Allie waited. So, I stand corrected.

I think that what Noah went through was equally as terrible if not worse. To never have parents and then to find out that your father killed your mother, then he tried to shoot down your bf like a wild deer in the park!

And he's coming out.

It makes good sense to me, and I think they should make a whole big deal out of them being together for the first time. That'd be sweet.

Another plus, because they arent in bed together, straight people that aren't so open to the Luke and Noah story might come to understand that being gay isn't all about sex.

You make some great points. I also think it would be for the best if they took the time to develop and nurture their relationship without sex.

I think the whole "Emma's rules" is a lame excuse to make them wait, because Emma's away right now, and if they REALLY wanted to seal the deal they could do it anywhere they wanted. It doesn't have to be at the farm.

Once again, I think they should wait and let themselves fall back into their relationship, but they should just let the characters say "We should wait", instead of using Emma's rules as their main persuasion.

of course it's friendly all the people who usually oppose the storyline have been scared off by threats of being banished.
I'm not really worried about it, I hate the storyline but doesn't do me any good to keep saying that because nothing is going to change. Their going to keep showing that shat as long as people keep jabbering about it. So keep praising it, worshiping it, build a statue in their honor because you have complete immunity.

No one has been threatened with banishment. One person was told to talk to me with respect or else they would be reported. Big difference. I don't control who gets banned or not.

You can dislike this storyline all you want, alot of people do. No one, though, can disrespect other people. No one has immunity against rudeness.
