I'll answer this one gladly, it's because women are feminine and men are not. We look at men as strong and tough and we look at women as soft and feminine, they have curves that are sexy.

Well since when is kissing only a feminine action? It's a display of affection and love. It's got nothing to do with gender. Even if men are viewed as strong and tough, if kissing is solely a feminine action than a male kissing a person of any gender, male or female, would be inappropriate wouldn't it?

Kissing is about love, and since gays, like all HUMANS, have the ability to love, why is it only wrong for them?

Your crazy if you think we will ever see a resolution to this problem in our life time. Until the day I die I will oppose it and I don't know what your gonna do. Ask me a yes or no question and I'll give you a yes or no ansower, how hard is that. I'm not going to ask you to drop it or get on with anything, you can fight the good fight till your blue in the face I don't care. I'm not going to change my feeling about homosexuality and there are millions just like me who will never change their mind.

Quote Valinator1: It disturbs me as well too. I have nothing against gays in particular, but on the other hand it's difficult for me to watch 2 men kiss each other. I think it disturbs me more than 2 women kissing. Not that I'm a big fan of 2 women kissing, but I think it's more acceptable then if 2 guy's kiss. Although I mentioned this before I fstfwd the whole storyline between Luke and that dude.

I wasn't just referring to this paticular post. But anyways, since you are really clueless as to why I made the comment, I don't expect you yo understand.
I see you're into bigotry along with your troublemaking ways.

What the hell or you talking about?
She's not bashing or acting like a bigot. Didn't you read what she said? she has nothing against gays, just the sight of two men kissing make her uncomfortable. Your the trouble maker, she's just making a simple statement that it makes her uncomfortable. Watching those CSI shows where they cut people open and examine them looking for clues makes me uncomfortable, am I a bigot too? You need to take a chill pill and cut this girl some slack okay.

I'm just expressing my opinion. I'm not a bigot! ...I have a lot of gay friends, but does that mean I want to watch them kiss??? I don't think so!!!! You need to take a chill pill and btw this is a free country last time I heard and I'm entitled to post whatever I want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone's feelings. You don't have to be rude and and try to antagonize me! It seems that you get a kick out of antagonizing me!!!Why don't you stop reading my posts if they offend you so much!!!

Edited by PlotTwister. As an aside, yes you do have the right to have your opinions. But I think you need to take a look at how words can hurt and be offensive. F** and such aren't the only words that can hurt.

It's just an opinion. I guess I've seen more women out there in public kissing so I think I'm more accustomed to it then seeing 2 guy's kiss.

But it's not up to you. Look at Massachusetts, Califorina, and New York, it may take a little longer in places where they get their ...; but it will happen.

Aww man, what happened here?

Okay, first. People are people. Regardless of what we're doing we are all the same. Being homosexual is not a crime, homosexuals are not criminals so IMO clearly they should not be treated as second class citizens. 'GAY' is not contagious, you can't catch it, it doesn't rub off so what's the worry? Further, why does any straight person really care about anyone being gay? I don't understand how gay people can negitively effect straight people.

On the other side of the coin, I think that some of you shouldn't be so angry at the 'clearly ignorant bigots'. Sure this is frustrating, I know first hand what it is like to be discriminated against by your peers. It's not a good feeling and you shouldn't have to be patient. You shouldn't have to explain, but if you get angry and yell and name call where does that get you? Does it make them understand. Patience and kindness will truely change the world. Holding people accountable for their actions and comments will change the world. No, you shouldn't let anyone get away with saying anything nasty, but when you address them why not do it in a way that might further your purpose and not push it back.

Just my take.

Hello lovely Briar Rose , you said that with real class .
It is always better to be nice and say things with class , if you go all mouthy and get ugly , people will think you are an uneducated fool and have poor breeding. Say things with kindness . God is watching you.
I have been reading the post on this thread, I think Rose , Uggerly , Willow and several others sound like classy ladies .

If you want to make a point it would be wise to word it in a way that folks might like to take the time and think about it. But if it's just a mean rant then people will just think your a bitter a-hole.
