Surely I wasn't the only one who saw Kim's perfect exterior begin to crumble today (6/17)? She's always seemed such a classy lady, I never thought about how hard it's been for her to maintain the Hughes "image" all these years. I'll bet she's a secret drinker or something with everything she's had to put up with. Be great to see her in a main line story where she totally falls apart.

I agree that she looked devastated, but I am so glad she did. I am so sick of the PERFECT families in Oakdale...thinking they are better than most people and they do some of the worse things. She came down on Susan last week and I am so glad Susan finally grew a spine and told her to shove it basically...LOL Chris has never been a good perfect Hughes son, he has always been in one scrape or another and they always save his butt, but this time he will be taking their prescious hospital with him, and a high publicity from the newspapers...this may also effect her TV station and her ratings also...When it rains it pours and Chris is the cause...the Bully and Coward will never admit the truth of what he did and why...This is all from a Jealous Rage and Revenge. He and Sophie should have stayed together; they would have had a "WAR OF THE ROSES" type ending...They would have done each other in. LMAO

Ya'll are probably right about substance abuse not being Kim's thing, but she still seems on the edge of cracking. Her whole "You're a Hughes! Start acting like one!" speech was too much -- Maybe the strain of keeping herself "above it" is finally taking it's toll. Maybe it was just superior acting, but the writers should take their cue and run with it.

Kim only acts that way when it comes to her children..and Susan!..That Susan who is she to act like that..? i know allie is her daughter but why now act like a caring mother? She only wishes she can be the mother Kim is..Go Kim!

I love Kim, but i did have a problem when she and Bob were talking in the hospital right before the fight..Bob said maybe he said have suspended Christ and Kim said..'over my dead body'...Now who is she to dictate to Bob how to do his job? HIgh and mighty she is, and she needs to get a clue about her son.

Oddly I have never seen Kim as high and mighty. She is a good, faithful friend, mother and wife. She and Susan have had their share of bumps and who is to say you and I wouldn't feel the same in her shoes? (The affair) The Stewart women do pop up alot in her life. I was happy Susan spoke her mind but Kim is basically like all of us mothers...we want to believe in our children and sometimes we are wrong.

Kim is actually far from perfect, back in the day, she was a bit of a handful herself. Cheating with Bob, involved with Dixon. I think she actually cheated with Bob when he was married to her sister or something close to that.

Kim wouldn't have a substance abuse problem, simply because of Andy's alcoholism and Susan's. She would never go down the same road as Susan.

She does think she is better at everything than most people, but I think the "perfect" thing gets at her too. I would love to see her have a mental breakdown or go into a deep depression. This would be a perfect situation for her to loose it too. Her kid is a schmuck, her nemisis has bested her, I can see her falling apart.
