As the World Turns - MESSAGE BOARDS

Hello all: I have some news. I was just on another board and I saw a post where Colleen Zink Pinter (Barbara) apparently interviewed with someone and indicated that: (1) She isn't going anywhere. (I guess there had been rumors that she was leaving or something). (2) We will be seeing some "classic" ATWT s/l and (3) THEY ARE CHANGING WRITERS. See!!! miracles do happen.

Babs is going to be poisoned I guess from the previews by Sophie, using Cole to steal some lethal drug to use from the hospital; as an attempt to get rid of Meg...Sophie's hands will look clean of course...but I am hoping that now maybe Paul will pay attention and see that she is truly a Psycho and not some sweet misunderstood victim...Sheesh Paul is blind where she is concerned! As a matter of fact all of the men in Oakdale are when it comes to Sophie. I just don't get it. OMG...my blood pressure is steady climbing when I see that blank stare and that smirk of hers...grrrr

Calm down General, calm down. Nice, slow, deep breathing. I know what you mean. I grind my teeth. To remedy my just getting annoyed every, single day - I just fast forward through a lot of stuff. I tell you General, I can watch ATWT in 15-20 minutes, depending who's on that day. But, now that we're changing writers (HALLELUJAH), hopefully we'll see a change. These writers have destroyed virtually every character on the show and brought in others that we don't need nor want. I would like to see more "love in the afternoon." Not "lust" but love, mixed with some drama. I enjoyed the snow storm where the entire town was involved. None of the s/l's interest me, except for Katie and Brad and they've gone and made Brad stupid. I would love to see Barbara and Lucinda on the front burner with good s/l's, but for the time being we're stuck with what we have.

Thanks SandraJ...the breathing treatment helped...along with a Mrs. Fields Oatmeal/Raisin Cookie...LOL. Let's hope for tomorrow that Sophie and Cole will get caught...I think that Cole may sell her out...for a price...LOL

I feel your pain, every good show needs characters that you can root for, but so many of the characters on ATWT these days have no rooting power. I especially hate the story of Holden and Carly having an affair with no regard to how it could effect the people that they love. Yes we need villians, but we also need good guys. The characters that we have grown to love should not suddenly become despicable. It isn't good for the FF fingers or the ratings.

Henry's a good guy. I would love to see Trent Dawson win the supporting actor emmy.

I am loving your post...of course I absolutely agree. None of them are recognizable anymore. The Core families are all idiots and snobs and they act so ugly; the love for them is leaking slowly from the fans. imo.

ITA, but even Henry is becoming unrecognizable...he is not as funny as before. We could always count on comic relief from the drama with Henry. I think since he and Katie no longer hang and get into zany trouble, the writer's have totally missed the mark by not using Henry more.
