Did Carly and Lilly REALLY do something wrong?

ITA Carly WAS suckered into helping Lily. Carly really did not want to do it and fought w/everything in her, telling Lily it was a very bad thing to do. Lily was taking a page from Carly's manipulative ways to get her to do what she wanted. She really tried to get Lily to do it herself but Lily would have none of it and pushed and pushed. I could see Carly's dilemma in that she didn't want to lose her best friend, in fact the only girlfriend Carly has.

I don't think it was that big of a deal. I mean sure he does have the right to be annoyed because it was all plotted. If she wanted to spend time alone with him then why didn't she just ask him for some time alone? Because he would have said no? Well then she shouldn't have done it, but I don't think it's as big of a deal as Jack and Holden are making it.

And further- for once, I don't think either of them have the right to be angry at Carly. Lily was tricking her husband Carly was just watching the kids as a favor to her.

Holden was ready and able to have sex with his wife. He is only upset because he feels it wasn't his idea. Typical man. You always have to let them think it was their idea or they don't like the idea!!

It was a set up. If he wants to be annoyed fine, but how can he take it out on Carly? She didn't do anything to him and it wasn't her idea she was helping Lily. That'd be like Jack getting mad at Lily when she gave Carly the ransom money for JJ.

Carly was just helping her friend by watching the kids.

If Lily wants to trick her husband then that's her business and why should Carly try to talk her out of it?

I don't blame Carly at all, she tried and tried to get out of it. But yes, Lily knew if she told Holden she wanted time alone w/him she knew he would say he wasn't ready. Lily shouldn't have tricked him. While it's not a crime, it was still wrong.

IMO, the worst that happened was he got l@#$, most men would be ok with that. He is most dishonest with himself. He is so self righteous and in denial, what is worse?! He has an attraction to Carly? Here he was on the sly going to go to the dance...chaperon with Carly.

Why is it okay that she set him up like that? I mean if he wanted to sleep with her he could have set the mood on his own. When Jack slept with Carly and then said it wasn't anything everyone wanted to kill him, but Lily manipulates her husband into sleeping with her when she knew he wasn't ready to and it's not a big deal? That seems like a double standard to me.

I am glad that someone else sees where I am coming from here. I just hope that Carly and Holden can keep their friendship because I don't see Lily being good for anything at this point.
