As the World Turns - MESSAGE BOARDS

I have been pondering on a few things about this show lately. There are so many roads this show can take and sometimes it ceases to amaze, but other times it's a big groan fest.

For a long time now I have known that Henry is still very much in love with Katie and to me those two fit very well together. Sure, she and Mike were a nice fit - two beautiful people; but I believe that Mike needed someone--(dare I even utter the words?) like Jennifer. Now some of you know how I felt about Jennifer, but she was down to earth and really loved Mike. I mean, save for the fact that she slept with her ex step-father and all… But hey! He loved her, right? Katie is a conniving, selfish, spoiled little brat. Or at least that's the part of her personality that she conveys most often. I used to like her a lot-- when she was with Henry. The two of them fed off of each other and it just worked so well. I think eventually they are going to have to get back together.

Carly is meant to be with Jack. Sure, they have had a lot of rough times, but hasn't every marriage? You can't tell me that it's all a bed of roses. And if your marriage still is, congratulations… I don't think it will forever stay that way! LOL… I mean, only, that there will be arguments and fights. LOL. Of course in soap there are allegations, crimes, and all kinds of other things, but come on! Carly and Jack can make it through everything. She just needs to open her eyes. She and Simon are a game. She's enjoying the dating and the games, and the rush of excitement he brings to her, but even if he does love her she's a mother, she has a family she is supposed to be taking care of. This is not in her character to not give a thought to her babies. It's just a bad situation.

Lucy!!! Lucy, Lucy, Lucy… Why did you have to lie? Yes, Craig is your father, but you know how scary and damaged you are… Do you want that to fall on Johnny as well? Dusty loves you, but he loves his son more and knowing that Craig is going to do everything in his power to take Johnny away from him is tearing him apart. For goodness sakes--he's going around flashing a gun!! Of course, that's the way Dusty is, shoot first, ask questions later… But he is doing it because he feels everything else has failed. And DUSTY!! What are you thinking? A gun? Really? That's going to solve your problems? I think not! It's just going to get you in a whole lot more!! He is not thinking and it's a receipt for disaster!!

Gwen and Will are the couple of the hour are they not? Will is jealous… Why? Because he's afraid his wife might grow to liking Adam. You mean, she might--gasp--CHEAT on you? What ever would put that in your mind? Oh, I remember, you slept with Jade--multiple times. That could be why you are concerned. You can dish it, but you can't take it, huh? I don't think Gwen would do that to Will, but it would serve him right… Although, I am also a firm believer in "two wrongs don't make a right". Iris is just going to be there for Gwen's money. Sure, I think that she was there to really apologize, but now that there could be loads of money involved… WELL, what "Alcoholic" wouldn't want easy money?

What happened to Maddie and Casey? Are they having the week off???

Meg and Paul to me are filler. I don't know what it is about their relationship, but it just doesn't fit. Maybe when they get married things may change, but as of now, I think their relationship is there to fill in the cracks of the hour…

Please! Give me your opinions on this. I mean this in no way offensive, it's just a little rant I cooked up after reading yesterday's update. I would love to know what all of you think. Do you think I am on the right track or way off? Either way is possible!!

By the way, no bashing on opinions of anyone who posts on here. And don't bash the characters--too badly! They can't help that they are written that way!

This a little much to comment on. I'll just say, I agree, something about Paul and Meg, just are not right. I know they have many fans, but they just do not sizzle.Will and Gwen had a good story, but it seemed to fizzle out for me. They were on and off, too many times. What Simon and Carley has, I do not call love. What Simon is, is trouble, and I do not think he is capable of love. I do not know how Carley was so taken in with him.The only way, I can tolerate Katie, is when Henry is in the picture. I have no pity for Katie. As far as Lucy, Dusty, and Craig goes, I'll just be glad when the story is OVER

You know that's right! I totally forgot about Barbara for a minute and she and Iris, I am sure will butt heads eventually. Barbara may be crazy, but she tries her hardest to protect her own.

Ok, first off, Emily and Henry? I could see it, but he would get hurt, and I don't think he should, because doesn't anyone remember what she did to Paul? She shot him, what if Henry didn't want to "hurt" her, but ended up hurt himself? I'm sorry, but I think Henry needs somoene more like him, not Katie, definitly not Katie. He's to sweet for her! And Katie, she needs to pack up and leave again! When she went to Paris , the show seemed great! With her whiny self back, the show seems to be going downhill and focusing on her!

Jack and Carly still need some time apart, and maybe when she returns from her maternity trip, they will end up back in each other's arms, however, I don't think it will last long. How many times have they broken up? Even though they get back together, how many times can Carly get away with her crimes? Will she turn out like Barbara Ryan? Now there's a woman who can do wrong, and get away with it! Carly's getting better though! Mabye after her and Jack get back together, they will decided to go on vacation for a while. Maybe it will help if she's not around Oakdale for a while.....

Gwen and Adam. Now there's a new couple that should be pursued. I would love to see something between them grow, and I think it would help Will to reallly realize what a idiot he was to sleep with someone else to begin with. Maybe they will break up for a longer time, and this time, not let Jade back into the picture. That would suck if she tried for Will again! I don't like her. I would love for her to get tangled in somethings dealing with her family. Maybe she was lying , and somehow got her blood to match Lilly's. maybe she ain't rose's daugter after all....maybe the real daughter will come to town soon! I can only hope....

Jennifer Munson and Mike Kasnoff were great at first, but when she started going behind his back, trying to get Craig arrested, I disliked her! she made to big a deal out of it, and was in the wrong. If she had just let Craig be apart of his child's life, let me tell you, none of the stuff going on right now, would be going on! It's a fact, cause if he had gotten his rights, Dusty and Jen would be happily married still, Lucy would be out in the cold finding another man, Jennifer might still have died, but Dusty woulnd't be fighting Craig, because Jennifer had allowed it, but since she didn't tough luck! I miss Jennifer, but she should've done the right thing to begin with! I don't care who the father was, she still should've been open-minded. She could've dealt with Craig.

I think that Lucy seeing Dusty shoot her father was a great angle. It gives Lucy a chance to make up for everything and be a witness as to Dusty shooting him in self-denfense, although as far as we know Craig didn't have a weapon but he had already made an attempt on Dusty's life.
When I saw Paul I thought that he would stick arround to see the fireworks. Now, I think that it will come out through Emily that the bullets were susposed to be blanks, and no one will ever know that Paul switched the bullets back. Somehow, I beleive Emily will be made into the fall-guy for this.
I would have liked to see Gwen, Will, Jade and Iris today. I missed some last week and that whole Adam, Casey, Maddy, Elwood sequence made no sense to me.

If they check the gun for finger prints, Pauls fingerprints, will be on the gun. I do not remember him wearing gloves. I cannot remember, if Emily, was wearing gloves, or not. One thing for sure, I do not see Dusty, getting out of this

Who knows!? BUT! This does pretty much spell BIG MESS for Dusty. Any chance he had being Johnny's father went away when he pulled that trigger. Dusty doesn't seem to get lucky with the law...

No good ever comes to anyone who tries to take the law into their own hands.

There was a while when I was not watching any soaps,so I don't remember when Dusty came on to the scene. What kind of person was he? Sometimes he comes across like he is or was some kind of mobster or something. This is not a slam agains the character, but he always seems like he thinks he can take care of any kind of situation. He just comes across a bit scarey at times.

I think Dusty was the bad boy when he first came on the scene.

Jennifer & Mike- I thought they were good together. I was upset when they broke up. Jennifer made some mistakes but she was a good person.

Craig is a bad guy, but at times adds some comic relief. Maybe he can fall in love with someone who will make him change his ways.

Emily- I wish she was her old self again. They have really just turned her character into this manipulative person. She should have stayed with Hal.

Meg & Paul- I like them together. I didn't really like her with Dusty. He didn't ever seem interested.

Jack & Carly- They are sooo good together. But maybe being apart for a little while will make them a better couple when they get back together. But I really liked Julia Larrabee when she was on there. I thought she was good with Jack and when she was with Holden it made Lily & Holden a little bit more interesting.

Gwen & Will- I love those two together. I hope her mother leaves soon or Jade might find a way to squirm back in.

Katie, Mike, Henry, & Simon- I think Katie needs to be alone for a while. Since Mike and Simon are leaving I really think they will bring someone to the show for her. She loved Henry but not in the same way she loves Mike and Simon. I think she just thought she was in love with Henry or she just didn't want to hurt his feelings.

Lucy- I liked her better when the other actress played her.
