I am overweight too. I understand that it is an important issue; however; enough already. I looked at Lilly yesterday. They were showing her from the waist up. I wish that I had her problems. Fat? Where? Being overweight is a daily struggle for people who are truly overweight. Lilly needs to work on her confidence. She is a beautiful woman. Not only that but she just had a baby. Give me a break. Alot of women struggle with their weight just after having a baby. By the way; there are millions of diet pills on the market and most of them are nothing more than a waist of money and they can be very damaging. Alot of children struggle with thier weight also. More and more children are overweight in the United States now, than when I was growing up. It is an issue that needs attention; however, I did not see an ounce of fat on Martha Byrnes! Fatith is a beautiful little girl and someone needs to work with her on her strengths. Someone needs to help build up her self esteem; but noone is doing that. They took her to a counselor/shrink;but that just made things worse. Now she has an even bigger complex. I am bored with this story and I fast forward through these scenes. I have lost interest. I hate stories that are dragged out and this is one of them. The writers have Faith as a sad, depressed, pre-teen. As far as I see it. She has the world by the butt. She will more than likely out grow her awkwardness. One day the ugly duckling will turn into a swan and no Faith is not ugly; I just mean figuratively. She is a beautiful little girl, but someone needs to convince her of that. I would like to see this actress smile more. Alot more. She is too young to be so serious and sad all the time. |

I also agree. I wish Faith was a little older to be purging and using laxatives. She is a sad little girl. I hear myself in Lily alot cause I complain about my weight and I'm only 20 lbs. heavier than I would like to be. But I know if I don't keep my weight down, it will get out of control. My Mom is heavy and has all sort of health problems that could be avoided if she had kept her weight down. My heavier friends always laugh when I make comments about my weight but it still bothers me. |

I hear you on this. I wish Faith was older then the story could be a bit more realistic to see a full blown eating disorder. I know that it can start young, but I think that the story line would be more powerful if Faith was a bit older. |

Lily just needs to WAKE UP already and snap out of it! |

I hear you Luvingone! Lilly is being a fool. And, her behavior is the root of Faith's problem. |

Okay, I don't get what any of you are saying. Obviously this is a nation wide problem correct? Small children worried about their weight and slim women thinking they are overweight when they're not? Thats a problem right, it's outrageous! Well its happening people, this story is realistic and people need to see how stupid they look. ATWT is trying to prove a point and I think it's great. |

And you guys that think that Faith is too young to do this storyline- I want to share a statistic with you that I read yesterday. 40% OF ALL 9 YEAR OLD GIRLS HAVE DIETED. I see where you are coming from Ngrey....I was bulemic for years and it started when I was 9. However, to make the most impact, I think that this storyline could be way more effective if they draw this out into Faiths teen years so it actually shows what happens. |

It is true; that it is a nationwide problem. It is not; however, a "lilly" problem! There is not an ounce of fat on her! Reguarless of Faith's age; she needs help with her self esteem. That is half the battle. She is not fat either! |

Doesn't Lily represent a mother in her early thirties that obsesses that 5 pounds of baby weight? You don't think women that are the same size as Lily obsess about their weight? |

I think the Lily-Weight storyline is pretty silly. Let's look at this rationally for a moment..... How much money does she have? In the real life would she not be handling this with a trainer and a gym????? That's what I would do... She has complained to everyone who would listen that she is concerned about her not losing the after baby/hospital weight. First of all, she would have lost plenty of weight in the hospital. So, this means that in real life/off screen, she is overweight and they want to show her losing weight. Okay, I can buy into that. But -- hiding out and using pills when her money could buy her the correct trainer. She could even afford Bob Greene... LOL |

I hear you quill! I just don't see Lilly in this position. I know this is what the writers are doing, but it doesn't feel like the character. And, I have never been in a coma before, but I would think you would loose weight not gain weight. I know just being in the hospital you loose weight because you are outside your comfort zone. |

Plus, I think it is just too boom! for her to be hooked on pills. You would think she would have talked about her weight years ago if it was a problem. If this is the first time she is having an issue, she would diet and exercise. You don't just go for the pills. You diet and diet and diet before resorting to the pills. Not everyone is as smart and rational as you guys are. Obviously Lily isn't. She's stupid. |

no lily is not stupid, as that is just a char: on the show if you ask me it is the writers on the show that are stupid, to do this kind of a story line .these actors need to speak up and say when they don't like the story line when they are main char; and have been there for ages they should have some pull. don't you agree....????? |
Plot_Twister![]() |
I don't necessarily agree that the actors have any pull. Look at John Dixon just for an example. I think I read somewhere tht Lisa complained about something and she was given even less screen time. I think in soapland no one is really a main character..anyone can be recast and anyone can be in a coma or killed off. |

Sorry- Martha Byrne is great but Lily Snyder is stupid. Different. I wasn't going as deep as the writers and all that I'm talking story. I think it's a good idea. |
