We knew that Lily and Holden were insufferably spoiled brats (I don't care that he grew up on a farm - that was sooo long ago! ); and that Damian is a total slime dog. The whole s/l passed unbearable two months ago.

But NOW we are meant to believe that the three of them can just waltz into court and annul/dissolve/end their assorted marriages in the blink of an eye. Puhleeze!

Something like that might be possible for L & D; but there's no court in this country and no judge this side of malpractice who would allow L & H to end their marriage so precipitously. They have three young children, after all, and any court is going to press them on arrangements for the kids and wouldn't grant a divorce (an annulment would not realistically be an option for this couple under the circumstances) without inquiring about these pesky details. Fortunately, the courts must consider L & H's children, even though their idiot parents don't.

Why are we forced to sit through this? As others have noted, these characters are so played out (blame that on the writers) and the actors who play them are so, well, limited that the situations just get more and more beyond the pale.

Even Brad's ghost haunting Henry looks realistic compared to this. Get it over with, and get us some characters, stories, and actors we can care about!

MommyofMaggie: I loved your post. lol. I have felt the same way at times. The only way I keep myself sane is to remind myself that it's soapland and very little is researched. I believe their knowledge is limited in these areas and common sense even flies out the window.

I could care less how the settlement goes.You never see any of the children except Luke, who is a grown man, and on occasion Faith, anyway. I love Damien and Lily together and started to like Holden and Maeve. Like they say, different stokes for different folks. I found this s/l to be one of the more enjoyable.I wish it would continue.
