Katie seems to have no interest in the baby. I hope the sl isn't really going to go that way.

I didn't see it that way! Katie loves her baby, more than anything, except maybe his Dad!! And, I think her tears were real. Even if they were not, she has a right to mourn her husband's death, in her way.Her acting is great!! For heaven's sake,she has been through a humongous trauma, giving birth alone, and being held prisoner, not knowing if she and her child would survive, and then her husband is shot!!!! Give her a break!

Wasn't picking on Katie. Give me a break! I was just stating what I observed. She did not want to stay in the hospital with the baby. She did not want to go see the baby w/ Craig and Roseanna. When she saw Brad looking at the baby she didn't even go near it. She also blew right passed the baby shower stuff and slammed the door on it. All typical Soap Opera signs of trouble ahead.

I think the shower part was because she walked in the door and saw what Brad had done and she fell apart.
I know what you mean about her attitude towards the baby though. I am hoping that they are not going to give her postpartum depression and rejection of the baby. I hope she is just so deep in grief she is not thinking as she normally would.
And geez.....don't let Janet get her hands on that baby if Katie goes through postpartum depression!

I noticed it too. I am hoping it is just because of her grief. I really do not want to see another PPD story line right now.

I do see were you get that idea from. I even thought, "Why isn't she with her child." But, put yourself in her shoes. Her baby boy must stay in the nicu for days. Her husband died in the same hospital. Here are her options, she can either stay in the hospital, in bed for days and grieve even more. Or, she can go home, grieve naturally, and come see her baby anytime.

It's just that she doesn't go see the baby. She keeps saying she will but finds an excuse not to. She told Margo she would then she started watching Kim's show. Then she left, not to see the baby but to go to the show's taping. Then she told Kim she was going to the hospital to hold her baby but instead she went back to the apartment. They seem to be leading the sl in a particular direction.

I think she doesn't know what to do. Before Brad died he begged her to go get the baby to see him. She never did. Maybe she feels guilty for that or when she looks into his eyes she'll see Brad (which for me would make me feel better) I am not a Katie fan but I am defending her on this part. Now alot of us go through the baby blues..so not only she has to deal with loosing brad but she has to deal with the hormones. She will go see the baby...She wil! She knows the baby can't come home right now.I couldn't imagine having to go through that. Katie had herself a goodlooking man. Its just ashame how they teased us all with this.Couldn't they let one couple survive? Guess not!

I'm not a big Katie fan, but in her defense I would say that right now she's in "shock". I don't think she knows what she's really doing. Her baby needs to stay in icu for a while so maybe she just needs some time to grieve over Brad alone.

OK I totally understad why Katie is acting the way she is on her new son and loss of her husband.... This is NORMAL!!!! I know that I have cried so so many times during this last week, I felt the same way when I had my son and a little over a week later my husband was in an acident. my son looked like his daddy and I did not want to look, touch, hear or anything with him. I wanted the nightmear to go away. It was more than a month before I would keep my son at home with me, thank God for sisters!! I UNDERSTAND THIS STORY LINE!!!! It is so hard on a person....
