As the World Turns - MESSAGE BOARDS

Hi everyone,

This is pure conjecture on my part. No spoilers here but it seems like a CarJack reunion is in the works. I don't know if Jack fired the fatal shots into his brother or not but even if he didn't, I think he'll be blaming himself for a long time to come. Between being slightly inebriated and possibly having his judgment impaired coupled with the darkness of the room and the horrible timing of finding out his brother needed him, Jack will be harder on himself than anyone else could ever be. If he hadn't been in Chicago with Janet...if their spat hadn't sent him to the bar where he knocked back several...if he'd found out about the kidnapping sooner...if he hadn't gone in without backup...the list goes on and on. But what I believe could put the final nail in the coffin of "Jacanet" is "Uncle Ralphie" being the one who set all this mayhem in motion. I don't know who fired the fatal shot(s) but I do know that it's Janet's "uncle" that will ultimately cost him his brother and that will prove to be an insurmountable obstacle for their marriage. In all fairness to Janet, it's not really her fault. She didn't know what a monster Ralph was but she's about to find out and the anger and resentment probably won't just come from Jack but Liberty will more than likely lash out at her due to her father's murder. Where will that leave Janet? Well, I've always seen "something" when Craig and "Mrs. Snyder" trade quips...who knows? I see Jack turning away from Janet and toward a newly-improved-and-sober Carly whose sympathetic ear and shoulder will be available like so many times before. I also think that his concern over the fallout from the reveal of "Crosanna" to Carly and his trip to rehab to consult with her doctor(s) is all foreshadowing. I think Jack might be headed toward a downward spiral and this time it will be Carly who has to be his "true north" and give him some much-neede direction. JMHO. Guess we'll see.

You should be writing for the show! I love this storyline. I never wanted Jack to marry Janet and I keep waiting for him to take off every time Janet tells him off but she always apologizes and they are all lovey dovey again. I think the fact that Uncle Ralph killed caused Liberty's father murder should be enough for Jack to leave her for good and get back together with Carly. As you say, she will be new and improved and sober.

For years I was a Jack & Carly fan but ever since she ran off with Simon & then when she came back faked her dying, I just can't seem to forgive Carly. I can't stand all the things she put her kids through, and now the drinking and running off to Chicago for buying trips with Craig, and leaving her kids over & over. I guess my motherly instinct is too strong & unforgiving.

I agree that CARJACK is in the making as well - I read that when Carly gets out of rehab that Carly and Jack reconnect. In the beginning I loved the thought of Jack and Janet and while I love them both still - the writers have not shown these two very romatically - there is no great sl between the two of them - they usually have individual sl. I think some of the problems with Liberty and the baby and all the bickering is a door opening. That being said I don't want CARJACK to happen either - we need new sl. JMO - sorry don't want to upset all of the CARJACK supporters!

No more Carly and Jack! At least for a long while. They have been worn thin with the same repetitive story for years. Janet may drive me up a wall sometimes but she is crazy about Jack and he loves her. Let them be for now.
