I'm sorry Tammer, but sometimes I feel like I'm gonna blow a gasket when people start talking about taking away freedom. I don't care if it's health care, abortion, student loans or any other choice, it's my choice and I want to make it. I don't want someone telling me I can't have an abortion, I can't choose what doctor I go to , or who I borrow money from to go to college. I'm all about freedom, abortion is not right for me, but it maybe a last resort for someone else and I would never take away that option. If I had one child or ten, I would always want my child, however others may not feel the same. |

so are only certain people deserving of this freedom you talk about? I do agree I would never tell someone else what to do with their body(unless they ask my opinion). My older sister actually had 2 abortions for stupid reasons and then when she was ready to have a baby she had a misscarriage @ 5 months(She had a tear in her uterus.) I was in the hallway when my niece was stillborn(I can still hear my sisters screams, I was 16.) I almost lost my first born @ 3 weeks pregnent and I still remember he was barely a blip on the screen and while finding out he was in there turned my life upside down, at that moment I was filled with so much love, i didn't know it was possible. Also just this past week a good friend of mine found out she was pregnent and the next day she started bleeding and lost it she was only 8 weeks and had only known for about a day, but yet she greaved for her loss. Another friend of mine was due @ the end of this month and was rushed into the hospital this week and we still don't know if he's gonna make it. So sorry this subject really hits home for me, especially since to me they were all human beings taken to soon but to some they were nothing! As a mother, It makes me sad. This is my opinion and if no one else agrees so be it. I stand up for what I believe in! and I respectfully agree to disagree! |

I am sorry you are having so much pain, I know it is hard to see loved ones go thru this, we feel so helpless. I do not mean this in a mean way or to make trouble, but what do they do with a baby when a woman miscarries at 8 weeks? Stillborn I am familiar with but have not known anyone to lose a baby at 8 or so weeks. I know that this is a touchy subject and each person sees it in a different way, but losing a baby at any time is very hard to accept, no matter what our beliefs are. I think that it is certainly a woman's choice and no one should judge her for the decisions she makes. I hope that your friend that is in the hospital has a healthy baby and she does well. I feel we have wandered off the subject of this thread, and on that note, I truly think that Janet is not the person to be telling Liberty what to do, she needs to for once in her life.....LISTEN!! |

She just had to wait for it to pass(like you would with a period)(she lost a baby 2 years ago to sids. Like I said Im having a bad week but this hits home for me and I don't understang the attitude of others no matter how hard I try. I just don't. I do agree I don't judge people even my sister, She knows I don't agree with her choices(then again now neither does she) but she's my sister and I love her in spite of herself. |

How can forcing someone to have a child be any less of a crime than forcing someone to eat certain food, or live in a certain area. When you try to force someone against their will to do something you might as well be kidnapping that person because your taking away that persons freedom. I completely understand what you are saying, and agree 100%. As parents we may not always agree with our kids, but we ALWAYS has to give them the freedom to make educated choices and support them unconditionally. |

I don't think anyone is saying you can't have an opinion. I think the opinions on this subject clash. While I don't agree with abortion as a form of birth control, I do feel it is up to the individul to decide what is best for them. I can't make that decision, you can't make that decision for them either. Nothing wrong with having strong beliefs or opinions, but when someone is told they have to do something and they aren't given a choice then that is crossing the line. |

For that reason, I agree with the thread title! |
