If abortion is Liberty's choice, she should get in touch with Daisy (GL Springfield). Daisy got an abortion so fast...; went back to school and was voted Class President.

In all seriousness, I would hate to be in Liberty's situation or have a child in Liberty's situation; Furthermore, I do think Craig should have at least confided in Rosanna about what's going on instead of lying over and over again. I realize Rosanna is a little over the top lately, but I think she could offer Liberty some good advice... ATWT is treating Liberty "like mother, like daughter"...

I can not imagine what it is to be a parent and be faced with teen pregnancy. Though I do not have children( of my own choice) I would love to be a mother one day. I say all this to say that my own insecurities and issues should not influence another woman's rights, when the matter is her right to make a decision on her own body, no matter how young. The want and lack of children in someone's life should not be the concern of any pregnant woman. And when it comes to her decision to make a difficult and personal decision about her quality life and consequently a baby's immediate circumstance, well, then aid is needed and not a value judgement.

Back to Liberty and ATWT.

I think all they will do in this story line is to make it the typical pregnancy story line of to keep the baby or not keep the baby. My hope is that the soap will deal with Janet's deeper experience as a mother as she helps and guides Liberty. If liberty decides to keep the baby, I hope the issues of teen pregnancy both the consequences and rewards of pregnancy will be covered.

I make no value judgement with any decision the character makes, all I am looking for is substance. Maybe they will make that loser guy who got her pregnant part of the story line.

As long as she is not like Meg, when and if the baby arrives on the scene then she will be ahead of the curve. Does Meg even remember what her kid looks like?

Indeed Liberty is 17 years old and can make her own decision.
But, has anyone in this situation ever spoke with someone that did have an abortion? Maybe she should. After all, most that do have an experience like this and choose that option are often sorry that it is one that they took. It is something that haunts them every day of their life for as long as they live. It may be the easy thing to do, but easy isn't always right. And yes, it is her own body...but, often a decision made when you are young can have dire consequences when you are older.

I wanted to strangle Teri for telling Janet where Liberty was, she had no right to betray Liberty's wishes or confidence. There was nothing Janet could do to Teri or Craig, she should have stood her ground and told her if Liberty wanted her to know she would have told her.
Janet is being a big bully trying to force Liberty to have this baby, I knew when Liberty left without having the abortion it was over, she will never have it now because Janet will guilt her into keeping the baby.
If you want the baby so much Janet then let Liberty take it out of her body and you can put it in yours.

WOW, you don't have kids. I would have beat the ever loving crap out of Terri and Craig. If that was my daughter I would have done the same thing. Liberty made her choice feeling ashamed and scared of disappointing her mom. Janet did right by making her wait. She needs too calm down and think. A baby is NOT the end of the world.

Abortion, for most women, is never an "easy" thing to do.

Since it was okay for you to address me I'm assuming it's okay for me to reply.
First of all you don't know me, you don't know how old I am or how many children I have. I do have one thing that some people don't have and that is a sense of one's own control over the decisions concerning their body. No one should be forced to carry something inside their body that might kill them. Freedom of choice, I believe in a woman's right to choose.

Fair is fair.
Who said it was life threatening for Liberty to carry a child. That is something totally different then what she is doing. She is aborting to keep her mom from being disappointed. Liberty is NOT a women. She is still a child who lives with her mother. Her mother has every right to talk to her and help her with this. She can always give the baby up for adoption.

So she should sacrifice 9 months of her life and yes every pregnancy has it's risk. Plenty of people have died from giving birth, although it isn't a common thing it still does happen on occasions. Liberty shouldn't have to have this baby just to satisfy her mother, it's her body if she doesn't want to carry the baby it's her decision. If Janet wants the baby so bad she can have it after Liberty has it removed from her body. Liberty is only a few months away from being 18, but that's beside the point, if she was 15 it's still her body and no one can force her to carry a time bomb for 9 months.

I'm for abortion if the person is at high risk of dying when giving birth, the person was raped, or if the baby is not going to live.

Now liberty does not qualify for any of that she went to the doctor and was healthy. Liberty got pregnant because she was having causual unprotected sex this is not about her mother it's about not KILLING a growing baby just because it's an inconvience at the time because of her own stupidity.

Maybe your hoping liberty will get an abortion and Parker will want to be with her NOPE not a chance they are not gettting back together so give it up.

I was 16 when I had my first. It was not a sacrifice. She laid down NOW deal with the consequences. Welcome to LIFE!!

ITa on everything you said. I think it's Libs body and her mom has no right to tell her what to do. She's of age to know how she wants to handle things. I can't believe she didn't have that guy wear a rubber bc I remember a while back when she was w/Parker they used protection.

Thanks Val,
I think it was a combination of vodka and her being upset at Parker when she saw him hugging a girl(she didn't realize it was Faith). People often make bad decisions when they act on emotion and in haste. I hope she can get past the guilt trip Janet is going to throw on her and have the abortion so she can get on with her life.

Totally not going to go there with my view or opinion on abortion. Everyone is definitely entitled to theirs, no matter what it is.

BUT TO GET EVERYONE THINKING OF SOMETHING ELSE PERHAPS..

I read several posts about Liberty talking to Brad or Katie or getting one of them to take her to the abortion clinic.?? He is her dad and will love her no matter what and so will Katie.. But does anyone remember how hard it was for them to conceive a child? From the shots to Vienna lying to them.. I'm sure they will be devastated hearing about this. It IS Liberty's choice totally. I agree she has rights, and does need to take responsibility also.. I just can understand why she wouldn't go to them. It would break their hearts. Lol and can you imagine trying to get through to Janet or Jack??
