As the World Turns - MESSAGE BOARDS

Does anyone else miss this character? I loved the way he interacted w/Lucinda, Kim, Barbara, Lisa and Susan. The character of John Dixon brought so much to this show. The show brings on so many new character's and I cannot understand why they do not have some of character's that viewer's love? Iva, Shannon, Brian McCall, Karen, Frannie these are just a few but I am sure long time fans can remember others.

I too miss John Dixon. There were times when he made me very angry (exp. w/Lisa and Kim) and there were times when he was very good (esp. to Duke and young Dusty)... He could wreak havoc when he wanted with Bob and others... Nevertheless, he was a good doctor and I miss his character.

I miss Dr. John Dixon also, He brought alot of action to Oakdale, I miss seeing Lisa (Eileen Fulton) Nancy Hughes. Please show these actresses more often.

You bet I remember Johnny boy as Lisa always called him. He could sure stir up some trouble in Oakdale.

Talk about uping the ratings - bringing back big bad John Dixon would sure do the trick.

He was a great character played by a great actor who has gone on to do some great movie roles. Hope I spell this right - the actor is Larry Bergman.

They need to bring him and a few others back to save this show from negative ratings and occassionally posts.

YES, Johnny Boy was one of the best characters on ATWT. Never a dull moment with him around. Whether he was being bad or good I just loved him. I never got to see how he exited Oakdale, but I sure would like to see him come back, it would surely impove the show in my opinion.

I have missed John Dixon, too. It's time for him to return, especially now that Bob is ill, and take over the reins as Chief of Staff. Sparks would certainly fly, as they always did, between him and Susan. Hmm...John and Susan - sounds like a good match to me. He did have a thing for her when he first appeared in Oakdale. Yep, I think ATWT needs to make Larry Bryggman an offer he can't refuse!

I agree with all above - bring back John Dixon - he would help the ratings and add some excitement again to this show. It needs the boost. John was always a favorite character of mine.

If I get this right John Dixon left the show after Bab's and John's baby died I want to guess that was years ago.Yes I agree John would make a goood asset to the hospital but don't forget Chris Hughes they bring him back more times then not.For old charecters what ever happened to Andy and I think Denese the colored lady and the fight over a baby.Also lesli kays old character and her doughter even thowe she is on B&B but has not been a character on air for a long time just like thorne.Thanks for reading.

John Dixon was played by Larry Bryggman for 35 years. He
quit the show when they asked him to take a big cut in pay.

He's been doing some off broadway theater that he has always loved.

From what I hear and read, ATWT, will leave TV the
last of this year... so I doubt John Dixon's character will
be brought back.

They didn't even write him a "leaving" story line...which I thought was horrible since he had played the role for so long.

Bring back John Dixon!!!!
