They are supposed brother and sister. However Hunter shows such jealousy with Casey and Ali.

I caught onto that too!

Hunter obviously had feelings for Allison before finding out, and I guess his jealousy is transforming into brotherly overprotection.

I find their whole s/l quite disturbing, lol, but it's interesting to see how they're adjusting to being family. But still a bit too dysfunctional for me.

You're absolutely right; "disturbing" perfectly describes their s/l. Bold and the Beautiful is classic for creating icky, incestuous romances. The Hunter character needs to tone down the jealousy--or we need to know fully that he is mentally unhinged and wants Ally despite their familial relationship. He can be a very dark character and we can see something interesting there. Either way, PLEASE don't let this show delve into incest. It's in very bad taste and completely gross.

No more dysfunctional, disturbing or gross than some of the other storylines on the show. I'd like to see them do something that would stir up as much controversy as some of the other storylines on the show have.
I'm wondering why it isn't disturbing or gross when Holden tries to protect Meg from the men who try to hook up with her? Is Holden jealous of the other men? I don't think so, I think he is looking out for his sister and that is probably the case with Hunter and he needs to protect her from a loser like Casey.

The reason I think people find it different and disturbing is because Hunter had feelings for Ali before finding out they were related, and I think a part of her had feelings for him too. Now that they know they're brother and sister, it's a bit strange to see Hunter be so seemingly jealous of Allison's interest in Hunter.

They are definitely different from Holden and Meg, IMO.

As I said maybe he's transferred his jealousy to brotherly protection, but it hasn't been made clear yet.

As for the other "dysfunctional, disturbing and gross" s/l's I have a feeling I know which one your referring to and I think there is a difference, but that's just a matter of opinion from person to person.

ITA about Hunter and Ali. In time, his attraction to her will fade and he will be satisfied to just be her brother. The creepy part is that there seemed to be chemistry there and now any of those feelings have to be put aside.

Why do they have to be put aside?
I know Allison is back together with Casey, but when that relationship fails, again then maybe Allison and Hunter connect if it makes them happy who are we to judge them.

I see the point you're trying to make NoNuke, but for no other reason than an astounding majority of people thinking incest is unacceptable, such relationships can result in babies with numerous types of deformities, so in the interest of science and the human species, incest is a detriment (in the same way smoking/drinking is detrimental during pregnancy).

Who says they have to have their own kids?
Can't they adopt? Not all couples have the option to have their own children, like Susan and Larry when they were married, at one point it was thought Katie couldn't have a child and they were going to adopt. Is incest any worst than sodomy? I just don't see why people are suppose to accept one force that goes against nature, but not another. At some point you have to draw a line and say okay it's no one's place to judge who a person is by who they love or it is okay to judge a person based on who they love.

Not all pregnancies are planned. In fact a good amount of them are unplanned. You shouldn't take that chance by allowing incest to occur.

And actually both incest and homosexuality occur in nature, so I never thought the whole "it goes against nature" thing is very valid. Humans naturally grow hair. Does that make it wrong to shave because that's not how it occurs in nature?

Humans are not a typical species anyway, so I don't think it makes sense to compare us to animals.
