I think this is verbal abuse

I am starting to get annoyed with how the men talk to the women on the show. I know it's just a "show" but come on. Why do these women excuse this kind of behavior. Just because a man doesn't physicaly hurt them they seem to think it's fine. The latest example was the horrible way that Casey was talking to Alison. I think at times it could be considered verbal abuse.

I've always said Casey is toxic and one of the biggest Jerks on the show. Who was it that said he was a punk? I think it was Valinator, I'm not sure. I do think he has a major chip on his shoulder that someone needs to knock off along with that lump sitting on his shoulders.
It's not just the men though, it's also the women, look at the way Carly treats her kids, I felt so bad for Sage today. She is such a sweet little girl and loves her parents so much and then to watch Carly speak to her like that was just heart breaking.

I did say Casey is a punk and I did feel sorry for Sage today. I think Sage knows that Carly is going through a lot right now and she knows that her mom is not being herself and that's why she was able to forgive her. Carly is only human.

Yes we are all human, but being human doesn't give you the right to talk to a child like that. If that had been Jack people would be calling him a self righteous jerk, they wouldn't be playing the 'human card'.

While it was mean what Casey said to Allison. She has teasing skanky ways. My goodness! She went further with Hunter in a day than she had with Casey in a year. As for Carly and bratty Sage. Yes she was wrong but like I said in another topic, she has a problem and until she acknowledges it, things will only get worse.

Your right it really doesn't matter what you say. People are going to like and defend who they like. Just like you defend Jack even when he is wrong!

Did Carly wig out yep but darn Maura does a great job with the crappy writing they seem to love to give her.

Excuse me, but I think the main topic that Cane was trying to say, was the way the men in Oakdale talk to their women, and these women sit by and make excuses for them. So Cane, even though your topic was taken out in the wrong direction, I absolutley agree with you. Alison is not my favorite person, but the way Casey talked to her in Al's Diner was so uncalled for. The way the show is portraying some of these men, I think it's sending out a wrong message. I am glad you wrote this Cane, because it was something that has been on my mind as well.

I think it would be more controversial and bring more attention to the show if they stayed brother and sister and continued to date, like some of the other unusual couple pairings they have done.

I remember when "sweet little Sage" locked Janet in the closet and also accused her of child abuse. There sure a lot of posters on here not saying so sweet things about her then. Carly, Jack and Janet forgave her.

Both Carly and Jack were single at the time and there was a chance in Sage's mind that they could still get back together, but now that Jack is married to Janet Sage know's that isn't the case this time. She does know what a really bad person Craig is and I think that is why she is against the wedding. You can't compare Janet and Craig, it's like comparing a rattlesnake and a bunny.
