Meg has gone over the edge- both in giving more time to Paul and breaking up with Dusty.

I totally agree with the subject line. However, I think the smartest thing Meg has done lately is break up with Dusty. Eliza is not his child and what Meg does or doesn't do regarding Paul is none of his business. She is a grown woman and a mother and she should be making the decisions regarding her child and not be reprimanded on everything she does.

ITA. Dusty displays too much anger around Meg and shouldn't be around Eliza. Paul is Eliza's father, insame or not. At least the visits will be supervised....

I disagree totally. I think Meg is right to allow supervised visits with Paul and Eliza. The child should know her father as long as he doesn't submit her to mental or physical harm and that should not be a problem if the visits are supervised. As far as Dusty is concerned, Meg was absolutely right in dumping him. She gave him a chance to back up off of her decision and he just would'nt let up. She does not need him around her and her child creating more anger and
hostility, that will not make them happy together, and it certainly can't be good for the child. (Make me hate my father, make me hate part of myself)

I totally agree with you. This is Meg and Paul's child, not Dusty's. Meg was right to call Dusty on his hatred for Paul and for dumping him. He has done nothing but try and manipulate her where Eliza and Paul are concerned and that is not right. Paul does have a right to see his daughter and if Meg agrees to whatever custody arrangement that is between her and Paul not Dusty. She gave Dusty more than one chance to stop butting in and each time he refused to listen to her. Damian was right she doesn't deserve to be treated like a child. Dusty has done only that from day one.

Paul is Eliza's father and deserves a right to see her and she a right to know her father. She is still a baby, Paul has many years to straighten out his life so Eliza will see a happy, stable father. When Eliza is an adult she can decide if she wants to continue to know her father as by then she will know what kind of a person he is. No one should mess with the father/daughter relationship in the meantime. Meg did the right thing.
