Is Riley Morgan really Adam Monson? A lot of similarities right off the bat.

Hmmm .. I never thought of that but that would be interesting. Margo was an idiot for letting a stranger stay in her house. I guess that's why Oakdale PD never solves any cases cuz they don't use their heads !!

Well the wardrobe department blew it again. The uniform the soldier was wearing was a corporal not a sergeant. A Private E2 has one chevron, a corporal has 2 chevrons and a sergeant has 3 chevrons. You would think they would have took enough time to check that kind of stuff out.

Oh yeah one more quick observation, if Noah was raised up on an Army bases and had a Colonel for a father wouldn't he know that guy was a corporal not a sergeant?

The similarities are a little eerie. Don't know how they'd pull it off that he is Adam though, unless he's had some major surgery that his own mother wouldn't recognize him. I think that maybe Adam wants to come home and set all this up with Riley coming to put in a good word for him to see if his parents would be willing to take him back. Now that would be an interesting plot twist.

I think it was just a costume mistake like you said. I always think it's funny the kind of mistakes production makes that could have easily been avoided by a little bit of research.

But I'm also wondering what the what is with Riley. I think the Riley is Adam is idea would be interesting, but not entirely likely.

I don't think Riley is Adam but I don't think Adam is dead. I don't think Riley is in the service. Whatever is going on I think Adam and Riley are in on it together. With Margo being the head of detectives and Tom being a former D.A. why aren't they checking out to see if Adam is really dead and if Riley is who he said he is. It's not the first time someone has play Margo and Tom.

I thought noah would have caught it but I guess he didn't take time to learn the ranks and insignia of the soldiers on the base where he and his dad were living.

The strips is completely minor detail because I didn't notice until it was pointed out to me and I'm an Army brat. The thing that mattered most to me is that they have done some research because they use the names of real military bases when they could have easily made it up. Military ranks can get very confusing and it doesn't matter if you do your research or not because theres several different ranks of Sergeant's with 2 being an E-8 and 3 being an E-9. Also almost all military brats know the ranks but again their confusing and there's another branch of the military that has a similar uniform to the Army's. So I'm sure that if Noah had noticed the missing strip then he would have but it was just probably a mix up in the wardrobe department.

I'm not sure what your talking about unless your your talking about the rockers under the chevrons. An E-5 Sergeant has 3 chevrons, an E-6 has 3 chevrons and a rocker underneath, an E-7 has 3 chevrons and 2 rockers, an E-8 and E-9 both have 3 chevrons and 3 rockers. A corporal has just 2 chevrons which is what Riley had on his uniform.
It may seem like a minor detail until it comes time to start handing out awards and they don't win because they didn't pay enough attention to detail.

What I'm talking about is that there is 1 E-5, 1 E-6, 1 E-7, 2 E-8'S and 3 E-9's. My dad's a retired E-8. I think that the show did the strips on purpose since it appears that Riley is really Adam and for all we know Riley was really a Corporal but Adam wouldn't know that. Like I said its a very minor detail and its not the first time that someone has pretended to be a soldier when they weren't.

I had the same thoughts. I don't think Adam is dead at all. What is the purpose of killing off a character that is never even talked about?
