If anything should EVER happen to one of her kids Carly would totally loose it and Sanctimonious Jack would blame anybody but himself. Jack has been mentally tormenting Carly for a very long time now and I really loved Craig today being a 'true friend' to her and protecting her from another Jack sermon about every stupid, idiotic decsion Parker makes is her fault and not Parker's for making it. Giving Parker permission is the craziest thing Jack could have done...just to make himself the good guy and Carly the bad guy because she wants her son back in school pronto. I feel that Parker SHOULD BE SENT to BOOT CAMP because he has been out of control for years now and and he is getting worse and he just doesn't listen to his parents unless they do what he wants and as soon as they don't he pulls another stunt. Parker needs space alright...the space and discipline and time to think that being away from home can bring him. He needs to learn to appreciate what a good life he has compared to some of the kids that he will meet outside of his cushy, spoiled OAKDALE upper-middle class life...JJ sure got out of dodge fast enough...he couldn't take the drama anymore and who could blame him? I just hope that TPTB can redeem this character because he used to be a favorite and now he is just an out of control, spoiled, narcissistic, social-pathic, brat...who will either get himself hurt badly or Liberty out of anger and pain. AND personally I think he needs the figurative kick in the azz to get himself back to acting like a normal teen doing normal teen things. Parker talks to his parents like they are the dirt under his very expensive sneakers...Parker has stolen from his mother, broken into her bar with friends to party, refused to attend therapy even though he has needed it for years, deliberately obtained and used a gun and shot a guy, (though, that was to save Carly), He has broken into a shipment on the dock and stolen liguor, he has lied to a judge about Carly and Jack just to get his way and get married to get his money; and he has broken into Emma's farm house and trashed her kitchen. Now he wants to punish everybody by making them feel guilty because he has made ANOTHER bad decision and dropped out of school just out of spite. And I just know I may be forgetting somethings... I think at this point there is no shame for a parent to reach out for outside help before it is too late to save their son. TIJMHO

From various threads, I think a lot of posters agree that Parker needs help. You are not the only one...

General, ITA. If they do something with Parker, he may try to hurt them. Parker's aggressiveness towards his parents grows more and more. I'm thinking one day he may shove or hit one of them. The boy really is out of control and I wish the writers should stop making s/l around that type of attitude. I agree with a poster who suggests that perhaps the writers experience this type of behavior in their homes and perhaps they're writing on personal experience. I can barely stand to watch these episodes. If I were to talk to my mother like that, OMgoodness, I don't think I would be sitting here replying to his thread. I think the problem is that he has TOO much.

ITA...lol...or you can call it the As the Snyder Judges Show...I am so sick of those judgemental idiots and they seem to be the only family in Oakdale now that is shown. Once in every other 2-3 weeks they may show ONE of the other regulars. Margo and Jack hardly ever are in the station at the same time. AND that is really unbelievable that Jack would be in Craigs face and Margo would be missing in action. Or with the Katie baby mama drama. I am getting fed up also...when Meg is putting on her POOR ME act while trying to deliberately drive Paul Crazy...Now THAT is sick. Summer is coming so we are going to get flooded with teen antz s/l's...YUK!

I agree, Parker does need boot camp! That's where he should be going, not be allowed to make all these stupid bad choices!!
As for Jack blaming Carly...what else is new?
Parker was old enough to get married, he is old enough to take onus of his mistakes!!
I seriously hope they do kill him off.

If I wanted to hear about "teen" issues everyday, I would have a teenager!

I don't know what show everyone else is watching but it isn't ATWT if the perception is that the show revolves around Parker because it certainly doesn't. We're lucky to get to see Parker once a week but you'll always get at least 3 days of Luke and Noah. If anyone needs to be killed off to make room for the other storylines it's Luke. They should have killed him off a long time ago if they wanted to eliminate a bad storyline.
My son didn't make his bed I think I'm going to look into sending him to a boot camp. My daughter got a D in trig so I guess I'm going to need to look into sending her off to boot camp. Yep no need in me putting forth any effort to raise the children when I can just send them away and let trained professionals beat some sense into them.

Your not the only one. Parker does need help, a lot of help. Boot camp would be a good idea or even a short stent in reform school would teach him a lesson or two. I just hope Carly doesn't pay the price for his out of control behaivor. I know Maura is getting ready to leave for maternity leave but I hope they don't write Carly into a horrible position with her kids again. Everytime Maura turns around there is a new twist from the writers and Maura is superb but I hate seeing Carly take the blame for all of Parker's mistakes. Parker is a rebelling teen and needs someone to use a firm hand, not in violence but in discipline. Will be hard to do but they need to do something and fast before he seriously hurts himself or someone else.

Nobody said anything about BEATING...Boot Camp is there to teach self discipline and control; and to help the teen to work out problems that maybe too much for them to handle. At the rate Parker is going he may end up in jail or Juvey...which is better????
And as far as raising him...what show are you watching? He doesn't LISTEN or OBEY or RESPECT his parents because they are not giving him his way. HE is becoming more and more resistant to authority. He is really LUCKY that he trashed Emma's kitchen and not someone else's who would have pressed charges. He robbed Henry and Vienna and they were generous to him and forgave him. He needs the kind of help his parents are not able to give him right now. Anything they try he RUNS AWAY or worse. So, I am so glad that you as a parent that knows all the answers, but if you watch any of the family court shows or talk shows that deal with this type of thing; maybe then you would see that IT AIN'T no SHAME in asking for help to save one's child when they are in need of the help that is too much for you as a parent to handle. A parent that loves their child will do ANY and EVERYTHING possible to insure that child ends up with a solid future. After that child is an adult, there is nothing they can do. Parker is only 16 and he thinks he knows everything and he hasn't even learned how to take no for an answer without blowing up and doing something destructive. As I mentioned before TIJMHO.

ITA...as angry as he gets now and violent...he is heading for trouble...I expect to see him take a swing at someone sooner or later or put his hands on Carly in anger when she says something he doesn't like. He really needs help...and so do we...RELIEF from this S/L.

I wasn,t going to write anything BUT I agree with you . I have raised 4 kids & helped raise 16 grandchildren. He needs someone to stand up to him my lord He is 16 years old. My mothers dead Bless her soul but if when she was alive and anyone talked to her like Parker talks to Carly, I would get it from Her, then my Father if he was still living too! Then my brothers & sisters. The reason Parker talks to carly like that is because the great & mighty who NEVER EVER does anything wrong, JACK. Talks to Carly Like she is something bad on the bottom of his shoe!!!!!!!!!! He talks to his mother just like JACK!!!! that is where he got it from. I wasn't very happy wwith my ex BUT the KIDS repected him in front of me!!! Jack did this to Parker!!! Remmber Carly was gone. & Jack talked dirt then. She drinks because she still loves jack for some reason only the writters know!!! And he has put her down so much till see believes everything he has called her. You treat a dog like that and they become afraid!!! Him the big bad cop almost running into the station & slamming the door. My Daugther dated a cop that acts just like the cop Jack!!! & what is so sad I use to love him and want them back together!!!

THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU! And the way Jack talks and looks down on Carly has been going on for years! Jack never calls Parker on his treatment of his Mother. When Jack does something to trigger a bad reaction to Parker, he blames Carly, never himself. This is another form of control and mental abuse...and the drinking is a cry for help on her part; because she is drowning...figuratively and literally. She clings to Craig unconsciously because he is the ONLY PERSON that will stand between the Almighty Self-appointed God of Self Righteous Judgement, that is known as Jack The Cop! I can't stand him anymore. There is not one day that he is not in her face putting her down...she is his own personal mental punching bag that enables him to continue to believe he is right in every situation. That see all, know all, Self-righteous Snyder persona, that flows in all of the Snyders except Brad. Which is why Brad is the black sheep. I love that Carly has Craig to help her and one of the best signs today was Craig admitting that it was a really bad decision to start the alcohol business with her; knowing her background everything she went through with her Father...which is why Carly would never drink more that a glass of wine or a bottle of beer. She wasn't even interested until those vodka tastings started to blur the pain she is always in...Jack keeps bringing up Simon and Holden...and any other mistakes she may have made in the past to keep her down on herself and him looking down on her. Maybe he forgot the names of his mistakes...who not only grabbed Parker, tried to frame him for a crime, tried to kill Carly more than once and RAPED him for his seed. He has a few bad decisions in his perfect life also. He is blinded by his jealousy of Craig; and he didn't have to lock Carly up but he should have talked to her and not screamed at her. IMO Carly doen't love Jack anymore, at least not to the intensity as the past because Jack has become her tormentor and judge. She is always AFRAID of him. It looks more and more like MW's exit for Maternity Leave will be about rehab. I want her to get better and finally put Jack where he belongs in her life...on the top shelf in her closet. He can still interact with the kids, but if he stays away from Carly IMO she will get better. Because Jack has ALWAYS made Carly feel as though is he better than her and she was privileged to be honored by his omnipotent presense in her life. Right now Craig is better for her than Jack because he CARES and he never tries to make a damaged person PERFECT which in this day and society especially is impossible...HEAR THAT JACK??? There are no perfect people, we all are just doing our best to survive and sometimes we make bad decisions; but that does NOT make us BAD people!
