He quits school!(Only 16yrs old) Ths kid is getting so outta hand!If he were my child he would've been gotten a beatdown.

I am puzzled as to why Parker gets so much air time. This out of control teenager s/l needs to come to an end. Parker needs professional help. He never did complete his counseling sessions when he and Faith were in therapy.

Craig needs to stop fueling the fire - talking to Janet... If he wants to help Carly, then talk to Carly and let her know what he plans to do. However, I think he needs to concentrate on raising Johnny and making sure he is a well rounded kid. I agree with Janet when she told him such. If he doesn't, Johnny will grow up to be an out of control teenager just like Parker.

Between the Katie/Brad s/l and the Parker s/l, ATWT is starting to hit rock bottom. These characters are just stupid. In normal situations, this kid would have been sent away a long time for some psychological counseling. The kid has always had problems and just keeps letting him get away with things.

Exsaclty Why is the answer always send them away .If you into becoming a parent then your in for the long haul.Heck my 32 year old still reguires a little of moms good old guidelines.The world is changing to the worst thats why you are going to continue to see kids coming home and the economy isn't helping.The kids are always dieing to get out until reality hits their pockets and their minds.You never stop being a parent because then come the grandchilderen and you have to help pull the weight there too.So how about don't send them away and face the ugly music and just love them fight with them argue whatever it takes to help did them out of the hole and like I say love them till death do you part.I do agree Parker needs a big kick in the but.He is still a minor and don't parents get into trouble for not attending school Whoever gave the right that a 16 year could drop out of school had lost their marbles.See what we get parents are kicked in the teeth because of this stupid law if it is law in your state.In Florida the kid has to go to bad kid school or work.I have gone to school with my daughter and you seen a different attitude.No kid wants to be embarassed like that.But I won.School she went and no more fighting it.So have at it with Parker.Plus if he would have known about his money that would have helped.Big mouth parents or whoever told him.

Please, please, please tell me this is not how real American teenaged boys act. I have two girls and they are no where near this idiotic. This story line has got to be the WORST I have seen. I mean, granted this is fictional, but the writers must have gotten this idea from seeing this type of behavior somewhere (hopefully not in their own household). If this was in my family, and that's a BIG IF..I would knock some much needed sense in his head (Spare the rod and spoil the child), I don't care how old he is.....I don't usually get this involved in a storyline, but this one is really horrible, not sending a good message.

I'm not 100% sure but I think striking your child in the head could be considered child abuse. I'm not sure what the allowable amount of force in striking a child in the head is but I would think it would be a low amount of force, maybe like the head slap Gibbs gives Tony on NCIS.

I didn't realize there was so much violence directed at kids these days. I guess its just me and the way I was raised that leads me down a less violent road. I like what Jack is doing, if he made a big deal out of Parker droping out of school then he would be validating Parker's reason for dropping out which was to shock his parents and fight them on who knows what is best. The harder they try to push Parker to go back to school(i.e. kicking his but all the way back) would then make Parker that much more determined not to go back which could lead to him running away or worse. By showing Parker hey it's your life if you want to screw it up go ahead I'll still love you he is defusing Parker which in return will calm him down and he'll probably end up back at school when the fall term starts. They only have a week or two before school is out so if Parker is determined to fail or quit there isn't a lot you can do right now.
