Well thank the good Lord Jack and Carly are his parents because I don't think physical violence towards a child is always the best way to go. I think Parker needs to be given some space and let him sulk for a while and when he comes out of it he'll be fine and probably want to finish his education. Nobody that is in love the way Parker is with Liberty is just going to get over that and move on with their life over night. It's going to take some time for Parker's heart to heal and in the mean time people need to cut him a break. Some people eat a tub of ice cream when they lose the person they love some people do destructive things but none the less they need time to recover. |

Since I have to stay in the guidelines I'll say you are wrong, that thought set is why we have such a teen problem now anyway. Jack and Carlie better come up with something; send him away maybe. |

How did i know you would be the one to defend parker. He is out of control and has been for awhile he thinks he can just do whatever he wants and treat people whatever way he wants. It is either his way or no way this show has really gone down hill it is unbearable to watch this show when he is on good thing the writers are hardly putting him on. Send him away and bring back JJ |

I am puzzled as to why Parker gets so much air time. This out of control teenager s/l needs to come to an end. Parker needs professional help. He never did complete his counseling sessions when he and Faith were in therapy. |

Between the Katie/Brad s/l and the Parker s/l, ATWT is starting to hit rock bottom. These characters are just stupid. In normal situations, this kid would have been sent away a long time for some psychological counseling. The kid has always had problems and just keeps letting him get away with things. |

I don't think abandoning a child is the way to go, if you ship your child off for another person to straighten out your giving up on your child or your giving up on yourself but either way it's the wrong thing to do. Children should respect their parents but at the same time the parents should be worthy of the child's respect. Getting drunk all the time and letting another man play God with your child's life is not something I deem worthy cf respect. Carly did get a little of my respect back when she slapped Craig and told him to stay out of her child's life. |

Please, please, please tell me this is not how real American teenaged boys act. I have two girls and they are no where near this idiotic. This story line has got to be the WORST I have seen. I mean, granted this is fictional, but the writers must have gotten this idea from seeing this type of behavior somewhere (hopefully not in their own household). If this was in my family, and that's a BIG IF..I would knock some much needed sense in his head (Spare the rod and spoil the child), I don't care how old he is.....I don't usually get this involved in a storyline, but this one is really horrible, not sending a good message. |

Quote keytonblows: Thats right good thing they are his parents because i would have been broken him outta all his bad habits...Give him space? thats what his problem is now he has been given too much space..Parker is obsessed with Liberty because she was his first sexual experience.

I'm not 100% sure but I think striking your child in the head could be considered child abuse. I'm not sure what the allowable amount of force in striking a child in the head is but I would think it would be a low amount of force, maybe like the head slap Gibbs gives Tony on NCIS. |

That is the problem with kids now, too much power to hold over their parents heads. Leaving school for that reason is unacceptable!!! Wrong on so many levels. I would be kicking his arse(yes literally) back to that school or it's boot camp for you kiddo! |

I didn't realize there was so much violence directed at kids these days. I guess its just me and the way I was raised that leads me down a less violent road. I like what Jack is doing, if he made a big deal out of Parker droping out of school then he would be validating Parker's reason for dropping out which was to shock his parents and fight them on who knows what is best. The harder they try to push Parker to go back to school(i.e. kicking his but all the way back) would then make Parker that much more determined not to go back which could lead to him running away or worse. By showing Parker hey it's your life if you want to screw it up go ahead I'll still love you he is defusing Parker which in return will calm him down and he'll probably end up back at school when the fall term starts. They only have a week or two before school is out so if Parker is determined to fail or quit there isn't a lot you can do right now. |

Let me tell you almost ALL kids that drop out of school...never go back. It was a STUPID move on Jack's part. Man if EVERY kid that had their heart broken dropped out of school..we would need no high school teachers at all. What a ridiculous excuse! Shows he needs to race back to school, the kid has no sense. Jack is an idiot, and Parker needs boot camp. FTR, I wasn't raised in a violent home, and neither were my kids. |
