All My Children - DAILY UPDATES

Aidan slips out of the motel room where Kendall is sleeping and pads downstairs to the lobby. The woman there says he looks like he's been through a meat-grinder, and calls him Tom. She stands up and kisses him, saying, "I've missed you, Devane." She shows him the photo of Kendall on the newspaper, and he smiles. Kendall wakes up and goes downstairs too. Aidan pretends he doesn't know the woman, who tells Kendall that her husband was a military man, always off on some mission, then she found out that he'd been killed. She talks about the man who came to tell her the news, and how she never wanted him to leave. Kendall says she's sorry, which seems to set the woman off - she slams out of the front door! Kendall tells Aidan they need to leave there - now! Aidan clearly doesn't want to go - they bicker.

At the Chandler Mansion, Zach pushes on Adam's chest as he lies prone on the floor. Zach says he's not going anywhere until he clears Kendall! Annie says she'll save Adam, but Colby steps forward and tells her she's nothing to this family! Annie turns to Ryan and accuses him of almost killing Adam just so he could punish her! Annie kneels down and pleads with Adam not to die.

In Adam's subconscience, he is in a white room with a devil who looks just like David Hayward. Adam explains that he was at his wedding and everything was going fine until Stuart showed up! The devil introduces himself as Adam Chandler! Adam asks if he's in hell, but the devil explains that he's one floor up - in purgatory! They discuss whether or not Adam should be allowed to go home, but Adam says he doesn't want to - he killed his brother! The devil is pleased that this will be so easy, but as he's about to take Adam to hell, he gets a call saying an angel is coming to plead his case!

In purgatory, Annie shows up as an angel. Adam explains that he deserves to burn for what he did. She tries to convince Adam to return to Annie, who loves him - she deserves his love in return. The angel is pregnant, and reminds him that he can't change the past, but he can change the future. She begs him to go back - he can make amends. The devil laughs. Annie tells Adam to go back up, but the devil says he agreed to go down. They argue as Adam tries to decide. Adam finally admits he wants to go back, saying, "I do!"

On the floor of the Chandler Mansion, Adam jolts awake and blurts, "I do!" As the paramedics wheel in a stretcher, Annie triumphantly says, "You heard him! He said, 'I do'!" Adam is lifted onto the stretcher and the paramedic tells Zach he saved his life. Annie turns to the minister and asks him to pronounce her and Adam to be husband and wife. He does, as Erica shakes her head at her gall. Once Adam is taken away, Scott turns to Zach, Erica, and Ryan and tells them that they are all the reason his father is dead - not Adam. They came to the house that night looking for trouble and his father paid the price. He threatens to call the police if any of them go near Adam at the hospital!

A police officer comes into the lobby of the motel where Kendall is standing with Aidan. He asks for the woman, Kat. Aidan says she's gone for milk to offer them coffee. He says he'll wait. When he asks them where they're from, they give different answers - the officer says they are acting pretty jumpy! Aidan tells the policeman that they're on the run - they're in love and having an affair. The officer tells them that he's not really there for Kat's coffee - they're real good at keeping secrets around there! Aidan and Kendall go to their room.

Alone in the Chandler Mansion, Erica, Zach, Ryan, and Liza confer about whether to go put the pressure on Adam. Ryan tells Liza that Adam shot Stuart - that's why he said what he did at the ceremony. Ryan says he's taking Emma and going home.

In the hospital, David leans over Adam and asks if he took too many of the little blue pills he gave him. Adam tells him he looks very red (devil)! David says the heart attack should have killed him, but he's just too mean to die! Out in the waiting area, Colby tells Annie to get out, but Annie says she's now her stepmother. JR and Marissa stand there too, and JR threatens to have the marriage annulled! Annie says he has no idea what lengths she's gone to to take care of Adam. Marissa suddenly puts it all together. She tells Annie that the reason she married him isn't so he can't testify against her, but so she can't testify against him! Colby demands to know if it's true - did her father kill Uncle Stuart. Just then, David says they can see Adam. He looks at Annie and smiles, saying, "My angel." As Annie sits with Adam, JR and Marissa watch. JR tells Marissa that he thought Annie was guilty - now he realizes that his father has the same sort of weaknesses as he does. Marissa says they're in this together now - she's his wife. JR says, "Yeah. And Annie's my dad's."

Back in the motel room, Aidan tells Kendall to relax and get some rest. Kendall isn't sure if their story worked, and wants to get in touch with Zach. Aidan says they'll be watching him - she can't contact him anymore. Aidan says he'll go downstairs to try to get a better read on Kat and the officer - to see if they're onto them. Once he leaves, Kendall starts pounding away on the keyboard to Zach.

Ryan and Erica are at ConFusion. Ryan is acting distracted, and Erica tells him that he isn't responsible for almost killing Adam - his guilt did that! Ryan feels he shouldn't have pushed, knowing Adam has a heart condition. Erica talks about Kendall, worrying whether she's hurt, or even still alive. Ryan reassures her. Erica says there has to be a way to get Adam to admit what he's done. Ryan puts his arm around her.

Down in the lobby, Kat tells Aidan that it was a coincidence - the officer showing up. He says he knew she'd be cool. Kat notes she's always been a sucker for him, but this time he doesn't seem to care. Aidan tells her that the newspaper story about Kendall isn't true - she's innocent, and he's helping her. Kat realizes he loves Kendall.

Colby is back at the Chandler Mansion. She tells Liza that her father is alive, then says she heard something crazy at the hospital. Liza asks if it's about Adam being the one who shot Stuart? Colby asks if it's true - Liza says it is, according to Zach and Ryan. Bailey checks in by phone, but Liza lets her go, she wants to focus on Colby. Liza and Colby embrace.

By Adam's hospital bed, Annie asks him to kiss the bride, which he does. She walks out of the room over to Scott and tells him Adam is going to be okay. Scott places her wedding ring on her finger. They look wistfully at one another!
