Annie has it out with Erica, Amanda helps Kendall, and Liza comforts Bailey!
At home, David reads aloud from the newspaper about Kendall's daring escape from the hospital. Amanda listens, and notes she's always had trouble believing that Kendall shot Stuart. David points out that she showed up there to kill Adam, and then tried to pin it on him! Amanda suddenly gets a text - it says 'escape'. She tells David that she needs to go shopping. David wants to go along. Amanda gets another text that says 'stables now or never'. She tells David she's going to get the stroller.
Ryan has a tantrum in the hospital corridor. Erica sees, and asks him not to do this. He rants about Annie being allowed to see Emma, and how he had to sit in there with her all night. Erica tells him Kendall is still on the run. She admits that she helped her break out of the hospital. Ryan is surprised, but she explains that she had no idea what would happen. Ryan says that he's exhausted from watching Annie. Erica suggests he take a break, but he won't leave in case Emma wakes up. Erica tells him to close his eyes as she describes them being on the boat in the water. As they hug, Annie watches from around the corner.
Liza and Zach are at the police station. Zach roars at Willis that he has no idea where Kendall and Aidan have gone to! Jesse appears and says they found blood in the hospital parking lot - one of them was shot! Willis tells Zach that he's not to leave the station. Zach and Liza go into a separate room, where she asks him what is going on. He tells her the original plan, and expresses frustration that Kendall took off. Jesse comes in and tells them the bloodtype from the parking lot. Zach says it's not Kendall's! Liza says he must feel relieved, but Zach says he won't feel better until she's found. They bicker about Aidan - Liza says he took a bullet for Kendall, but Zach says he shouldn't have gone along with her plan to run. Zach fires Liza. She throws up her hands and says that's fine, she's been trying to quit for a long time. She reminds him that she has Ian, and says she'll keep him as long as he needs. Willis tells Zach he can go, and Jesse warns Zach that the US Marshals have been called in on the manhunt - he has no control over them!
Kendall, who has dozed off, wakes up to hear Aidan grunting in pain - she checks the bullet wound on his arm. They're hiding in a stable full of hay bales. Kendall is worried about Aidan's condition and gives him water from a bottle. They hear a noise, and Kendall picks up a gun.
Amanda meets with Jake in the stable and says, "Secret mission, huh?" They kiss. Jake says he sees a hay loft in their immediate future. Amanda swallows a giggle as they suddenly find themselves on the other end of Kendall's gun! Kendall tells them that she didn't kill Stuart, and she escaped because she had no choice. Jake and Amanda say they believe her, and offer to help her. Kendall lowers the gun and asks them to help Aidan - he's hurt really bad! Jake works on Aidan's arm, and sends Amanda to the house for supplies.
Amanda goes back into Wildwind and stalls David who is waiting to go for a walk. She takes some first aid items from his doctor bag. She rushes back out of the front door and heads to the stables. David appears with a curious look on his face!
Liza arrives at home and calls out for Colby. Bailey comes out holding a very upset Stuart - she says he's been like this for hours! Liza takes him and he calms immediately. Bailey is distraught. She tells Liza that she feels like a lame mother, then asks why Liza is helping her - doesn't she want to get rid of her? Liza wants to do what's best for Stuart, and she admits that she doesn't know how it will play out. Bailey takes another shot at feeding the baby, and this time she does better with him. Liza watches with a torn look on her face. Bailey ignores a call from her mother, then tells Liza that she exaggerated when she said her parents forced her into the adoption. She admits that they told her it was up to her. She says she gave him up because she didn't feel ready, but felt empty ever since. Liza comforts her.
Erica spots Annie watching her and Ryan in the waiting area. She offers to take Annie to the vending machine for a coffee. Annie agrees, and Erica tells Ryan to go be alone with Emma. They walk up the hall, and Annie asks Erica for advice on how to get through this - she knows she sat by Kendall's bedside for months. Erica snidely says, "First, you have to actually love her!" Annie says she has some nerve lecturing her - she's made plenty of mistakes as a mother! They bicker back and forth, and Erica says her worst crime is what she's doing to Emma!
Amanda arrives in the stables with the first aid supplies. Jake fixes Aidan up, and Kendall asks Jake to deliver a letter to Zach. He agrees, and leaves. Kendall tells Amanda that Annie is the one who killed Stuart, and once Zach and Ryan nail her, then she'll be able to go home.
Zach shows up at the hospital and greets Ryan. They discuss Kendall's escape. Ryan realizes that Zach wants him to care for Ian while he goes on the run looking for her. Ryan asks if he wants him to also find a way to get Ian to them after everything dies down? Ryan says, "It's not going to happen." Zach urges him to do it for Kendall and Ian. Ryan says she is a convicted felon and he will be her accomplice. Ryan feels she just panicked, but Zach can't get over the fact that she left with Aidan. Suddenly, Jake appears and asks to speak to Zach for a moment. Jake gives him Kendall's letter, which says she knows he is worried, but he has to trust her strength and courage - their love has given her that strength. She promises to find her way back to him, and urges him not to come after her, but to stay and look after the boys. Zach's phone rings - it's Jesse - he says they have a lead on Kendall!
Ryan is in with Emma, telling her how much he loves her, and pleading with her to wake up. Erica comes in and says her coffee break with Annie was exhausting. Ryan tells her Zach has no idea where Kendall has gone. She decides to go and see what she can find out from Jesse. Ryan walks her to the door, so he doesn't see Emma's hand squeeze her stuffed animal!
Jesse is at the hospital to meet with Zach. He tells him that the getaway car was spotted hidden in some trees behind Wildwind. Zach tells Jesse to let them get away.
Kendall and Aidan are still in the stable with Amanda when David comes in. He asks Kendall what she's doing there?! Amanda hits him over the head from behind with a shovel, and he falls to the ground! Amanda tells Aidan and Kendall to go - fast!
Annie returns to Emma's room. Ryan says he's going to check on some test results, and warns that he'll be right down the hall. Annie sits down beside Emma and tells her everything is going to be okay. Emma says, "Mommy, can I open my eyes now?" Annie beams!

After Emma wakes up, Annie tells Emma they have to keep their secret. Ryan is then unsuccessful in getting Emma to talk.
Zach asks Jesse to let Kendall get away.
Amanda confesses the truth to David after she knocks him out!
