I Need Your Help!

Friday, August 28 2009
JR gets bad news, Randi can't do what is right and David demands answers from Liza!

Scott goes over the financial results with Adam and concludes that Zach is desperate for cash. Adam wonders why JR isn’t around when these important business decisions need to be made. Annie says that she is the reason he isn’t there. She suggests that they take advantage of the loan to Zach, and have the reception there since they may own it soon anyway. She offers to assist Scott with reviewing all of the accounting books since JR isn’t around to help.

At the casino, Zach wants all of his staff to liven up a bit. Jesse comes in to follow up on the injury report concerning Liza. He’s shocked to hear that Kendall caused the injury by hitting her over the head with a computer. As Zach informs Jesse that Liza has no clue about how the injury really happened, she enters the room. Liza pulls Zach aside and informs him that she is removing herself as Kendall’s attorney. She rambles on about ensuring that the new attorney will be up to speed, but Zach interrupts her, “This is not going to happen; I’m not gonna let you go!” Liza is reluctant to stay on, but Zach suggests that she go home and think about it because he and Kendall need her.

While at the hospital, David receives a call informing him that Jake Martin and his new wife were snooping around, asking questions about a baby. David can’t believe what he is hearing. Before hanging up, David instructs the girl to keep doing the job he is paying her for.

Frankie and Randi are relieved that Matthew doesn’t need to be rushed to see a doctor right now. Frankie can’t help but worry though, because it is bound to happen at some point. Frankie insists that they can’t keep going like this and that somehow, they need to make the adoption legal. Randi doesn’t even want to think about the possibility of losing him. Natalia shows up and the three of them discuss what the next steps should be. Natalia thinks they should begin by telling Jesse everything, and go from there. She and Frankie load up the car and go back to get Randi and the baby. They enter the apartment and are shocked to find them gone.

Angie finds JR in the hospital and has his test results in hand. She has conferred with the best doctors available and the results are not what they had hoped them to be. The results show that JR has a rare form of Lymphoma…..Cancer. Although the news is bad, Angie insists that he can fight it. JR wants to know the odds, but Angie doesn’t have a lot of information for him due to the rarity. She reminds him that this is war that he is going to have to fight, one battle at a time. JR wants to see his son grow up and become a man. He wants more time to think about his choices, but Angie encourages him that he needs to start the treatment ASAP. She refers him to a specialist before leaving.

JR arrives home and Adam wants to know what excuse he has this time. His father begins to hassle him and insists that he wants Little Adam back in this house as soon as Annie has been cleared. JR gets upset and storms out. Scott thinks that something isn’t right with the way JR is acting. Adam tells Annie and Scott that he wants Little Adam back in his house as soon as the restrictions are lifted. He doesn’t want David anywhere near his grandson!

Angie makes it home and finds Jesse planning a romantic picnic on the fire escape for the two of them. They are interrupted by a knock at the door. Jesse opens it and finds Randi there with Matthew in her arms, “I need your help,” she says. She informs them of what has been going on and Angie tries to reassure her that everything will be okay. Frankie arrives and begs her “Please don’t scare me like that again!” Angie volunteers to take the baby in so that it won’t be quite as hard on Randi. Before they are able to leave, Randi threatens that she will tell everyone that she killed Henry and that Jesse helped her cover it up, if she can’t keep this baby!

Zach tells Kendall that Liza wants off the case, and she suggests that she let her. Zach tells her that he can’t let that happen. Kendall immediately thinks that Liza does indeed mean something to him. Zach defends Liza and insists that she is the one who can keep Kendall out of prison. Zach is determined to prove to everyone that Annie is the killer.

Liza runs into Marissa in the waiting room and wonders if she should be back at work so soon. They compare notes about how controlling David can be. Liza tells her about her injury and about how she thinks that getting hit by the door was a sign to move on if there ever was one. She informs Marissa that she has removed herself from Kendall’s case…so that means that Marissa is out of a job. Liza admits that it is so hard to say “No” to that man. Marissa thinks that if Liza gets Kendall free to be with Zach, then that will do away with her temptation. Liza agrees...for now and allows Marissa to get to work. As she digs through her purse, Liza is grabbed from behind and dragged through the double doors by David. He holds her at gunpoint and tells her that Jake and Amanda would not be searching for a baby if they knew he was there with her! David has finally put it all together even though Liza tries to deny it. After a while with a gun in her face, she started to confess things. David doesn’t like what she is saying and demands that she tell him everything she knows about his son. Liza swears that she thought Stewart was his until a few days ago. David wonders why Jake would lie to Liza!

Zach goes to see Annie about the reception. Adam leaves Zach and Scott alone while he runs upstairs to get her. Scott tells Zach that there is one question that needs to be answered and it’s concerning a $100,000 payment last month. Zach informs him that it was a seventy-eight year old widow that didn’t need the government taking her winnings since her husband had passed on. When Annie makes it to the room, Zach apologizes to her and says that he has misjudged her. He thought that it was all an act, but now he see’s that she has really put her life back together. This gives him hope for him and Kendall. He says that now he just needs to make sure that everything is perfect for her reception.

JR takes Little Adam to visit his mother’s gravesite. JR tells him that he has tried to be a good dad. Marissa walks up and confirms that he is doing a great job! She insists that JR is going to be there for him always.

As Kendall sits upstairs with the children, an unknown person sneaks into the house and heads toward the kids' room.

Assume it was nurse Gayle that David was talking to. Or does he have yet another young woman doing his dirty work for him?

What happened to the other comments that were posted before the recap was posted?

Those moronic writers better not screw up JR's cancer story line!

jumps-Yes it was nurse Gayle that called David and told him that Jake and his new wife came to see her and were asking about a baby. She told David that Amanda wanted to know where her baby was. We all knew that the good ex-nurse was going to tell David exactly what happened. What surprised me is how long it took for her to call. Now David is loaded for bear! I'll tell you the truth, I'm not looking forward to this S/L.

I cann't believe that Randi is throwing Jesse under the bus, after all he's done to help her. Maybe they need to stick her in the attic with Kendall.

Apparently the writers are trying to weed out characters for the move to LA...because almost every charcter has a reason to be sent to jail right now. I would like to know how the writers will get them all out of a prison sentence!! I might have to stop watching AMC after 30 years!

I cann't believe that Adam has the nerve to think that he deserves to have Lil A back under his roof. I don't blame JR for not telling him what's going on in his life. He clearly went to Adam's with the intent of telling him he has the big C. But Adam tried and convicted him of being drunk and spineless without giving him a chance to explain what's wrong. Since Adam has chosen a lunatic over his son and grandson, JR has just cause to let Adam know how it feels and tell him he no longer has a son and grandson. Just let Adam sit on that for awhile. Maybe move closer to that hospital that Angie told him about.

Didn't see today's show yet, but it sure seems Liza had loose lips for an attorny.

I hear the writers are writing the S/Ls several different ways. This so they can be ready to go with stories for the actors that will move or commute.
