Scott gets lessons from David, Erica learns of Adam's engagement, and Zach and Jesse's plot is revealed!
Scott kisses Marissa in the hospital. She says he caught her off guard - she wasn't expecting that! He assumes she's not happy about it, and says he's used to being blown off, adding that he realizes she'd never fall for him because he's not JR! Marissa wonders why everyone assumes she's in love with JR. Scott just tells her to call him when she needs a shoulder to cry on, and leaves.
Annie, at the Chandler Mansion, is talking to Emma on the phone. She tells her daughter never to tell what she really saw that night. Adam hears, and asks who is on the phone! She admits it was Emma, and Adam warns that the court ordered no contact! Annie says she has to pick up the phone when she calls her. Dr. Nolan arrives to see Annie. Adam steps over to the phone and calls the judge - he tells his friend that he's getting married, but his wife-to-be has gotten herself into a predicament - and he's just the man to help! Annie tells Dr. Nolan that she's engaged.
Ryan comes into the room where Emma is just hanging up the phone. He asks what she promised, and to whom? He calls Jesse, who comes over straight away. Ryan tells him that Annie gave Emma a phone. They go over the phone records and see that Annie has been busy. Ryan says that Annie also called the house to tell Emma that she is engaged to Adam! Ryan wants Annie to be held accountable for violating the court order, but Jesse says it may not be enough!
At the prison, Erica argues with Liza and fires her. The guard takes Erica's note to Kendall - but it's a lookalike in the cell! Liza tells Erica that she can't fire her - Zach hired her. Erica says that was based on a one night stand - Kendall needs a lawyer with her best interests at heart! The guard comes to tell Erica that Kendall still won't see her. Liza urges Erica to give her time to adjust.
Zach and Kendall talk in the attic. She asks him how she got there. He says this is where she should be - with him and the boys - and she'll never leave them. Zach tells her that Jesse gave her drugs - they're starting to wear off. She says she remembers the judge giving her life in prison, Jesse leading her out, Marian shooting, Zach saying goodbye, then Jesse leading her to the prison van. She remembers seeing a woman in a corridor, and then nothing else. Kendall is appalled, but Zach assures her there will be no man-hunt - Kendall Hart Slater is in prison doing her time right now! Kendall digests that fact that there is someone posing as her in prison. Zach tells her that it will only be for as long as it takes to prove that Annie shot Stuart. Kendall tries to leave, but is locked in! Zach warns that she would ruin Jesse's life if she were to run. He tells her the room is soundproof and goes to answer the door. After he leaves, Kendall hears Spike in the baby monitor!
Liza arrives in Marissa's hospital room, apologizing again for what happened. Marissa asks after Marian, and Liza says they've taken her for evaluation. They discuss the case, and Liza admits to Marissa that she wants to appeal, but Zach nor Kendall will see her. Marissa asks why she's so concerned. Liza says it's Zach - he's suddenly resigned to seeing Kendall stay in prison! Marissa says, "You like him." Liza says she'll check in with her later.
Jesse visits the Chandler Mansion and tells Adam that Annie's calls to Emma need to stop - or Ryan will press to have her returned to prison. Adam tells Jesse that he's a very resourceful man - and he's going to get Annie out from under all these charges - as a wedding gift! Annie comes bounding into the room after a successful session with Dr. Nolan, and Jesse shakes his head as they kiss. After Jesse leaves, Adam and Annie open a bottle of champagne. When the cork pops, Adam hears a gunshot in his mind! He gasps, "Oh my God! Stuart!" He quickly exits the room, saying he needs to rest.
David parks himself beside Scott at the bar in Confusion. He thanks him for visiting Marissa. Scott says that's what friends are for - that's all they'll ever be. David muses that it could change. Scott then asks David for tips on the whole 'Prince of Darkness' thing! David tells Scott to go after her, and to crush anything that gets in his way - even people he loves! David warns that once that fire is there - it's in you forever - and you end up alone, or sharing a beer with people who don't like you very much!
Zach lets Liza into the house. She says she just came from the prison and Kendall won't see anyone - including Erica and her! She wonders how she is supposed to do an appeal if Kendall won't talk to her. Zach tries to put her off, but Liza says she saved Kendall's life - and the payback starts now. She says an appeal could get Kendall off - he needs to work with her on some level! Zach says he will, but not tonight, and not in his house around the kids. He ushers her out and closes the door in her face!
Erica goes to Ryan's house and says she doesn't know what to do - Kendall refuses to see her, and it seems that both she and Zach have just given up! Ryan suggests that they back off, but Erica says they need to do something - she wants Ryan to go see Kendall, as a friend. Ryan doesn't want to be involved anymore - he feels he should be focusing on Emma right now. He tells Erica that Annie has been contacting her, and even threatening to go for custody since she's become engaged to Adam. Erica gasps - the world has gone mad!
Zach returns to the attic where he finds Kendall listening to Spike through the monitor. Kendall says she wants to see the boys - and hold them and kiss them! Zach shakes his head and says, "You can't." He explains that she'll have to be their imaginary mom. They go down to see Spike, where Zach tells her that the rest of the world will think she's a figment of the boys' imaginations. Kendall soothes Spike and says that she will never leave him again.
Alone at home, later, Ryan is watching the same movie as Erica is at her house. He picks up the phone and calls her to apologize for earlier. She says she understands that he needs to focus on Emma. They realize they are watching the same movie, then say goodnight. They both look at their phones and think of the other.
Liza goes back to see Marissa. She says that she saw Zach and he agreed to help with the appeal - but something is different - he's closed off. Marissa wonders if she's always this concerned about her clients. Liza protests, but finally admits she may have a little thing for Zach. Marissa promises to keep mum.
David goes to Liza's room at the Yacht Club. She opens the door and asks what he's doing there. He says something they'll both regret in the morning. With that, he grabs her and kisses her!
Scott comes into the Chandler Mansion to find Annie sprawled in her bikini on the sofa, sipping champagne. He shocks her by stripping off and heading to the pool!
