Taylor and Tad deal with a break-in, Randi suffers a loss, and ADA Willis finds Emma!
Amanda wakes up after dreaming of a baby crying. She gasps, "My baby!"
Tad is at Taylor's house rocking the crying baby. Taylor gets up, and after a brief exchange where Tad complains about her snoring, he tells her the baby needs something he doesn't have - breasts! Taylor is dumbfounded. Tad goes on to say that the baby needs curves, bumps - he's used to being cared for by a woman. The baby calms when Taylor takes him. She explains to Tad that she was always a career girl - she wanted to be a general, not a mom! She looks at Tad, and says, "I want a baby. I want one of these!" After she puts the baby to bed, they reflect on her 'maternal moment'. Suddenly, they hear a noise in the other room - Taylor says she left her window open and, telling Tad she's trained for this, rushes in see what happened!
In her hospital room, Randi cries out, "Frankie it hurts!" He frantically looks to his mother for help! Angie confers with another doctor about Randi's cramps. The other doctor takes over with Randi, as Angie takes Frankie outside into the hall. He blurts that Randi's losing the baby - and he doubted her! Angie says this is in God's hands. He wonders how much they're going to have to go through? When the other doctor steps over and whispers that Randi lost the baby, Frankie rushes over to Randi's bed and embraces her.
Erica and Ryan are at the hospital with Emma. Erica tells Jake that Emma witnessed Stuart's murder and has shut down. Emma pulls a pillow over her head as Ryan soothes her. He asks Jake to try to speak with Emma. Jake says the therapist is on her way, but he'll try. Ryan walks back over to Erica, who tries to reassure him that his daughter will be alright, but Ryan's not happy that he's waiting for a psychiatrist to evaluate Emma - just like he did with Annie! They step closer and listen as Jake talks to Emma about how he used to hold his breath when he was a kid. He succeeds in getting her to react as he demonstrates. He then tells her she did nothing wrong - the grown-ups did - and now they feel silly. The therapist arrives and greets Emma. Also on the scene is ADA Willis, who has a document saying he can question Emma. Ryan gets into a confrontation with him, and Erica says Willis isn't going anywhere near that little girl! They argue as Ryan, Jake, and Jesse look on. Jesse then tells them that they need to cooperate - Zach called and said Emma is ready to talk! Angie appears and tells Jesse that Randi lost the baby. They rush off.
In the Chandler living room, Adam asks Annie how long she has been planning their wedding. She says she loves him, then turns off the surveillance camera and proposes to him! Adam doesn't want to ruin anything by rushing into matrimony. Annie says part of him must still think she killed his brother! She says he can choose to see 'crazy' Annie, or he can see the woman who loves him very much and who would do anything to make him happy! Every protest that Adam mounts, Annie cuts off. She finally says, "I saved your life, and this is the kind of treatment I get?!" Adam insists that they're still getting to know one another. She says if he won't commit to her - she'd rather go back to jail. Adam sighs, and asks her to share a nightcap with him. She wants to be alone. He goes to bed. Annie says to herself, "You will marry me, Adam Chandler!"
Zach catches up with Kendall near the Chandler Mansion. She tells him that she shot Stuart - she must have been blocking out the truth because it was too horrible! She says she remembered seeing Emma there - it's only a matter of time until she recalls the rest. Zach says she didn't do it, and neither did he. Kendall cries and says, "I'm so, so sorry, Stuart!" She tells Zach about seeing Stuart's ghost, and he throws his hands up, saying that Annie shot Stuart. He tells Kendall to stop confessing to something she didn't do. He then promises that Annie will go to prison for this!
Kendall and Zach arrive at home. Zach gets Kendall settled and then removes a gun from the safe. He puts bullets into it! As he is leaving, Erica arrives to confront him about phoning Jesse to say Emma is ready to talk. He tells her he has to go - she should stay and watch Kendall! Kendall emerges from her room and wonders where Zach went. She then tells Erica that she shot Stuart. She asks Erica to watch her sons - she has to turn herself in before Zach does something stupid to protect her. Erica says she's leaving over her dead body!
Angie stops Jesse as he punches the wall in the hospital corridor upon hearing that Randi lost the baby. He says that he did all this for the baby! Angie pleads with him to tell her what is going on! She says she has seen the looks between him and Randi - what is it? Jesse tells her to leave it alone. She asks if he's in danger? He says they need to deal with their son right now - he just lost his baby! They head into Randi's room, where Frankie says he can take her home after the D&C. Angie takes him out into the hall and embraces him. Jesse is left alone with Randi, who tells him this is her punishment for killing North! Angie turns and looks as Jesse kisses Randi's hand.
Still in her hospital bed, Emma doesn't budge when the psychiatrist asks her if she'll talk to her. Jake and Ryan look on in frustration. ADA Willis appears with his subpoena. The doctor says he can question Emma, but she'll have to observe. Willis approaches Emma and says it's really important that she tell him what happened that night. When she doesn't respond, he asks her if she'd like to draw it! Emma thinks back to Annie telling her to 'forget' in the attic. She takes the chalk Willis offers her and when he asks who scared her that night, she writes, "Mommy" on the chalkboard!
At Taylor's house, Amanda is apologizing profusely for wrecking the flat screen television. She says she couldn't help herself - she had to check on the baby. Tad says she should stay for awhile - it's like a slumber party without the slumber! Tad and Taylor step aside as Amanda picks up her son. Tad asks Taylor not to tell anyone that he let her handle the 'burgler'! Once Amanda falls asleep on the sofa with her son, Taylor tears up at the sight. Tad is moved.
Annie sits alone in the living room, going through the calendar for wedding dates. She hears a noise on the terrace and stands up facing the terrace doors. Adam can be heard also, calling out Annie's name. Suddenly, Annie gasps as a bullet pierces the glass of the terrace doors and scares her. Zach was outside, but it is Adam who Annie is facing through the terrace doors!
