Annie believes Richie is still alive, Bianca takes over Fusion, Zach turns on Reese, Greenlee comforts Emma, Angie sees David and Krystal kissing and Taylor discovers Brot is alive!
At the hospital, Frankie tells Jake that Brot is alive – and in Pine Valley. He says he told Brot to come clean with Taylor or he would tell her the truth. Just then, Taylor comes up and asks if they are talking about her. Jake says they were just talking about her physical therapy but she doesn't buy it. They hurry away and Jake asks what happened. Frankie says he doesn't have all of the details but somehow Brot survived but was badly injured. "He says he is a different man now," Frankie says but admits that Brot is probably still in love with her. Jake says they have to tell Taylor even though he doesn't want to do that. Frankie slowly walks to Taylor's room. She finishes her therapy as he beats around the bush. Taylor tells him to spit it out. "He didn't want you to know," Frankie says, "Brot is here." Taylor says he is horrible for making Brot into a joke. Frankie says this isn't a joke or a motivating factor. "You're a liar," she says. Frankie says he doesn't know how it happened but Brot survived and took on a different identity. He says he saw Brot himself, shocking her even more. Taylor asks Frankie to see him.
Krystal, crying, goes to Angie at the hospital. She says she is losing her mind! David watches them closely. They go to a waiting area and Angie tells her to face her fears and her loss head on or she'll never get her life back. Krystal says she can't shut off her feelings – for David! She says she feels connected to David because of Babe. Angie says there is no shame in leaning on other people but that leaning on David is a huge mistake. She suggests Krystal talk to a professional but Krystal won't. Angie returns to her rounds. David walks in and asks what he can do. She tells him to leave her alone but David keeps pushing her, asking what is wrong. She tells him to stay away from her family and David says he isn't interested in her family. She walks away and he follows her, saying they are the only two who understand what they are going through. She says her life is with Tad and the girls and he has to leave her alone. David tells her to fight for her life, just like she taught Babe to fight. "I'm running on empty," she says. David says he can help and sits with her on a gurney. He kisses her! "I can make you feel alive again," he says and she kisses him back! Angie sees them!
At Fusion, Amanda is watching Emma. She tells Greenlee that now is the time for her to step up and regain control. Greens says she never relinquished control! Bianca walks in and says everyone is reporting to Erica! Bianca says Erica will be back soon and in the meantime, she will take over for Erica. Greenlee says she can run things on her own; Binks says Kendall's interests have to be looked after! "I need to do whatever I can to make sure Kendall's life and her company are exactly as she left it," Binks says. Amanda says the in-fighting is ruining Fusion. Greenlee says they can all work together. She suggests that Amanda run the day-to-day office work and report to both Binks and Greenlee. No one notices Emma tearing a news article about Annie from the local paper and putting it in her backpack. Amanda goes to check on a few things. Greens tells Binks she won't let Erica take over her company. Bianca says Erica is just helping Kendall.
At Cambias Reese delivers a package to Zach from Kendall! Inside Zach finds an autographed, framed Detroit Redwings jersey. She hands him the card, which basically says that his family loves him and needs him. He says the gift is typical Kendall and perfect; Reese asks what the gift is for and Zach says there is no occasion. He worries that he doesn't know what will make Kendall happy, though. Reese says, according to Bianca, he is perfect for Kendall. "But she was missing something and I don't know what it was," he says and wishes he had done more for Kendall in the past. Trying to comfort him, Reese tells him about the keystone that holds things together in buildings. She says he is Kendall's keystone. Zach asks what he is supposed to do when the doctors say there is no hope. She doesn't have an answer. "How do I tell my kids that their mother isn't coming home?" he asks. She tells him to bring Kendall home so she can be at peace. Angry, Zach says he isn't going to treat Kendall as if she is dying. Bianca walks in and asks what is going on. Reese says they were talking about Kendall. Zach walks out. Reese says she is okay and tells Bianca everything. "Not until now did I understand how grand their love was," Reese says and defends Zach, saying he wasn't angry he was lost. Reese says she feels the same way about Binks; Binks echoes her thoughts. Bianca says everything will be okay when Kendall wakes up. Reese tells her about the doctor's new prognosis and Bianca is shattered. Zach returns and apologizes. Bianca tells Zach they need to bring Kendall home; he says he already arranged it and he knows being around her family will wake Kendall up!
In the mental ward, Ryan finds Aidan standing outside Annie's room. Aidan says he was looking in on her; Ryan wonders what he is really up to and reminds Aidan that his silence in the beginning led to Annie's breakdown and attacks! Aidan says he would never put Emma or Erica in danger; Ryan asks if Aidan would put him in danger! Aidan walks off. Ryan goes into Annie's room. Annie asks about her wedding ring but instead of answering, Ryan asks who helped her kidnap Aidan. Annie says Richie did! She rambles on about Richie's plans and the fun they were going to have with Emma. Ryan says Richie is dead and she killed him! "Prove it!" she says. He asks who helped her plan everything and brings up Aidan. Confused, Annie says Aidan isn't her husband and becomes agitated. A nurse comes in and Annie freaks. She begs Ryan to stay with her and keep the doctors away. He goes outside as she screams, "Ryan, I'm your wife, don't let them hurt me!" The nurse gives her another injection. A while later Aidan walks in and asks if Ryan suspects anything!
At the boathouse, Brot is packed up and ordering Colby around, hoping to get out of town before Frankie talks to Taylor. Colby asks why he waited until the last minute to leave. She says he has to see Taylor first and Brot turns away. Jake arrives! Colby slips away as Jake tells Brot that he shouldn't have faked his death. He says Taylor deserved more; Brot says Taylor has moved on and it doesn't matter. Jake insists that Taylor hasn't moved on at all but Brot doesn't believe him so Jake tells him about Taylor's strong need to get back to the war zone even though she was still hurt. Brot turns away but Jake stops him, saying that if he leaves – again – it will kill any hope Taylor has for a future. "I don't want her anymore," Brot says but Jake doesn't believe him. He asks what Brot is hiding; Brot says he still loves Taylor. Just then Frankie arrives with Taylor!
Greenlee takes Emma back to the penthouse. Amanda calls to ask about a business decision; Greenlee says to use her judgment. She sees Emma pull the article from her backpack and Emma asks if there were really police there! Greenlee tries to distract Emma with talk of winter fun. Ryan returns as she is explaining that Annie is sick and tired just like Emma gets sick and tired when she has a cold. She says Annie will always be with Emma, even when she isn't actually there. She hugs the little girl; Ryan smiles at her. Emma goes upstairs to make a card for Annie. Greenlee shows Ryan the article and explains what she was doing. She says Emma deserves to know the truth – not his candy-coated version of events. Ryan says no matter what happens with Annie she will always be Emma's mom.
