Zach, Ryan, and Erica plot, Brot and Natalia get closer, and David gets his way.
David meets Liza in ConFusion - she has the contracts - Amanda will undergo artificial insemination, and David will get joint custody of both children. They join Jake and Amanda, and Liza advises them all to read the contracts carefully. Amanda looks at hers and blurts, "You have got to be kidding me!" There is a clause that Amanda and Jake can't make love until after the baby is born, and one that Amanda must live with David until then as well. Amanda and Jake are outraged! David says he's protecting his interests - Jake is a man who tried to tell him his child was dead. Amanda tells David she's not signing it! David says fine, maybe he'll reconsider the whole situation! Jake and Amanda storm away, and Liza confronts David. He is confident that Amanda will come to her senses! He looks over at them. Jake tells Amanda maybe they should be grateful David's not asking for more - he suggests they treat it like a business deal - he can wait nine months. David tells Liza she might just be jealous that he knows how to get things done. Liza says she hopes that keeps him warm at night. Amanda and Jake walk back over and Amanda tells Liza to send the contract to Wildwind - she'll sign it there later. As Amanda leaves with Jake, making it obvious they're going to make love, Liza smirks at David, saying, "Yeah, you're really good at this!" Liza gets up and says she's going home to take a long shower. David tells her he's not all bad - he really wants the child so someone will love him - love and family are all that matters.
Adam walks up to Emma at the Halloween party and says hello. She stares at him, stunned. Suddenly Little Adam spots Adam and hollers, "Hi Grandpa!" Nearby, Annie arrives and looks around for Emma - so do Ryan and Erica. Ryan questions Annie about why she's looking for Emma! Adam sits on the bench with Little Adam and they discuss Stuart - Adam says he'd switch places with him in a minute! Emma listens. As Annie spots Adam and the kids, Ryan threatens her. Ryan then heads over to Emma, and Erica asks Annie, "What are you so afraid is going to happen?" They join Ryan, Emma, and Adam. Emma tells them she won the costume contest. Annie takes a moment with Emma, who tells her she doesn't think Adam meant to hurt his brother. Adam and Annie leave, and Ryan tells Erica he doesn't know what just happened, but he doesn't like it.
In the cabin, Natalia tells Brot his scars don't bother her - she just looked away because he was undressing. He expresses disbelief, so Natalia admits that the scars bothered her when she first met him - but now that she knows him, she just sees him! They talk about the dance-a-thon, and how she was annoyed by him joining the force. She tries to downplay her behavior. When Brot reaches for a sponge, Natalia reaches at the same time. She tells him to let her do it, then begins sponging his back. Brot tells Natalia what he sees in her - she's independent, sets goals, and pushes herself - and she's hot too. Natalia then tells Brot that he is pretty amazing to handle the raw deal he got in the war, and he's brave, confident and generous. Just as they are about to share a very close moment, the spark plugs fall on the floor! Natalia realizes he took them from her car! She realizes that Jesse put Brot up to it and tells him to walk back to Pine Valley!
Zach is at the Chandler Mansion having a confrontation with Scott. Zach wonders if Scott thinks it's right that Kendall is being punished for a crime he knows she didn't commit. Zach asks Scott what his father, Stuart, would think of him keeping Kendall from her children when she's innocent? Scott threatens him with security, but Zach keeps bringing up Stuart, telling Scott now that he's gone the good in him is fading away. Zach accuses Scott of covering for Annie because he wants to sleep with her!
Bailey and Colby are at Liza's house looking at new shoes Colby bought. Colby asks about the baby - Bailey says parenting isn't what she thought it would be. Bailey asks who she's going to the Halloween party with - Colby says her 'default' boy, Pete. Bailey then tells Colby about her ex, Damon, who ignored her once he found out she was pregnant. When Bailey expresses frustration with the baby, Colby says it might be better for her to just leave! Bailey says Stuart is her son, and Colby apologizes. Bailey tells Colby that she sees so much of Damon in the baby. While Colby goes to put on her costume, Bailey looks at her phone, which is showing Damon's name and the words 'trick or treat'.
Adam and Annie walk into their home just in time to hear Zach accuse Scott of wanting Annie. Adam says it's a baseless accusation. Zach asks about the wedding being called off. Annie says she's marrying Adam as planned on the weekend. Zach replies that he'll see her then, and leaves. Scott warns Annie she shouldn't have bluffed Zach - Annie says she didn't - the wedding is back on! Annie asks to speak to Adam alone - she tells him that Emma seems to have changed her opinion about him after seeing him at the park. Annie says she loves him, and they're going to be married. When he leaves the room, Annie goes to find Scott.
Still in the park, Emma tells Ryan that Adam was crying. Erica feels he's close to the edge. Zach appears and says the wedding's back on - they've only got a week to get the truth! Zach also tells them that he feels Scott is hiding something too. Erica says they have to take Adam to the breaking point. Zach knows what he has to do. Ryan says, "So do we."
Out on the terrace, Annie tells Scott she thought it was game over at the Halloween party, but Emma overheard Adam talking to Little Adam and saw how sad he was - she felt bad for him! Scott says it doesn't matter what happened at the park - it may not be the best thing to do to keep this hidden. Annie begs him to keep quiet! Scott thinks Adam has been very frail lately - he may be figuring it out anyway. Just inside the door from them, Adam sees a sign that appears to be written in blood - it says, "Help me, Adam!" Adam gasps, "Stuart!" As he runs out to the terrace to get Scott and Annie, Zach wipes off the writing! When Adam returns to show Annie and Scott what he saw, the spot is blank!
Jake and Amanda make love hungrily at Jake's place. She says in 24 hours this would be breach of contract. He says the only contract he cares about is the one he made to love her forever.
At the Yacht Club, Erica asks Ryan if he really thinks this will work. Ryan takes a brief call and then tells her Stuart will make his appearance on Halloween as discussed - it's all set.
