A case is re-opened, Randi becomes overwrought, and a plan goes awry!
Frankie arrives at his door and struggles to get the key out of his pocket. Once inside, he tells Randi he's getting better with the keys, but she is crying. Randi apologizes, but Frankie says it was his baby too - he thinks she should talk to someone. Randi is hostile, and tells him to stop pressuring her to get pregnant again - they can't replace the baby they lost. Frankie says she's also hiding something - a secret with his father! He says that his mother has been noticing things about his father. Randi is appalled that he and Angie think she is involved in a secret with Jesse. Frankie says he's not accusing her of anything, but Randi is defensive, and says she has to get out of there!
Madison is at the casino and is in a confrontation with the casino manager because she is out of money. Jesse comes in and Madison says he'll vouch for her. Madison tells Jesse to inform the manager that she's got loads of money coming to her. Jesse pulls her aside and says he's got better things to do than go around cleaning up her drunken messes. Madison threatens to tell about Randi if Jesse doesn't make the insurance company pay up. Jesse tells her to go take a nap and delete his number from her phone!
Angie, at the hospital, is visited by an official who was intrigued by her comments on the Henry North autopsy - he wants to go over her findings privately. As she leads him to a room, David Hayward turns around - he's been listening. Angie speaks with the man, who tells her that based on her remarks, the DCPD will take over the case and re-open it. When they exit the room, David is waiting outside, and asks Angie who she's trying to railroad this time?!
At Taylor's place, Opal is bouncing Trevor on her knee and Tad is packing his things. Taylor wonders if they're doing the right thing. Tad says they have a great plan, thanks to Opal. Taylor says she's not sure she can say goodbye! Opal reassures Taylor, and says that the baby will have a wonderful life. Opal leaves, telling Tad to text her when it's time. Taylor tells Tad she's gotten used to hanging out with him and the baby. Tad says she's not getting rid of him! They have a conversation about where they stand - he says that he never considered hanging out with her to be work. She smiles, and he says he's been waiting a long time for her. They kiss.
Amanda is at the hospital with Jake. She says she came to see him because there is something he needs to know about their son. She tells him that Opal found out about Trevor. She explains that Tad brought the baby to the house. Jake flips out, saying Opal is the town gossip! Amanda says it will be okay - they have a new plan courtesy of Opal. She says Tad and Taylor are going to drop the baby off in the alley next to the church where Opal volunteers - she will 'happen' to find him. Amanda says that she and Jake can then adopt the baby. Jake is unsettled that this is happening tonight, however. Opal appears and tells them to keep it down - remember who runs the hospital. They all bicker about doing this so soon, instead of waiting all the months Jake had suggested. Amanda pleads with Jake - she needs him to be on board with this. He looks into her eyes and says he's on board. They embrace.
Frankie arrives at the casino looking for Jesse. He notices Madison, who is drunkenly careening around the room. She spots him and asks him to come and gamble with her - if he has some extra cash. Frankie tells her to go away. Just then, Jesse appears and asks what is up with him and Madison North. Frankie asks what's up with him and Randi?! Jesse says he'll tell him what he told Angie - he's doing what needs to be done. He advises Frankie to go home and take care of his wife. Frankie says Jesse is ignoring him. Jesse admits it, and says he has a job to get back to. Frankie leaves, and Madison accosts Jesse - saying she's not getting her insurance payout - the DCPD is re-opening the investigation into Henry's death thanks to some doctor at Pine Valley Hospital! Jesse is stunned! Madison taunts him, saying he's a professional - he really should be able to cover his tracks better than this!
Randi arrives at the hospital and angrily confronts Angie about suggesting to Frankie that she and Jesse are sharing some big secret. She says she will be sure to keep her distance from her husband, and asks Angie to just keep her conspiracy theories to herself!
Jake and Amanda arrive at Taylor's house. Amanda tells Tad that Opal is at the hospital awaiting his text. Jake takes Tad into the kitchen and asks him how this happened - social services could descend and everything could go wrong! Tad tries to reassure him. Taylor asks Amanda if she can visit the baby after they 'adopt' him. Amanda says she can.
Opal runs into Randi in the hospital and they discuss the loss of her baby, and Opal ends up reading Randi's palm. Opal says she sees something good coming Randi's way. Randi asks if she thinks it might be another baby. Opal just says everything will turn out just fine. Randi says she's leaving - there's somewhere she should be right now. She passes Angie, and says that she needs to go - she let Opal read her palm and she shouldn't have! Joe appears, and tries to talk to Opal, who has just received a text from Tad. She tries frantically to get away from Joe, but he insists on giving her an exam - right then!
Amanda and Jake are at the hospital. She reminds him that this is their alibi so David doesn't get suspicious when the baby is found. They stage an argument about looking into fertility treatments, as David comes along and watches with amusement! Amanda stalks off, and Jake asks David if he thinks it's funny that they're discussing fertility options, and that Amanda can't have children. David sobers, and says it isn't funny, and that there are plenty of options - they could always adopt.
In the alley beside the church, Tad and Taylor settle the baby in the bassinet. Taylor is worried, but Tad assures her that Opal will be there within minutes and they'll be right around the corner from the baby. They hear a pair of shoes on the pavement in the alley, and Tad says to Taylor that Opal was right on time. Suddenly, Tad gets a phone call from Amanda telling him that Opal is tied up with Joe at the hospital, so whatever he does, don't leave the baby! Tad is horrified!
Frankie pays Angie a visit at home. She says she had an argument with Randi, and he says that he had a run-in with Jesse - and Madison North was there! Angie says this is only going to get worse - they're re-opening the North death as a possible homicide! They speculate on whether Jesse could have had something to do with his death - or be covering for the woman who killed him! Angie vows to find Jesse and get some answers!
