Tad and Taylor have a moment, Ryan has doubts, and Aidan provides an alibi!
At home, Kendall looks at the headline of the newspaper, which is about Annie trying to kill Adam. The doorbell rings - it's Erica, asking if she's ready for a hard day at the office! Kendall isn't up for Fusion - she's worrying about Annie going to prison for a crime she committed. Erica, frustrated, tells her to stop saying that - she is not responsible. Kendall is sure she blocked out the truth. Erica tells her to let it be over, and says, "Let's go back to work. Let's go back to business!"
In the judge's chambers, Liza attempts to get the judge to drop the charges against Kendall, since Annie is so obviously the one who shot Stuart. ADA Willis argues the point. The judge wants Jesse Hubbard to continue his investigation, telling Liza that the best he can do is put off Kendall's trial to allow for more time.
Adam shows up at the police station to see Annie. She is relieved at first, but then seems to think that he still doesn't believe in her innocence. Annie struggles to convince Adam that the things he's thinking about her aren't true. Adam shouts, "No more lies!" She says at first, she considered Adam a friend, but then she fell in love with him - he makes her feel secure - she doesn't want that feeling to end. She kisses him and tells him to go, so she can remember him just like this.
Ryan tells Emma that he's so sorry he didn't believe her. He asks for her forgiveness, and they embrace. Zach appears and Ryan steps out to see him. They discuss Annie and Kendall, and are still at odds. Ryan says that Zach needs to stay away from Emma, and also points out that Kendall is certain she shot Stuart. Zach says, "Not a chance. She's innocent." Ryan says that he is ill about not believing Emma when all along she's been telling the truth! He says Zach is just trying to control everyone to get what he wants - he's not helping him anymore! Zach says Ryan professed to love Kendall and now he's accusing her of murder - he doesn't know her at all!
Jack greets Adam after he comes out of the room with Annie. Jack needles him about having a rendezvous with his accused killer. Jack wonders if this is a lover's spat, and whether Adam truly thinks she's guilty?! Jackson goes in to see Annie, who protests that she's innocent. She tells him that Zach did this to protect Kendall. Jack muses that they also covered up the fact that Kendall was driving when Greenlee was run off the road - he agrees to be Annie's lawyer! Annie urges Jack to go look in Kendall's eyes - she has the eyes of a killer! Annie says she should know, since she has them too!
At Taylor's house, Tad presents her with a chocolate bar as congratulations for surviving the night with the baby. They laugh about Amanda being a 'burglar', and Taylor's broken television. There is a knock at the door and Tad goes to hide the baby. Taylor opens the door to Brot, who says they need to talk about the baby! As Taylor looks shocked, Brot tells her that Randi had a miscarriage. Taylor exhales with relief, and says how awful that is. Brot wants her to go with him to help comfort Frankie and Randi. As she struggles to make an excuse, Tad walks out in his bathrobe! Brot quickly leaves! Tad apologizes as Taylor freaks out about Brot's feelings being hurt. Tad apologizes again, and they get into a relationship discussion. Tad goes to get dressed and then Taylor watches as he talks to the baby. She says that she is seeing him in a different light - and kisses him!
Jesse and Liza are discussing the case outside of the judge's chambers. Jesse says that Kendall may still have to go to trial. Suddenly Zach appears, saying that's not going to happen. Liza asks Zach why Kendall seemed mortified when she found out that Annie was arrested, instead of happy. She asks him why he's framing Annie?!
At Fusion, Kendall says she can't just ignore that she killed a man, and Zach pinned it on someone else! Erica says that Annie Lavery is going to prison for what she did - Kendall needs to refocus! Kendall says she's going to the police station right now, but Erica protests that she can't do that - she can't live without her! Erica sobs that they've found something wonderful, and she's not prepared to give that up! Jackson comes in. He announces that he has a new client - Annie Lavery! Erica flips, asking how he could do this - how could he take her side against Kendall? She then spits that this is payback - he lost his daughter and now wants to make sure that she loses hers! Jackson denies it, and Kendall leaves. Jackson tells Erica that Annie sent him to look in Kendall's eyes, but one look in Erica's tells him everything he needs to know!
Aidan arrives at the station to see Annie. He tells her he can't help her anymore. She asks him to do it for Emma. Aidan calls her on needing him again now that she no longer has Adam Chandler. She asks him to just hear her out. She tells him her theory, and wants Aidan to prove that Zach set her up. As Aidan exits, Kendall arrives at the station, and slips in to see Annie! Annie tells her she knows she didn't shoot at Adam, and that she didn't kill Stuart either! She tells her to enjoy her time with her family - it's about to run out! Jesse appears and asks Kendall what she's doing there - she says she has something to tell him.
Adam arrives at the hospital looking to speak with Emma, but Ryan stops him. Adam tells Ryan that back on that fateful night it was him against the world, and that's how Annie feels now! Ryan is intrigued that Adam thinks Annie is innocent. Erica happens upon their conversation, but Adam makes a quick exit. Ryan asks Erica, "What if we are playing God with Annie's life?" Erica says it's justice. Ryan and Erica bicker about it, and Erica says this is what they can, and must, do!
Jackson shows up at the courthouse where Liza and Zach are still talking. He announces that he's representing Annie. Jack tells Zach that he knows he framed Annie, and he's not going to get away with it! Jack lays into Zach, bringing up the Greenlee coverup as well. As Jack hisses that Zach framed Annie too, Aidan appears and says, "You're wrong. Zach wasn't there - he was with me!"
