Zach is fed up, Ryan finds a way to say goodbye, Babe covers for JR's plans, JR confronts Adam and then Petey, Erica gets bad news about her television show and Annie deals with the miscarriage.
Kendall and Zach wake up. She asks if he blames her for the loss of the baby. He says he doesn't but when Kendall starts in on Annie again, Zach changes his tune. He says that even now, even after she's lost the baby, Kendall can't give Annie a break. Kendall goes on and on about how Annie is using Ryan. Zach leaves the room.
At home, Greenlee talks to Aidan about Annie and Ryan. She says their situation is exactly why she doesn't want to have children; she says she can't face the possibility of losing another baby.
Ryan arrives at the hospital as Annie is being released. Babe and JR are there, supporting her. They walk out for a moment and Ryan asks what he can do; Annie says there is nothing. He keeps pressing her, wanting to do something; Annie sadly says she'll be fine. Babe and JR return to take Annie back to the mansion. Ryan watches them go.
Ryan goes to work. Zach is waiting and gives him some paperwork but Ryan can't concentrate on anything except Annie. He finally tells Zach that he needs to find a way to say goodbye to the baby and that he wants Annie to do it with him. Zach asks why he is still at work.
At the mansion, JR and Babe settle Annie in and then leave for work. On their way out, JR promises Babe that Adam won't ruin things for them and that he'll push Adam right out of the deal. Babe asks if Adam is really trying to submarine them; JR is certain he is. Corrinna brings Emma inside. Emma proudly says she helped change Jenny's diaper so now she can help with Annie's baby, too. Annie is crying with Emma when Ryan arrives. They agree to tell her together. Annie explains that the baby in her tummy got sick and went to heaven. Emma worries that she'll go to heaven, too. Ryan reassures her and promises that they will all stay together. He asks Emma to help them say goodbye to the baby. He suggests planting a tree in the park in memory of the baby.
At the Yacht Club Erica meets with Lou, the executive producer of New Beginnings and several other shows. She says she is ready to come back to her host position. Lou stuns her by saying there is a new mandate at the station and New Beginnings is in trouble because viewership has dropped! Adam arrives as Erica tries to convince Lou to stand by her show. He gleefully watches. JR arrives and says he has lost faith in Babe and that Adam should cut his losses. Adam says there may be another way. They agree to meet at the mansion later. JR leaves but watches Adam for a few minutes from the hall. Adam eavesdrops on Erica again as Lou says there is only one way New Beginnings will survive - if Erica agrees to turn it into a reality/dating show. Erica turns him down flat and says she will prove that New Beginnings is still viable. Lou says Elton gave him the ideas; Erica says Elton would never do that and threatens to call him. Lou gives in and says she has until the end of sweeps to bring up the ratings. He leaves. Adam comes over and tries to make nice with Erica by offering coffee. He sits down and tells Erica that Jack could be the answer to her prayers. She tries to sling coffee at him but Adam catches her. She storms off.
At Fusion Amanda, Randi, Kendall and Greenlee go over some of the Bella figures, excited to learn that the new fragrance is going well. Kendall still can't be truly happy for Amanda and Babe, though, and says over and over that they may fall flat on their faces. Amanda brings up another problem - to cover the orders, they need more production and she is tapped out. Greenlee says Fusion will cover the difference but Kendall refuses to help! Amanda and Greenlee call her on it. Babe arrives. Kendall says she won't approve the doubling of the order because it isn't enough; she says they have to quadruple it! Babe and Amanda excitedly get to work. Greenlee corners Kendall and asks what this is all about. Kendall says she is tired of taking the blame when things go wrong. Greenlee asks about Zach. Kendall brings up Josh and says she and Zach are in the middle of a rough patch. She isn't sure they can make it back. Kendall takes some papers to Babe's desk and finds her phone - with a text message from JR about the Fusion takeover on the screen!
Greenlee goes to Zach's office and asks about Kendall. Zach is very quiet and noncommittal, especially when Greenlee tells him to try harder to make things right with his wife. Zach says he is tired of coming in third or fourth in Kendall's life; Greenlee asks him to give Kendall more time; she points out that she acted the same way until Aidan came along. Kendall calls Greenlee but Greens ignores the call. Zach wonders when their life - kids and all - will be enough for his wife.
Babe returns to the main office and Kendall confronts her with the text message. Babe says she and JR are investigating Adam's actions because they are trying to save the company. Kendall tells Babe to get JR out of the investigation business and let her take care of things alone. She leaves.
Petey sneaks into the mansion as JR arrives home. He asks what is going on between Adam and Pete but Petey clams up. He tries convincing JR that he was sneaking in to see Colby but JR doesn't buy it. He tells Petey to stop dropping by unexpectedly or things are going to go badly for him. Petey leaves and calls Adam. He says the new Bella shipment will be in today!
Babe arrives at the mansion and says Kendall knows that Adam is trying to take over Fusion but that they are likely in the clear. JR says this could be the help they needed.
Kendall goes straight to Erica's and says Adam is causing problems.
Ryan and Annie arrive at the park with Emma to plant the tree. They each put a shovel full of earth over the roots and then water it together before saying a prayer. After, Ryan and Annie play with Emma.
