Samuel, Tad and Adam try to turn Jesse's opinion of the kids, Tad realizes how involved Krystal already is, Kendall tells Ryan they have to find out what the key opens, Aidan saves Greenlee's life and Annie has an ultrasound.
Jesse reads the kids their rights again; Angie tells the kids to tell the truth. Dre screams that he was driving but so do the girls. Samuel arrives, talking to his campaign manager, and asks what is going on. Krystal and Tad follow on his heels. JR and Adam fill everyone in. Samuel asks to speak to Dre alone; Jesse plays the tough cop and asks if they understand their rights. Tad tries to step in but Jesse won't give in. He and Detective Perry lead the kids away. Adam calls Barry again. Krystal tells Tad what she knew about the plan and JR tells Tad about Adam getting rid of the car. Krystal mentions that Petey knows, too. Tad asks Krystal who was really driving the car; rather than answering, she goes to comfort Angie. Angie is near hysterics, wondering if she drove Cass to confess. Across the room, Samuel plays the father card, insisting that he can get through to Dre and help them find the real driver. Adam bullies his way into Colby's holding cell. Jesse and Angie try once more to get through to Cassandra but she won't tell them anything.
Samuel goes into Dre's holding cell. He says he'll get the charges dropped and make everything go away. Dre stops him, says he really was driving and that he can't let the girls take the fall.
Adam and JR try to get through to Colby but she won't tell them anything more about the night of the hit-and-run. JR and Adam inform her that they can get her out of the mess if she'll just tell the truth. Jesse comes in and sends the Chandler men packing.
In the hall, Tad asks Krystal why she didn't tell him everything from the beginning. She hesitates and then says this isn't the place for an argument. Tad says they'll talk at home. When Adam leaves the holding area, Tad tries to convince him that they should work together. Adam won't listen. Samuel corners Jesse, who tells him about the surveillance photos. He suggests that Jesse put the kids together, alone, in a room and Dre will make them tell the truth. Jesse decides to take a chance. Detective Perry puts all the kids together. Dre tells the girls that they have to stop lying and the girls try to change his mind but Dre resolves to take the blame on himself. He swears he will be okay and leaves the room. Together, they tell the whole truth about that night. Jesse frees the girls but then reads Dre his rights. Sam calls Jackson for help. The campaign manager calls to see what kind of damage control they can do; Sam says it doesn't matter. Just then, Jesse arrests Adam for obstruction of justice because he got rid of the car!
In the wrecked car, Annie fiddles with her appearance so she will look hurt. She realizes Ryan isn't calling her back, fakes another asthma attack and calls Zach! He doesn't answer either so she leaves another message. She tells the baby that Zach will help them - even though Ryan is nowhere to be found. Just then, Zach arrives so Annie fakes a cough and pretends to be really hurt. She hears ambulances. He promises she and the baby will be okay.
Aidan and Greenlee are making love when he smells something. He realizes the gas line is open and tells her to get out of the penthouse. She opens the door but won't leave while Aidan tries to fix the open line. With a wet sponge, he tests the line and sees that the gas line is fixed. They leave so the apartment can air out.
Ryan tells Kendall the key doesn't mean anything but Kendall is certain that the key is important and wants to find out what it opens. She tells him the key could tell them who the real father of Annie's baby is. This angers Ryan. Kendall insists that Annie has secrets and her secrets are more dangerous than his secrets! Aidan and Greenlee walk in and she asks what secrets they're talking about. Ryan clams up. Aidan tells them about the gas leak when Kendall wonders why they are at the office. Ryan takes Aidan aside and asks about the investigation. He asks Aidan to look into the key! Zach calls, tells Kendall to get Ryan to the hospital and hangs up. She tells Ryan that Annie is okay but shaken up and he hurries out. Greenlee advises Kendall to go after him. While she is gathering a few things, Greenlee chatters on about moving in to the Yacht Club or his office for a while because her place is cursed. She asks what Ryan was saying to him but Aidan won't tell her.
At the hospital, Zach and Jake keep Annie calm. While Zach is waiting for Ryan, Annie asks Jake about ultrasounds. He says they can do one once Ryan arrives. He walks in a few minutes later and Jake has the equipment brought in. They watch as their baby appears on the screen. After seeing the ultrasound, Ryan leaves to check his voice mail. He hears the message from Annie and calls Aidan to tell him to forget about researching the key. He returns to Annie's side as Jake takes her vital signs.
After talking to Ryan, Aidan wonders what he can do to fill his days now. Greenlee suggests days filled with lovemaking - and then says they should go to Vegas!
Zach catches Kendall in the hall before she can barge into Annie's room. He tells her to give them some space. Kendall realizes she is about to go too far in Zach's mind and backs off. But, she insists that Annie is hiding something and they need to find out what. Kendall asks why Annie called him in the first place. "I'm reliable," he quips. Kendall says this new needy Annie isn't the same independent woman who arrived in Pine Valley. Kendall tells him about the hidden key; Zach says a hidden key doesn't mean anything at all. From the hall, they watch Ryan and Annie have the ultrasound. Kendall realizes Ryan is in love, but with his child and not Annie. Zach says he believes her fears about Annie!
