Lovers and Other Strangers... Wednesday, July 16 2008

Annie believes Ryan loves her again, Kendall and Zach argue about Annie, Dre promises to protect Cassandra, Greenlee waxes philosophical about life and Erica learns she will be released from prison soon.

Annie arrives home. Ryan tells her about rescuing Greenlee and recovering his memories. She is very excited and believes this is a very good sign. Ryan doesn’t tell her that he is now in love with Greenlee. She realizes he is holding back and asks what is going on. He thinks about Greenlee but can’t tell her because Emma comes downstairs. She says she just saw Richie on television. Annie and Ryan explain that Richie is in heaven with her kitten Mittens. When Emma goes back upstairs, Annie wonders if they should have lied about Richie. Ryan says it won’t hurt anything. Annie says she isn’t feeling well and when Ryan holds her, says everything will be okay now. She kisses him. Zach calls and tells her to meet him at Cambias in 20 minutes! Annie makes an excuse to Ryan about work. She asks him to get Emma to camp and leaves.

At home, Kendall goes off on a tangent to Zach about Annie’s weird actions lately. He defends Annie, saying she has been under a lot of pressure. Kendall says those pressures aren’t that bad. Zach says she isn’t upset about Annie - she still has doubts about his own innocence! Kendall swears she believes he is innocent but Zach still has questions. He says he is the one who beat up Richie and Kendall isn’t surprised. He says he wanted to kill Richie and he could have but Richie was already dead. He tells her to stop beating up on Annie. She says she’ll try. Kendall leaves. Zach calls a friend.

Samuel meets Erica in the prison. He mentions getting her out on early release and doing another interview but she thinks this is a bad idea. She says his polling numbers will plummet even more. Sam keeps pressing her and Erica finally says she would love to be out of prison. Sam prepares to leave; Erica tells him how excited she is. He leaves. Erica turns to the guard and excitedly says, “I’m free!” She talks about spending time alone, taking bubble baths and enjoying her time out from behind bars. The guard brings her back to a holding cell. Another prisoner is waiting and angrily confronts Erica about ruining her life!

At the Chandler mansion, JR spots Colby near Adam’s alcohol cart and overreacts. He tells her how bad alcohol is, especially for Chandler kids. Colby swears she was just getting water but JR doesn’t believe her. When JR takes a phone call, Babe tells Colby that she can always talk to her, even if she doesn’t feel she can tell JR or Adam. Colby thanks her. JR returns and Babe tells him that Colby is upset about something other than drinking. JR insists that she is just scared straight. They leave. Alone, Colby pours a glass of vodka and gulps it down!

At BJ’s, Dre tells Cassandra that if worse comes to worst, she has to say she wasn’t in the car that night. He says he will take the full blame! Cassandra recognizes Ryan when he walks in and freaks out about anyone finding out. Dre holds her hand and swears he’ll make sure she isn’t hurt.

Ryan sees Kendall at the counter at BJ’s. She sees he is distracted and asks what happened. He tells her about the sailing accident and recovering the rest of his memories. Kendall is thrilled for him. He apologizes for following her around the last few months; she says it was no big deal. They talk some more and Kendall realizes that Ryan doesn’t love Annie now - he loves Greenlee! He won’t admit it at first. She wants him to immediately go to Greenlee. Ryan says he tried but Greenlee is in love with Aidan now. He says telling Greenlee will just hurt her. He makes her promise to keep this secret.

Annie arrives at Zach’s office. She asks what is going on and he asks about her wedding ring!

Jake arrives home and begins talking about moving out. Greenlee and Aidan convince him to stay. Jake takes a sip of coffee and spits it out because it tastes so bad. He goes to his room. Greenlee asks Aidan to move in and he says they should buy a house! He says it could be their place for a fresh start. She is intrigued but hesitant. He convinces her a house is a great idea. Jake comes back downstairs. She tells both guys how full her life is and how full she wants it to stay. They mimic her throughout her speech. Aidan leaves for the gym; Jake skips the workout. Greenlee watches him and tries to figure out who Jake should date. Jake grabs a towel and goes to the gym with Aidan. Kendall arrives and says she has to talk - about Ryan!

At the gym, Ryan pumps iron and tries to forget about Greenlee.
