Cassandra, Colby and Dre make a pact, Angie tells Annie and Ryan how Richie really died, Jesse questions Zach and Samuel fights his attraction to Erica.
Samuel visits Erica in prison. They prepare for an interview and flirt all the way through the interview. Erica tells them how wonderful Samuel has been since she was incarcerated; he says she isn't the woman he thought she was. Sam brings up the incident in solitary; Erica says Sam helped her through many things. The reporter keeps asking Sam questions about Erica, making her uncomfortable. She says he should start talking about himself and prompts him to tell the viewers some little known facts. He says he was a singer but wasn't good at it. The report asks if Sam will be her next co-host; Erica says he won’t have time once he's elected! The reporter finishes up and leaves. Sam says he'll be out of the picture for a while because of his campaign. Erica says he shouldn’t leave Dre alone. He says the campaign needs him but suggests that she come along. Erica says she is a liability to him but he disagrees. The guard comes to take Erica back to her cell.
At the hospital, Frankie comes in to see Randi. He says Fletcher, the pimp, is being released and he won’t release Randi until he knows she is safe. She insists she will be fine and pouts. Frankie says he can't say no to her now and makes her laugh. Angie walks by and watches them for a while. Randi asks again when she can be released. He brings up her sister and Randi tries to leave on her own but can’t walk on her own. Frankie catches her just before she falls. He settles her back in bed and they argue again about when she can be released. Frankie won’t release her and she tells him to get out. Then, she thanks him. Frankie continues to the hall and runs into Angie. He says things are going well but she is worried.
In the morgue, Angie tells Annie and Ryan that the autopsy will take a while and they should leave. Annie goes to get water and Ryan tells Angie that Annie is having real trouble with Richie's death. Angie offers to talk to Annie later. She leaves. Ryan suggests again that they leave but Annie won't go. She insists that she has to be there for Richie. Angie returns a short time later because the autopsy is over. She says Richie was hit by a car but that it didn't kill him. She says Richie was killed by blunt force trauma to the head. Annie is more unnerved than ever. Angie leaves. Annie remembers the last time she saw Richie, when her tire went flat on the highway. Richie was fixing the tire and said he would tell Ryan everything! Annie hit him with a tire iron! When he wouldn't wake up, she drove off in her car. Ryan brings Annie back to the present and asks how she is. She insists she is fine. She says she'll understand if Ryan wants to leave her. He says he won't leave. He has a memory flash of the accident when Greenlee lost their child. He kisses her and takes her home.
At the Chandler manse, Colby can't believe they may have run over Richie. Dre worries that they should have went back to the scene instead of taking Colby home. Colby is more worried about Corrinna's angry text message than running over Richie. Dre and Cassandra turn on her, saying this is all her fault because she got drunk. Dre says it could have happened when he was digging in his backpack instead of watching the road. Colby says Richie deserved to die, no matter what happened. Dre says he will admit to the hit-and-run and take all the blame. Cassandra and Colby won't hear of it. Cass asks if Adam could help them but Colby doesn't think he can. Colby says they have to go to Jesse but Cass refuses. “We can't tell anyone,” Cassandra says! Dre reluctantly agrees with them.
Jesse calls Zach to the police station to question him about finding Richie's body. Zach learns he is a person of interest in the case! An officer interrupts them but Jesse sends him off quickly. Zach tells Jesse again that he didn't kill Richie; Jesse wonders why Zach isn't more worried about the situation. He keeps questioning Zach, hoping to trip him up but Zach's story doesn't change at all. Angie calls to check in so Jesse leaves the interrogation room. She tells him about the autopsy results. Jesse returns to Zach and says he is free to go - as soon as they talk about the beat-down Zach put on Richie. Jesse asks about the guard on duty that night, who suddenly retired to Costa Rica. Zach says it was coincidence. Jesse asks for access to Zach's financial records but Zach won’t turn anything over. Jesse asks again what Zach did to Richie. He tells Jesse to get a warrant next time they need to talk and walks out.
