Zach finds Richie's body, Erica and Opal fool a prison guard, Dre, Cassandra and Colby hit a bump in the road and Jesse begins investigating Richie's death.
Opal arrives at the prison, shows Erica Richie's tarot card and asks for advice. She is worried that Richie may not be the person in danger from the death card. This worries Erica, too, and she wonders how she can get a call in to Kendall. It's after visiting and calling hours and Opal says she has no more favors left. Erica decides to use the tarot cards! They distract a guard with a tarot reading and Erica dashing to the phone. She is relieved to hear that Kendall is okay but is still worried about Richie. Opal finishes the reading and then talks to Erica. She says she got a real reading from the cards - for Erica! "I saw change strike on your path," Opal says.
Jesse arrives at the cabin and questions Kendall about where Zach may have gone. Kendall stonewalls him, saying that he needs to talk to Zach. Jesse tries calling but Zach doesn't answer. He turns on Greenlee and Kendall, saying they did a stupid thing by coming here alone. Aidan walks in. Jesse checks on his other officers. Aidan tells the girls the same thing Jesse did. Jesse comes back and releases them. Aidan, Kendall and Greens leave. Jesse and the crime scene techs finish up their work at the cabin.
In a car, Zach is driving. He ignores Derek's call but a while later, he calls Jesse. "I found Novak," he says, looking at Richie's body in the road! Zach rolls the body over and watches it. Jesse arrives. Zach admits that he drove Richie's car and that he turned the body over but says he didn't do anything wrong. Aidan calls and Zach tells him to stay with the girls because Richie is dead. Zach then informs Jesse of his criminal past; Jesse says what matters are Zach's motives in the current case and the strong words Jesse overheard at the cabin. Zach says he didn't kill Richie. Jesse says he'll drive Zach home while the technicians finish working the scene. Zach asks where Richie will be buried. "I want to put the cover on that hole," he says!
Annie arrives home and runs straight in to Ryan's arms. He says Babe is okay but Richie is missing again. Ryan tells her about Jesse's visit and questions. When he won't give in, Annie says she doesn't know who she is any more. She worries about Emma and anything else that will distract Ryan. The police call and tell Ryan about the body found on the road. "I killed him," Annie says. She says if she hadn't gone to see him he wouldn't be dead now. He says she isn't to blame. Annie says she doesn't know how to feel about her brother being dead. She picks up her father's pocket watch and hears "Ring Around the Rosie" in her head. She remembers times that Richie was nice to her as a child and cries. Ryan says Jesse needs her to come to the morgue to identify Richie's body. They leave the penthouse.
Dre is driving Colby and Cassandra home. The road is very dark and Colby is very drunk and whining about Adam and being thirsty. Dre tries instructing Cass on where to find water in his backpack - and hits something in the road! Colby throws up! Dre wants to turn around but Colby whines that she wants to go home. Cassandra convinces him that they can return later.
At the Chandler manse, Babe calls Krystal to ask her to keep little A for the night. JR tries to calm her down but she blames herself for Richie's actions. Dre and the girls arrive. JR is incredibly ticked that Colby is drunk. She begs him not to tell Adam. Babe intervenes and tells JR to give Colby a break. He is worried that Colby will turn into a lush. The phone rings and JR asks Babe to stay for a second. Dre and Cassandra head Colby into the kitchen. When they are alone, JR tells Babe that Zach just found Richie's body. She sits heavily on the sofa and JR hugs her. "It's finally over," she says.
Dre and Cassandra sober Colby up a bit. She goes upstairs and Cassandra says she'll stay the night. They talk about Colby's drunken matchmaking efforts and laugh - then Dre kisses her!
Kendall, Greenlee and Aidan return to her home. She goes to check on the kids. Greenlee wonders when life will get back to normal. Zach calls. Aidan hangs up and tells them that Richie is dead. Zach arrives a short time later and says he didn't kill Richie. Kendall hugs him and says she knows. She says things are finally over but Zach says nothing is over.
Aidan takes Greenlee home. She thanks him for staying with her and offers him coffee. He is about to leave when Greens asks him to stay! He says it won't change anything and leaves.
Annie and Ryan arrive at the police station. Jesse shows them in to the morgue. "Richie!" she cries.
