Richie kidnaps Babe, Adam holds Krystal's hand, Jesse is sworn in as Chief and tells Zach to let the cops do their job.
The lights go out at Fusion! Greenlee screams and when Kendall manages to get the lights back on, says someone pushed her down. Amanda realizes that Babe is missing! They are about to call for help when they hear the elevator running. Kendall grabs a fire extinguisher and prepares to attack. It’s Zach! The girls tell him what happened. He tells Amanda to call the cops and goes off to search the building. Kendall has Amanda track down a photo of Babe as Greenlee says this reminds her of the night she fell into the bomb shelter. Kendall tries to hug Greens but Greens backs away. The cops arrive to take theie statements and Amanda calls JR. Amanda and Greenlee go to get some air as Kendall questions Zach about Richie. He says he had a plan for Richie because the court system wasn’t working.
Richie ties up Babe and puts her in the trunk of a car! He takes her to a secluded cabin!
Angie congratulates Jesse on his new position. As they are talking at the police station, an officer tells them that Richie is missing. Jesse isn’t worried because of the ankle monitor but then Ryan and Annie arrive – and say Richie got rid of the monitor! Jesse and another cop get started on plans to track Richie down. Angie reminds Jesse he hasn’t been sworn in yet and he has another officer get the mayor on the phone. Annie can’t stop thinking about Richie. Another detective arrives and says Fusion has been hit and a woman is missing. “Greenlee!” Annie exclaims. She is stunned when she learns that Babe is the missing woman. The mayor arrives and Jesse asks to be sworn in immediately. He and the mayor and Angie go into another room for the swearing in ceremony and Jesse is appointed Chief. Annie turns to Ryan and says Richie wouldn't have taken Babe. Ryan asks why not since he was so attached to Babe. Annie says it makes more sense to take Greens because of the bomb shelter fiasco. Ryan keeps questioning her. Annie tries to distract him with Emma, saying Richie might go after her. He says Emma is safe at Tad’s. Angie does a cursory exam of Annie because of the bump on her head. Annie keeps insisting she is fine. She asks if this could hurt a pregnancy! Angie tests Annie’s strength and asks about her cycles. Annie says she is a little late but it is probably nothing. Angie offers to take her to the hospital for a test but Annie says she wants to keep things quiet for now.
At the Chandler Manse, JR informs Adam that Babe and little A are moving back in because of the Richie situation. Adam says she won’t stay but JR thinks this is a new beginning. Krystal arrives with little A. As they are talking, Amanda calls. JR tells Adam about the kidnapping and Adam suggests Babe went willingly! Krystal is freaked and turns to go but JR convinces her to stay at the mansion for now. JR goes to call Tad to let him know what is going on. Adam tries to comfort Krystal but she pushes him away, saying she knows exactly what he really thinks about Babe. JR returns and says Tad is calling in some PI favors. She goes to check on little A. JR asks what he did to Krystal this time but Adam says he didn’t do anything wrong. Krystal returns and tells JR not to bother trying to reason with Adam. She tells him to sit with little A for a while. Instead of going to little A, though, JR leaves the mansion.
Jesse arrives at Fusion in time to hear Zach say he should have killed Richie days ago! Jesse tells Zach to let the police do the searching and butt out. Zach gives a quick statement about Annie and the hotel and says the justice system doesn’t work. Jesse says the cops will prevail and turns away. Kendall tries to get Zach to talk to her but he kisses her and then leaves. Jesse questions the women and then Amanda leaves. Jesse and the cops leave soon after. Kendall can’t believe another of their friends has been taken. She wants to fight back. Greenlee says they should go after Babe themselves!
In lockdown, Samuel tries to keep Erica calm. She sits by the wall and tells him about all the sad stories that the other inmates have told her; Sam is empathetic but Erica says that isn’t enough. He says the system isn’t perfect but he believes in it. She tells him about the plans she had to get through her jail term but says she couldn’t ignore the inconsistencies in the inmates' treatment. When she winds down, Sam tells her how his law career got started and why he became a prosecutor – so he could help the right people. He says the job was rewarding but his family suffered because of it, especially after his wife was killed. “I made the wrong choice,” he says, talking about his wife. Erica says he did nothing wrong but Sam believes, if he had listened to his wife, he could have kept her from dying on 9/11. He says he wants to be able to save his wife the way he saved Erica! He kisses her. Just then the warden arrives to release them. She apologizes profusely and leads them out.
Zach is at his office and recalls the night he beat up Richie. He goes to his desk and takes out a gun!
Jesse and the cops return to the station house after Angie finishes with Annie. He says he has to stay on the case and she leaves. Jesse asks Annie if she can stay so he can get a little more information. Ryan says Annie is done talking to anyone and leads her away. This concerns Jesse.
