Zach remembers Richie's voice, Treena comes to the hospital, Greenlee and Kendall finally talk, Annie and Ryan make progress.
In the hospital, Zach grabs Richie after hearing his voice. Down the hall, JR sees them and sends the police after Richie. They grab him and take him back to his exam room. Sitting on a gurney outside Richie's room, JR and Zach talk about him. One of the officers calls the judge for a warrant. JR tells Zach about the kidnapping and his suspicions about the bone marrow. Babe returns to say Treena is on her way to the hospital. Zach asks about JR's car, wondering if he really is remembering Richie's voice from the night he was hit. Treena arrives and says Richie did kidnap him because of the transplant. He says she doesn't need to be afraid of the cops and he'll keep the money a secret. JR calls the cop over and he leads her to another room.
In his room, Angie tells Richie he needs to rest because his body is shutting down. Richie starts disparaging Jesse and Angie tells him to stop or his health could get worse. After Angie leaves, Zach comes in as Richie is sleeping and cuts off his oxygen mask! Richie wakes, scared, and Zach asks about the night of the hit and run. Richie says he was out looking like the rest of the town but Zach doesn't believe him. Zach makes Richie read several comments including the phrases he said just before closing the bomb shelter lid on Zach and Greenlee. Angie comes into the room, hooks Richie up to a machine and grabs a syringe. She says it is time for a little lie detector test!
Zach returns to JR and Babe just as the cops tell JR that they can't arrest Richie because JR forced the confession out of Richie. Zach pipes up that JR couldn't have forced the confession because they were having a meeting at the casino just before JR found the other man. The cops let Zach give a statement. After he finishes, Babe thanks him for backing up JR.
Josh can't believe that Kendall is trying to - kind of - pimp him out to Greenlee. She says he had fun, Greenlee had fun and her suggestion would just continue that fun. When Josh calls her on it, Kendall tells him about all the weird things Greenlee has pulled lately. Josh says she has to trust Zach and ignore Greens. She asks him again but Josh turns her down. Kendall follows but he won't listen to her. He says she'll never completely write off Greenlee because she loves her. He tells her to go see Greens. Kendall tells him to call the cops if she doesn't return quickly.
Ryan arrives at the penthouse but Annie isn't there. He sees the messed up dining table and is worried about what might have happened.
Greenlee can't believe Annie is sitting on her sofa. Annie slowly walks toward Greenlee and then tells her to leave Ryan alone! "Get a grip," Greenlee says, insisting that she and Ryan are just friends. Annie doesn't believe her and asks where she took Ryan. Greens insists going on a motorcycle ride was Ryan's idea but Annie doesn't believe that either. Annie tells her she can't have Ryan even though she has gotten rid of her Ryan-substitute, Aidan! Ryan calls and Annie blows off his worries, saying the mess was not a big deal. She hangs up on him. Turning back to Greenlee, Annie reminds her that she walked out on Ryan - and now she better live with that fact! Annie leaves. Later, Kendall arrives but Greenlee won't let her in. Kendall just talks through the door, reminding Greens of all the struggles they have been through. She asks Greenlee for a chance to make things right. Greens opens the door. She tells Kendall about Annie's visit and the threats but gets angry when Kendall doesn't take her side and tries to stay neutral. Greenlee says she isn't ready to be best friends just yet and Kendall says she can wait. She grabs some makeup and fixes up Greenlee's face.
Annie arrives home and tells Ryan she made the mess because she was angry that he stood her up. She asks where he was and he is honest with her. She steps closer and asks if he wants her - or Greenlee! He can't believe it and says he isn't leaving her but he can't say he really wants to be with her. She cries that he will never connect with her the way he connects with Greenlee and that scares her. Ryan holds her as she cries. She asks about the surgery and he tells her the risks; she still doesn't want him to go through with it. Ryan wonders why. "What if you remember that you never really loved me at all?" she asks. She walks away but Ryan grabs her and kisses her! He carries her upstairs and they make love.
