You Didn't Tell Me I Could Still Feel! Tuesday, May 13 2008

Dixie becomes emotional at the mansion. Babe finally confronts Richie. Krystal gives Tad something to think about. Greenlee tries to reach Jake. Ryan has another memory flash.

At the PI office, Tad shows Krystal a list of New Mexico adoption agencies. She offers to help but he says he has to finish this alone. Then, he says he feels Dixie is very close to him, too. Krystal asks what happens once he finds Kate. He says he'll have his daughter back. This makes Tad think about the family who has adopted Kate, how they will feel and how Kate might feel to have a new parent in the picture. Tad gets angry but Krystal won't back down. She says he has to consider the feelings of Kate and her new family. He finally realizes she is right but he still can't imagine not being part of Kate's life. "When I find Kate, I'm not going to walk away," he says. She asks him to come up with a plan. Just then, the phone rings. A contact from New Mexico has sent him articles about adoptions from the time Kate was given up. Krystal puts her arms around him as he opens the message.

At the Chandler mansion, Babe and little A visit JR. Neither notice Dixie, sitting near the flowers JR had planned to take to her grave. Babe brings up Richie and Treena; he says there is too much going on with Adam to be worried about Richie. Babe leaves. Little A and JR play with Cassandra's elephant as Dixie watches over them, smiling and laughing. JR thinks about the stuffed giraffe, Cornelius, he used to have and wonders where it is now. He is distracted with a phone call so Dixie appears to little A. She tells him how much she loves him and that she'll always be watching. JR returns and sees little A staring into space; he wonders what the boy sees. JR and little A read a book together and then JR sings "You Are My Sunshine". Dixie joins in. JR kisses little A's head. The kiddo falls asleep so JR takes him to bed. Dix finishes the song, crying. She looks up and asks why they didn't tell her she could still feel. "Wasn't it enough to die and lose my children once?" she asks. JR returns to the room and sees Cornelius on a chair. Dixie smiles and reaches out to him but JR can't see her. "Mom?" he whispers, holding the giraffe close to his heart.

Richie is drinking at The Comeback when Treena walks in. He gives her some cash and orders her to leave him alone. She watches while he plays darts and then threatens to go to JR if he doesn't give her even more money. Richie grabs her and threatens to kill her if she doesn't disappear! Babe has just arrived and watches the incident. She waits a moment and then goes to Richie. She asks about Treena and Richie, again, tries to convince Babe that she was seeing things. Babe doesn't back down - she asks why Treena just left the bar with a big smile and a wad of cash! He tries to leave but Babe won't let him go. Richie defends his actions by saying that because she jumps in and out of JR's bed, he figured she would jump right into his. She slaps him and says things are over now. He finally shows his true colors, angering Babe even more. She asks why he set up JR but he won't admit to anything. He walks out.

Greenlee stops by Jake's hospital room. He asks if she loves Aidan and when she says she does, pretends to stab himself in the heart. He brings up Africa, telling her how much he misses his new home. He says Angie is overreacting and he wants to leave. He explains how much the people in Africa need him. Greenlee asks about Caroline. Jake admits that Caroline isn't his wife any more but won't say more. Greenlee keeps questioning him and finally Jake tells her about a young woman who helped in the village where he was stationed. She had 3 kids by the age of 18 and no husband. One day a group of rebels arrived and in the chaos she was shot, trying to protect the patients in the clinic. Jake begs her to help him get out of the hospital. She refuses. Jake asks for a snack so Greens leaves. He pulls out his IV's and monitors and then collapses! Greens returns and calls for help.

Ryan picks up Annie and takes her to the stables where he has a champagne picnic set up. He says this is to make up for missing their anniversary. Admitting he still doesn't remember, he says he wants to recapture their love. Annie can't take it and says she saw him at ConFusion with Greens! He says she should have come over but Annie angrily says she couldn't. She goes off on a tangent about Greenlee's needs being more important to Ryan than her needs and then says Greenlee doesn't care who she is with - as long as it is a man with broad shoulders! Ryan tries to calm her down but Annie won't listen. He asks her to start over but she can't do that. "You took the life I wanted," she exclaims and storms out. Ryan catches up to her and when he grabs her arms, he has a memory flash - of Annie!
