Jake is forced to operate in captivity. Greenlee reacts badly when Aidan says he's going to Africa. Tad thinks Adam is playing tricks but Krystal believes his sick. Colby and Cassandra make friends.

Cassandra and Frankie go to Colby and Dre's table. Colby invites them to sit down and Cassandra begs Frankie to stay with the two other kids. Finally, Frankie and Dre go to get drinks. Colby lets Cassandra know she is just Dre's friend. Cass says it doesn't matter because she isn't interested in dating. The four of them go to the patio. Dre and Cassandra are instantly attracted; Colby invites Cassandra to come hear Dre play sometime. Frankie tells them about Cass's poetry; Colby suggests they get together to make music. Frankie and Dre have to go so Colby takes Cassandra with her. Frankie warns Dre away from Cassandra.


Adam folds the adoption decree and puts it away as Krystal asks what is going on. Adam refuses to discuss his health so JR fills in Krystal and Tad. Tad finds the situation funny and is certain Adam is faking it. They verbally spar until Krystal steps in, trying to be kind. She, JR and Tad go to the hall and watch Adam. Back in the sitting room, Adam demands that Father Clarence stop whatever he is trying to do! Adam is certain he is behind the weird happenings. He says he'll never tell Tad the truth about Kate. Adam rips up the pieces of paper and begins eating it as Krystal and the others return. He cackles at them. Tad grabs the paper and pretends to eat it; he tells JR to try some, too. Adam laughs even harder but still won't talk so Krystal and Tad leave. Adam insists he doesn't need JR's help; JR isn't satisfied but Adam won't budge so he leaves. Adam pours a drink and then hears Dixie's song again. He looks into a mirror - and there she is!



Aidan and Zach look at Jake's file and the ransom demand of $1 million. Zach asks Aidan to keep the news about Jake from Tad; he agrees. Zach agrees to keep Kendall and Josh out of the loop, too. Just then Kendall bursts in. Aidan says he took the assignment and leaves. Kendall asks Zach what has changed; Zach will only say the situation has "escalated" but won't say more. Zach shows her the map of the Sudan and asks her to trust his judgment on this. She leaves. Zach goes over paperwork from a partnership deal with Ryan and then calls him.



Greenlee is setting up for seduction when Aidan walks in and says he is going to Africa. She follows him through the penthouse, trying to convince him not to go. When that doesn't work, she says she'll go along but he refuses. Greens calls Kendall for support and then returns to Aidan. He kisses her softly and then finishes packing. Dressed in desert fatigues, Aidan asks her not to come to the airport. He says he loves her and tries to return the flashy watch but she won't let him. He kisses her as she cries. Kendall arrives. Aidan finally leaves. Kendall tries to encourage Greens, who is certain that Aidan won't make it back alive.



In his cell in the Sudan, Jake tries to get free. A soldier comes in, loosens his bonds but then looks. Jake runs after him but can't get through the door. He tries breaking through the barred windows but soldiers come in with guns and order Jake to help an injured rebel! Jake checks out the man's wound. He cuts into the rebel, who screams in pain. Jake asks for his field kit and water. The injured rebel, a captain, speaks to him in English; Jake warns him that the surgery won't be easy. He goes to work, asking for more light and clean shirts. When he has trouble removing the bullet the captain threatens his life!



Robert breaks into the Hubbard apartment and begins searching for the elephant. He's angry. Cassandra and Colby return and he hides. Colby asks about Frankie and then invites Cass for a sleepover. Colby wanders around the apartment as Cassandra packs; Rob watches.
