Annie manipulates Ryan. Greenlee manipulates Zach. Jack attempts to manipulate the prison warden. Erica has nightmares. Aidan learns Jake is the prisoner in Africa.
Ryan goes to another therapy session. He tells Dr. Saltz about the break-in and how he is adjusting to living with Annie and Emma again. He says because of the break-in he is even more sure he needs to be at home.
At Fusion, Annie meets with a worker about a presentation. She sees the pole dancing footage and watches, wondering if Ryan will ever look at her the way he looked at Kendall that day. She comes up with another plan and puts the pole dancing footage in her presentation so she'll be fired! Ryan arrives while Annie is in the back room. She sees him first, stops, and then drops her files. She apologizes when she "sees" that it is Ryan and pretends to still be jumpy from the break-in. As they talk, Amanda and Babe wonder what they are supposed to do now. With both Greenlee and Kendall out of the office and not answering messages and Annie sidetracked with Ryan in the main office they can't get their work done. Amanda tries to eavesdrop but can't make out much that is said. Ryan tells Annie about his therapy; she realizes that his sessions are filled with talk about her. That makes her feel great. Ryan suggests a family trip - the two of them and the kids. Annie agrees.
Tad is researching Kate's adoption when Aidan arrives at the PI office. When he learns about the assignment, Tad warns him that Zach might have ulterior motives. Aidan insists everything is on the up and up. Tad asks if Aidan took the assignment because he still feels guilty about sleeping with Kendall. Aidan insists he doesn't feel guilty and just wants to do his job. Tad finally gives in and tells him to be very careful. Tad returns to the Kate file but realizes that Dixie's picture is missing!
At Zach's office, Greenlee demands to know what they're keeping from her about Aidan. Kendall says they are both just worried and reminds her that Aidan was in special ops for a while. Greenlee tries to manipulate her by using their friendship. Zach steps in, insisting that Aidan is the best man for the job. He tells Greenlee he has no ulterior motives. Greens brings up Ryan and says he owes her. He gives in and says he'll take Aidan off the case. Rachael calls and Kendall decides to go home to see the boys; Greenlee goes with her. Aidan arrives. Zach says he is off the case but Aidan says he has to go - because Tad's brother, Jake, is the hostage! He shows Zach the updated file.
In a cold cell in Africa, Jake, beaten and tied up, sits against a wall.
In solitary confinement, Erica dreams that she is dead! She wakes herself but another dream begins almost immediately. This time she sees a birthday cake from her father! She manages to get the cake out of her mind but then has memories of all her ex-husbands and how the marriages ended. She hears yelling voices and sees ten different wedding rings. Then she hears Jack say, "I don't love you." Next, she dreams of Mona, who encourages her to be strong. She dreams of Bianca, Kendall and Josh, then sees the door open and Samuel carries her out of the room!
Jack arrives at the prison and demands to see the warden. The guard finally agrees to get the warden after Carmen chimes in that Erica is being held against her will! The warden meets with Jack but insists that Erica isn't being punished in solitary. She says Erica is being protected from the other inmates! Jack doesn't believe her and says so but she won't give in. He calls the director of prisons and demands action on Erica's behalf.

'Manipulations' ....... Good epi' title! hehehe 
I've had a hard time 'connecting the dots' on the s/l of Ryan loosing his memory from the beginning!!!!! M-a-y-b-e the intent was to 'stir the pot' between the 3 couples. If that's the case....I think they accomplished what they set out to do! hehehe I would like to see Ryan get his memory back, and him and Annie return to the couple they were b4!! I just don't feel Annie playing tricks on him is going to acheive the lasting effect she's hoping for!! JMO!
