Jesse and Cassandra are nervous about meeting one another. Zach learns of trouble in Africa. Tad reacts badly to Aidan's job news. Greenlee questions Kendall. Annie throws suspicion for the break-in onto Richie!
Jesse, Angie and Frankie are preparing their apartment for Cassandra's arrival. Jesse is nervous about meeting her. Angie leaves. Jesse makes a mess in the kitchen; Frankie gives him some pointers on how to interact with Cassandra. Jesse is sure things will be fine because he already loves Cassandra. Frankie says things won't be that simple because Cassandra is 18 and has all the "issues" that teenage girls usually have - like being annoying as often as possible!
At the airport, Cassandra runs straight to Angie. She is ready to get back home but Cassandra hangs back. She is worried about meeting Jesse and wonders how Angie could have fallen for him - again! - so quickly. Angie says she never got over Jesse and they leave for home. When they arrive, Cassandra and Frankie hug and then Cassandra looks at Jesse and says, "You're him!"
In bed, Greenlee and Aidan make plans for the day and then leave for work.
Kendall and Zach wake up after burning down Sylvester's cabin. He says all the bad memories are gone now; she thanks him for helping her burn it down. Zach is glad the fire department took his large donation and didn't arrest them for the blaze! He leaves. Kendall and Greenlee meet in the elevator at Fusion. Greens locks them in the elevator and orders Kendall to tell her what is going on; Kendall says nothing is wrong but Greenlee doesn't believe her. She keeps pushing until Kendall tells her that not knowing if Zach was alive or dead nearly killed her and getting back to normal with him now is hard, but they are working through everything. She tells Greenlee about burning down Sylvester's house. Greens is stunned.
In bed, Greenlee and Aidan make plans for the day and then leave for work.
Tad calls a contact and asks her to investigate what happened to Greg Madden's nurse. He hopes she'll lead him to Kate. Zach arrives and tells him about burning down the cabin as Aidan walks in. Tad wonders why the cabin needed to be burned but Zach won't give him a straight answer. He gives Tad a big check to cover the damages. He brings up Aidan's new job, which concerns Tad, who thought Aidan was still his partner! Zach suggests that Aidan reconsider his job offer but Aidan says it isn't necessary. Tad sarcastically says Aidan definitely isn't interested since they only have twenty or so open cases. Zach leaves. Tad tells Aidan Zach's job offer is a big mistake. Aidan says it is okay because Kendall will never tell Zach what happened! Tad tells Aidan to be very careful and then he leaves. Tad looks at a picture of Dixie and swears he'll find Kate.
Zach goes to Cambias. Josh meets him and says a fringe group in Africa has taken hostage a worker from a medical project Cambias is funding! Zach asks who but Josh doesn't know yet. Aidan arrives. Zach gives him the Darfur file and tells Aidan he's leaving town!
At the penthouse, Annie thanks Ryan for taking care of Emma while she cleaned up after the police checked out the penthouse. He asks a few questions about who it might have been, prompting an anxiety-fueled asthma attack. Ryan wants to know how to help and is relieved when Annie finds her inhaler. He asks if the police were right and Richie could be behind the break-in but Annie won't give him an answer. Emma comes down, ready for school. Annie goes to work; Babe questions her about the cut on her forehead. Annie tells her about the "break in"; Babe wonders if it was Richie. Annie says she doesn't know and she is trusting in Ryan to make things better. She swears Babe to secrecy as Kendall and Greenlee walk in. The girls get to work.
At Opal's, Richie calls his doctor and demands to know if JR was infected before or after the marrow transplant. He hangs up as Opal walks in. He asks her again about the tarot reading and Opal says the cards aren't always 100% right; she says Richie should just be extra careful for awhile. Ryan arrives. In a loud voice, Opal introduces herself and invites him in. Ryan knows who she is. When Opal starts rambling about her book rounds at the hospital Ryan interrupts and asks for Richie. Opal points him out and then makes herself scarce. Ryan tells Richie about the break in. Richie says he wasn't there and then threatens Ryan. He leaves. Richie goes to Fusion, sees Annie in the elevator and asks what she is up to this time around! Annie pretends not to understand, hits the elevator button and gets off the carriage. She returns to work where the girls are looking at the Mother's Day launch ads.
Ryan goes to see his therapist and says moving back in was absolutely the right thing to do.
