The Hubbards watch the cops begin to dig up Jesse's coffin. Zach and Kendall can't see eye to eye. Ryan has it out with his therapist. Annie plots to win Ryan's heart. Erica propositions Jack - and Samuel!
In the waiting area of the prison, Carmen warns Erica that the women will be mad if she doesn't come through. Just then both Jack and Samuel arrive. Carmen instantly falls under Samuel's charm; Erica tells the men about her plans for rehabilitation, counseling and job-training programs for the inmates. Jack and Samuel are blown away. She asks Sam to spearhead the training programs and then asks Jack to take on Carmen's appeal! Sam reminds her that this won't be a quick change with fast results but she plods ahead. Samuel is called away. Jack asks about the inmates and Carmen tells him about the note. Erica insists no one will hurt her but Jack isn't sure. Erica jabbers about Carmen until Carmen interrupts, making her focus on Jack. He agrees to help Carmen. He takes Carmen aside to talk about her case. Sam returns and asks Erica about the warden. Erica says the warden can't turn down her ideas because they are good for the inmates. Jack finishes his talk with Carmen. Samuel says he is ready to move forward if he is.
Jesse gives Angie one last chance to go home but she refuses. Tad arrives. None of them notice that Robert has arrived and is watching them. By phone, he tells the diamond brokers he'll have more rocks soon. Rob pulls a gun and watches as the crews begin digging. Angie has a bad feeling that whatever is dug up will change their lives for the worse! Jesse is focused on the coffin and what might be inside. Frankie goes to reassure Angie. The coffin is finally raised to ground level. They cops open it up. "Oh my," Angie says in horror.
Ryan goes to see the therapist. Ryan tells her about seeing Greenlee and says it is easy to be with her because she doesn't make demands on him. She asks why. He tells her about Greens' engagement and says he is fine with it. "Even though the only person who "gets" you is marrying someone else?" the doctor asks. He mentions moving back in with Annie and the doctor questions his motives. Ryan hopes that by being with Annie some of his memories will return and says in the meantime, he'll be able to give Emma some security. When she answers his statements with more questions, Ryan lashes out at her and asks what he is supposed to do. She asks more questions. Ryan storms out.
Julia and Kathy arrive at Annie's for a play-date. As the girls play Julia notices Ryan's things and Annie fills her in. She admits that she prays for Ryan to remember her but he doesn't. Julia asks what she is doing to make him remember. Annie realizes that they only talk about Emma or his memory loss, not their relationship. Annie says life at Wildwind was so much simpler than living with amnesiac Ryan. Julia teases her because she was stressed out about Ryan as much when she was at Wildwind as she is now. Julia and Kathy leave a while later. She is cleaning up when memories about Ryan come to the surface. She remembers how he saved her life in the plane and tells him he needs saving. She turns to go upstairs, trips over one of Emma's toys and makes a mess in the living room. Her forehead is cut and she is shaking. Ryan knocks on the door and calls to her! Annie opens the door and Ryan freaks out with worry. Annie says she must have left the door open after Julia left and someone broken in! Ryan hugs her and swears no one will hurt her as long as he is around.
After throwing the water, Kendall begs Zach to talk to her. She tells him to admit his true feelings. Zach says if he'd known that she slept with Aidan he would have chosen to die in the bomb shelter! She can't believe he would rather be dead than with her and the boys. He says that he can't stop thinking about Aidan and he always feels like screaming or destroying things. "You and Aidan. . .it doesn't belong here, it doesn't belong with us," he says and tells her that she has to let it go or he will never be able to get past it. Crying, Kendall runs from the room. She gets a can of gas and goes to Sylvester's shack in the woods. Kendall remembers everything about that night, from the argument with Aidan to how she felt after sleeping with him. She begins to pour the gas over the floor. As she finishes up, Zach walks in and asks what she is doing. She says she is letting go. She places his hand over her heart and says she is taking her life back. Kendall grabs a match but Zach won't let her light it. He walks to the door and asks if she is ready; together they each light a match and burn the house down! Outside, they watch for a moment and then Zach tells her everything else is gone now.
