Frankie tells Jesse about the war in Iraq. Angie makes a pact with Rob. Kendall takes Zach to Sylvester's cabin. Annie and Ryan talk about their relationship. Aidan tells Tad about Kendall.
Angie returns home and is very upset to find that Jesse is busy working on Robert Gardner's Papel file! She angrily asks why he can't forget about Papel. Jesse yells that he doesn't have closure yet. Angie begs him to put the past away and focus on the present and the future. Jesse, though, wants to know why their past was taken from them. Frankie returns home and listens for a second. Then he says he can't let the past go either! Frankie and Jesse tell Angie that they aren't 100% safe until they know what Papel was after for the past 20 years. Angie points out that whatever Papel was looking for is obviously not with them so it shouldn't matter. Frankie and Jesse try to convince her of the danger but she storms out. Frankie brings up his time in Iraq. Upset, Frankie tells Jesse about a young kid he found, beaten on the street. He was so worried about the kid that he didn't check him for weapons and once he was inside the compound the kid killed three soldiers and then committed suicide. Jesse says Frankie has to let it go. Frankie can't forgive himself and begs Jesse not to tell Angie because he is afraid the knowledge would turn Angie against him.
Rob is in his room at the Yacht Club, working on another crane. He tells the bellhop that once he folds 1000 of them his wish will come true. Angie arrives, surprising Rob. She cuts to the chase and asks Rob to stop talking to Jesse about Papel because he is fixated on the past. Rob says he didn't mean to cause trouble. He turns on the charm and says he was just trying to make a friend since he doesn't know anyone in Pine Valley. Angie says he is always welcome at their home and invites him for dinner sometime - as long as Papel isn't brought up. She leaves. Rob shuts the door and returns to his desk where he begins folding more cranes.
Annie spots Ryan at the elevator and announces that his fan base is dwindling because Greens and Aidan are now engaged. Ryan gushes over the ring and then kisses her hand. He asks about the wedding plans and is curious when Greenlee says the sooner the better. Annie says fast is a good thing. She and Greenlee spar a little over the for-better-or-worse part of the wedding vows, confusing Ryan. He cuts in and suggests that he buy matching motorcycle helmets. Annie realizes that Ryan has recovered more memories - but not of her. Greens tries to cover for him, but Annie doesn't believe them. Greenlee leaves to meet Aidan. At the door she drops some papers and Ryan rushes to help her pick them up. He thanks her for the helmet lie. She hurries away as Annie approaches. She asks Ryan what he wants. He tells her about the therapist and asks how they fell in love. Annie tells him about their beginning and how he never gave up on her. Annie tells him about some romantic moments and sadly says that they were really in love. She says his loyalty is what made her believe he was really in love with her. Ryan has another memory flash - this time of Kendall! Then he flashes back to a lunch with Greenlee. Annie believes he is trying to remember a moment with her and reaches out to hold his hand. Ryan thinks about what the doctor said to him. Annie says she believes they still have a chance and goes back to her desk.
At the office, Tad says he can see that things aren't as perfect as the picture Aidan is trying to paint and asks again what is really going on. Aidan finally says he was in a very bad place while Greenlee and Zach were missing. He tells Tad about the night he and Kendall went searching together and how desperate they were. Then he tearfully tells Tad that they had grief sex. Tad warns Aidan that Zach can never know, then says Greenlee shouldn't be told either. Greenlee walks in and asks what she shouldn't be told about. Tad keeps quiet; Aidan says there are things she shouldn't know. Greenlee doesn't catch on to the tension in the room and believes he is talking about the wedding. She says she wants to get married as soon as possible. The three of them toast with Greenlee's concoction of champagne and stout, making Tad choke. Greenlee starts rambling about the wedding plans and all the people she is going to invite - specifically Kendall and Zach.
At home, Kendall begs Zach to forgive her. He repeats that she should have been honest from the beginning. Crying, Kendall says she didn't want to disappoint him and asks what she can do to fix things now. Zach doesn't know how anything can be fixed. Kendall brings up the Los Angeles trip and asks if he sent Aidan along as a test. Zach doesn't deny it. Kendall tearfully asks what he thinks happened the night they had sex. Zach only says he was sure he could trust Aidan with her in LA. He asks about the pregnancy and asks whose child she thought she was carrying. Kendall tells him not to go there and they start arguing about who is more in the wrong. She tries to explain again but he just wants to leave. Kendall convinces him to come to Sylvester's house. She insists that he come inside and slowly opens the door. The room is cold and dirty with only the barest of essentials. She tells him how she punched and kicked at Aidan and how things turned. Crying, she says she won't fight him if he is ready to give up on her and their marriage. She sinks to floor. Zach goes to her and says she is exactly who he thought she was all along. He reaches out to her and says everything will be okay. Kendall takes his hand and he asks her to come home with him.
